    Crispy pad Thai with shrimp
    Lena Y.

My family and I got carry out for dinner. I generally get pad Thai but this time I tried the crispy pad Thai with shrimp. Flavor explosion with the first bite and mix of sweet & savory.

Really great asian food. Great Pad Thai, spring rolls, and fried rice. They do takeout as well. Best asian in the area.

Excellent pad thai. Mango curry is good too. I am pleasantly shocked that NE Mass can get this quality of Thai food.

Perfectly cooked noodles and chicken, flavorful, simply delicious, Decor and ambience are beautiful. Friendly attentive service. Lots of off street parking. I had a delightful discussion with the chef, Nouk. Since I prepare Thai food myself, we had a lively discussion about making laab and papaya salad. If you love Thai food, run don't walk to Sanouks.. highly recommended. Having discovered it, I will dine at Nouks whenever I get the opportunity presents itself. Yum!

We all gos our drinks and placed our orders in and my daughter and mother in law got their food. Papaya salad and chicken skin. The chicken skin was amazing especially with the sauce. Really enjoyed the sticky rice which looks hard but isn't. I ordered the Pad Kra Pao with pork but Pho came in and I told them we didn't ordered that. Then an order of crab Rangoons came which we didn't order and we list let it sit on our table and about 10 min went by and we decided to eat it since I was getting hungry. I sat there for about an hour waiting for my food then the owner came out to show me what she wrote down and we crossed everything off that came then she said it would be coming out. Another 20 min pass and they deliver my food which was wrong again lol... I laughed it off because I know they're trying but I didn't send it back since I was getting hangry. All the food was great, they just need to get a better system from taking orders and getting those orders to the chef and brining the items to the correct table. To top it off, she gave us our recipe and that was all wrong as well. Like I said the food is amazing just getting what you ordered was the hard part. I hope to give this place a try but not sure yet.

It was made very clear when the order was placed that I am intolerant/allergic to green peppers. Unfortunately, when I opened the meal at home, roughly HALF of it was green peppers. The meal was completely inedible for me and had to be thrown away. Mistakes happen, but what has been especially disappointing is how the restaurant handled it afterward. I called and spoke with two different people, explained exactly what had happened, and was promised both a call back and a refund. It has now been a full week. I have received no call, no refund, no apology, and no follow-up of any kind. When a customer specifically tells a restaurant about a food allergy or intolerance, it needs to be taken seriously. This wasn't a minor mistake where one stray piece of pepper ended up in the dish -- green peppers made up a substantial portion of the meal. I gave the restaurant an opportunity to address the problem privately before posting this review, but after a week of being ignored despite being promised a response, I feel this experience deserves to be shared. Very disappointing, particularly because my family chose this restaurant for their dinner and I expected much better handling of an allergy-related concern.

Excellent Thai street food and dim sum at Bangkok Street Thai Kitchen in Portsmouth!…read more The inside is kept nice and cool during a hot summer's day with rather dim lighting, so doing my Yelp thing and shooting photos required two phones. One for light, and the other took the pictures...! I ordered the pork and shrimp shumai, which arrived with a nice soy based sauce, crispy garlic, and fresh cilantro. The wrappers were delicate and the filling well-seasoned. When I asked about egg fried rice with Lap Cheong (sweet Chinese sausage), the kitchen prepared it even though it is not listed on the menu. It turned out to be one of the best versions I have had, and my server Arisa mentioned it is also a favorite of hers and her husband's. The Pad Kee Mao with beef (Nua) was flavorful, with wide rice noodles, fresh basil, and vegetables cooked to the right texture. The added bamboo shoots aren't normally on that dish, but a welcome addition here. Arisa was an outstanding server. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to talk about Thai food traditions and family memories. The conversation made the meal more enjoyable. The restaurant's story about its Thai-Chinese roots on Charoen Krung Road comes through in both the menu and the service. Everything I tried was delicious. Highly recommend a visit if you are looking for quality Thai food and dim sum in the Portsmouth area.

The word that comes to mind when I think of the meal was genuinely savory across many flavor profiles. None of the dishes came out particularly spicy hot. The Larb Gai was tangy with the lime coming through and served with sticky rice. Absolutely delicious. The Penang curry was rich and full of both protein and veggies. We got it with white rice and the curry was so tasty with the peanut flavor present. The Tom Yum soup was among the best we have ever had, with the right amount of rich flavors, saltiness, and slightest bit of hot pepper. The mushrooms absorb the flavor and are so good! We started with Paradise Beef (it comes with 4 strips, but we ate two before I took the picture). It's like a cross between beef jerky and satay, with a flavor that boasts tangy and a hint of sweetness, emboldened by the sweet and sour sauce. This was something we ordered just because the description was interesting and it was a wonderful way to start the meal! The atmosphere is classic with a modern flair and extremely clean. The service was pleasant, prompt, friendly, and natural. We found street parking, which was convenient. Overall, this is hidden gem. We will gladly return!

I had a very pleasant lunch yesterday. Ordered seafood drunken noodles. I was served a very generous and delicious plate of noodles, veggies, squid, shrimp and scallops. I enjoyed it, but found it somewhat less flavorful than I would have liked. Possibly catering to a mostly Caucasian clientele, for my taste it probably could have used more fish sauce, My thoughts only, They have an expansive Thai menu which I look forward to sampling over the coming months. It is on the more expensive side, which is likely justified by a large portion size and fresh ingredients and ever increasing national prices. This is a very stylish restaurant inside with a clean elegant decor. Very suitable for a special meal. Service was fast and friendly, beautiful clean bathrooms and lots of off street parking.
