I usually see Ni or Beth, and they really are wonderful people, it's a pleasure chatting with them throughout the service. sometimes I bring a photo for inspiration and sometimes I pick from the available colors, each new set I get here is my newest favorite. For some reason, their online booking doesn't allow for appt cancellation or rescheduling. This is a huge inconvenience where I would have to call in to cancel each time. This was my first visit to this salon and I was quite impressed with the quality of my visit. I walked in at 3:33pm and walked out at around 5:30. I've been here a few times prior and never had issues until today. My appointment was for gel polish change. As I sat down, I showed both the front desk lady and Bella (the nail tech) how I wanted it drawn ( 2 basic bows, and 2 ombré glitter). She gave me a price for the polish change and the price for the BASIC design on FOUR fingers (the photo I showed also included the tiny gemstones on the bows .) the total was $58 prior to her starting. I told her to just cancel the 2 designs and I'll just keep the other 2. Once finished, they still charged me $58. I said hold on, we only did the 2 design and I got charged for 4. Bella tells the front desk "that's the price I told her from the beginning." I disagreed and asked why am I being charged for 4 but only got 2 designs. Bella then tells the front desk lady in Vietnamese (BTW, yes I speak Vietnamese!!) "Oh just tell her the extra was for the two gemstones then)" so not only did you make up the price, but you were disingenuous about why it was incorrect! The fact is that I can understand what you said in Vietnamese, I can only imagine how many other customers were misled about their pricing!! read more

I'll start this review by saying I've only been to Royal Nails once, and I only got one treatment (a gel manicure). The salon is new, and it's very clean and organized. There are so many chairs and tables -- I cannot imagine how many customers you could pack in there. I was invited by a girlfriend, who was getting a mani/pedi, and the staff allowed me to sit in a pedicure chair for the duration of my manicure, even though I wasn't getting a pedicure. This was so nice, and I really appreciated it. I also really appreciated being able to book the appointment online. I do think that prices should be made available online though. The staff brings you a menu - similar to something you'd see at a restaurant - and it's not simple to decipher. This is when I learned I'd be paying $58 for a gel manicure (pre-tip). I enjoyed the manicure while it was happening, but after completion, the edges weren't clean, the cuticles weren't taken care of at all, and I had to go home and take a nail file around the edges to clean them up. It wasn't horrible at all, but definitely not worth the $58 + tip that I spent in my honest opinion. The staff asked if I was happy when I checked out, but how do you really say that you're not satisfied when the treatment's already done? I am not sure I'd go back, based on this experience. The photo is from the day of, after I cleaned up the edges. I'm about a week and a half post-manicure now, and my cuticles look horrible, and the color has begun to chip. read more

I wanted to give this salon a try as I had seen great reviews on Yelp, and Amanda seemed to be the go to. I liked the ease of scheduling online. The salon was nice, very clean, and the receptionist up front was friendly. Amanda however wasn't very friendly. When I asked to have one of my nails reshaped to be more square round which it was more square, she acted annoyed. None of my nails are the same shape. Then she told me I messed up my nail, did I want her to fix it? I literally did nothing to mess it up. What technician blames the client? That has never happened to me before. She did an awful job, obvious bubbles, and divits on my nails, and paint all over my skin. My only compliment was she was gentle. Then I was told I needed to get cash out of their ATM for a tip, and when I did that and asked for change I got all $5 bills like I was forced to tip more than I would have liked. My pedicure by Helen was nice, she did a good job, it would have been nice though to have been told it was $10 extra for a French polish. I showed my husband when I got home, and he said my toes looked nice, but my nails looked terrible, and were definitely not even close to being worth the $80 I was charged. Okkk this salon is soo cute and sooo big!! I called on a Thursday afternoon for an appointment for a pedicure (same day, 30 minutes later). The woman who answered the call was very friendly, sweet, and helpful! I arrived a few minutes late and apologized. They were very kind and said not to worry. They gave me a menu of their services and offered me a beverage. I was coming in for a simple pedicure. Overall I thought It was great!! The service was quick, but there was attention to detail (both are pluses for me), the salon was clean, aesthetically pleasing, and the staff I interacted with were all friendly. I am honestly a very easy going nail customer. HOWEVER I had the weirdest experience getting a builder gel manicure and pedicure here. The pedicure was fine, no complaints there, they use a timer for massages which is pretty standard across the board I feel. My sister and I made an appointment for 430 and I ended up waiting 30 minutes to be seen and she waited a full hour. This was upsetting but not too crazy considering the place was super busy - Oh well. The truly weird part came when we had our builder gel manicures. These ladies had a very odd technique of throwing builder gel all over your nail in giant globs and then spending an eternity filing it off later? We were very confused looking at the builder gel globs drooping off on to our skin and the technicians were completely unphased so I assume that's how they do things there! It was hard not to laugh with how ridiculous it looked. Not sure what kinda technology they use but their UV is also insanely strong and painful for some reason ?? I've had my nails done at many different places and have not experienced pain like this during a manicure. I had to take my hand out every couple seconds and my sisters tech instructed her to repeatedly put her hand in and out to keep it from burning. They also cut my sister while trying to clean up her nails and made her bleed. Never seen that before ! Just such a weird experience all around. The final product of nails was okay, but the journey of getting there I don't want to go through again. Sorry y'all I don't know how this place had so many people inside !! read more

Hurray! I stopped getting regular manicures when Amanda and Andy left Glamor Nails but they are back in a new (dare I say glamorous) shop across the street from their last location. Came in for a manicure and pedicure. It's a beautiful space and the employees are lovely. You can get nail art as fancy or as simple as you like. The employees are masked and everything is clean.
