I love the environment of this salon and usually get pedicures at this spot. I do feel like the day I got my nails done, like already look like they're grown out a week- As well as my cuticles. I guess they don't remove cuticles with the oil and cuticle scissors anymore. Just with an electric nail buffer. Design for these flowers on my ring fingers were an additional $15. Ladies...and gentlemen, this is the place to treat yourself and become a regular. I mean not only is this place beautiful inside but the quality of work they put is exceptional. I'm not from Livermore, I came to visit family and live in the heart of Los Angeles and this place is well worth getting your nails done. Nikki has such attention to detail. When I say that, I mean I have short nails and bright red nail color is crucial!!! She did phenomenal! Not only that she was very welcoming, we laughed a bit, which is a huge plus to new customers. I recommend her 100% Mimi was precise on my toes and her foot massages were simply soothing. I could fall asleep! Definitely upgrade to the deluxe mani and pedi- just do it you deserve it, and while you are it, get yourself a drink, I got red wine, cause why not? It was 2 weeks to the day and they didn't honor the warranty. The nails broke at the tip because of not enough glue - not due to wear and tear. It's clear that Royal Nail is focused on money instead of building client relationships. I typically don't add bad reviews on yelp but I truly don't think this place is worth the pricing! I showed a reference picture for basic acrylics with French tips and a few gold accents (gems), the final product ended up being $115 (+15 dollar tip) and the design was slightly different from what I wanted. And although the service was really good. I felt my nail tech was slightly inexperienced and she had to request help but still did not get the correct end product. My nail beds also felt badly irritated during and after the manicure. Overall my nails are pointed upwards at an awkward angle, chunky, and a little sloppy. I am going to copy and paste a post I made in Livermore rants and raves today. I am hoping that the owners of this salon will see this and realize that this behavior is losing them customers. Please train your managers how to treat their staff properly. Please see screenshots of replies to my post in photos. I am not the only customer lost because of this behavior. This is both a rant and a rave. Firstly it's a rant to the owners of Royal Nail spa. I have been going there for several months now and in the time that I've been going they have had a lot of turn over of people working the front desk. The reason for this is very obvious. EVERY time I have been in there, the way the owner talks to the front desk ladies is extremely rude and she does it in front of all of the customers. I have tried to bite my tongue but once, seeing how rude she was to an older lady who was working there I had to tell the older lady that she was doing a great job because I felt SO bad for her. I thought I would give it one more chance but today I went in and they had yet another new girl working the desk. The girl was young and looked absolutely miserable and I don't blame her. The owner was outright chastising her in front of all of the customers and being snappy and rude to her. Then, after the girl left for the day I was the last customer in there and the owner then proceeded to talk about the girl in a mean spirited way right in front of me for about 20 minutes. I couldn't bite my tongue anymore so I told her that she has lost a customer because of the way that she treats her front desk staff. She then tried to justify it to me but I'm sorry, you don't talk about your staff in front of people or treat them that way. Now a raveto the rest of the lovely ladies who work there, you all do a great job and a big rave to the front desk staff who are probably working for minimum wage and putting up with bad treatment. You have all done a great job when I have been there. Find another job where you are respected and appreciated!! read more

I was able to get a last minute appointment for a pedicure on a Monday. They were busier than I expected on a weekday, so I would recommend making an appointment. Pedicures start at $38, I got the deluxe pedicure ($55) which took just about an hour. The salon felt clean, everyone was friendly and they offer complimentary drinks- non-alcoholic and wines/Bellini. My skin felt soft and my nails look great when finished. I would go back. read more

My friend booked us to get our nails done here. I got the impression that the experience will depend on the nail technician you get. My pedicure was fine, although somehow mine was less time than my friends even though I got a more expensive service with more steps. My manicure was pretty bad. On some nails she didn't go far enough up to my cuticles so they already look old, and on some nails she flooded my cuticles underneath so they weren't trimmed well. She also cut me pretty bad. Look I understand accidents happen and I've been cut before, but this was the worst I've ever been cut. It was bleeding my entire appointment but she didn't address it, and then at the very end she cleaned it with a solution. Well it bled on and off all day and was very sore. I ended up having to put a bandaid on for the next week which is really not something you want to do after just getting your nails done. Also I showed her the attached photo for the design I wanted and asked if she could do that, and she said she could. We've been to Royal Nails Spa multiple times now and usually have a good experience. However our most recent experience was iffy. One week ago I came in for a full acrylic set and paid extra for the gel builder. They sold me on it saying it's long lasting, lightweight, etc. Fast forward to a week later, every single nail is lifting from the edges and bubbling. I called yesterday morning asking for a fill or something to fix the issue and got an evening appt. Over the phone I was told it would most likely be no charge to me to fix the nails since the gel builder failed. Once I got to the salon, Amanda realized there was something wrong with my gel builder and shaved everything down and basically started from scratch. I didn't think anything of it because she said she's never seen gel builder have a failure. She redid all my nails and and I'm happy with them. When we went to checkout my nails ended up costing $56. She said she gave me 20% off, which means the original charge was $65+ (same price as a full set). So basically I paid for 2 full sets within one week, and the issue with the gel was no fault of my own. I chose not to argue the price because everyone in the salon was working hard and fast and it was near the end of everyone's day, but I am a little disappointed, hence why I'm writing this updated review. We've liked all our pedicures here, but this was my first time getting my nails done at this salon and I don't feel so good about that experience so it'll probably be a while before I try this again. read more
