Very Lower quality food, Cleary not made wok fresh-like previous owners did, the prepped hours before dried out chicken sat like garbage in my GREY stuck together in lumps rice which was tasteless. Pad Thai had NO PEANUTS (should be a crime) Sauce was Way TOO Sweet like they poured it out of a jar from Market Basket. Noodles were TOO thick & undercooked-& too many unwelcome added fillers of Chinese veggies no one likes or orders on the side-EVER. Only other place I got pad Thai this horrible was "Thai Sweet Basil" in Andover, MA which something tells me they bought a second location-I also DON'T Recommend wasting your money at. UGH! Pretty good no frills Thai restaurant. The basil pad Thai was amazing and I would definitely give 5 stars based on that dish alone. We also got duck in some Thai style thing, and while flavorful, the saltiness was definitely noticeable. The pad see ew used the same noodles as the pad thai rather than wide noodles as you'd expect, and it basically tasted like the pad thai with less flavor (would not recommend). read more

Very small unassuming place serving very decent Thai food in the middle of nowhere, i.e. Reading, which we were in only because the Wallyworld there is closer than the one in Saugus. Just one server, who was very nice, and maybe 1-2 people in the kitchen tops. So the food wasn't made super quick, but that's actually a good sign if you think about it (means it can't be pre-made Sysco crap but possibly made to order and from scratch). I won't claim this is the best Thai food I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the worst. Portions were quite generous and we had to take half of the noodles and fried rice home, which means solid value. Even more generous: there seemed to be more meat/shrimp than rice/noodles! My only quibbles: the Tom Yum soup was a bit too sweet and not sour enough (plenty spicy though), and the "tamarind duck" was unfortunately battered and deep fried, which the menu listing failed to indicate. I ordered the latter because I was curious, having never had duck in a Thai place before...I won't again, as deep-frying duck = it ends up tasting mostly like boring, bland & dry CHICKEN, not deliciously juicy & fatty & flavorful duck in all its natural glory. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied the duck in a beautiful bowl of assorted veggies helped a lot, though it really tasted more like Chinese sweet-and-sour than Thai...don't think there was much tamarind. Ergo, in the future I will restrict my duck ordering to the Chinese BBQ place in Chinatown. Coulda shoulda woulda...sigh. However, that is not enough to deter me from coming back here next time I'm in town. Just will stick to the tried and true Thai standards. read more

Very good food. We got Spicy Bamboo with beef which was very tasty. The vegetables in the dish were yummy. The beef could have been cooked till more tender. It was too chewy for me. We had an appetizer, golden triangles, that were okay. I bet they would be better if there were 2-3 larger ones rather than many smaller ones. They reminded me of tiny Indian Samosas. The sweet chili sauce was perfect. The service was great. Atmosphere is that of a small place with about 10 tables. I would return for sure. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for quite a while. I stopped in for takeout on a Saturday night. The place is very small, less than 10 tables and it was packed on a Saturday night around 7. There is really no waiting area/place to stand for pickup. I awkwardly waited a minute while they ran my credit card in back and gave me my food. The food was really delicious. I had Golden Triangles (they ran out of Thai rolls) and Green curry with Chicken with a side of rice. The Green curry included bamboo shoots, peas, broccoli, string beans, zucchini, green peppers, eggplant, carrots & fresh basil leaves. The veggies were super fresh and I liked that they were crunchy, even the next day with my leftovers. The green curry was really tasty- not too spicy, just the right amount of kick. Plenty of food, almost 2 full meals from one order. Not sure if I would sit and have dinner but this seems like a really great option for takeout. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. I've been here once before a few years ago. The menu was full of great choices so I pulled my signature move and asked the server to ask the kitchen to make me their best dish. It ended up being a fantastic Pad Thai! I had to look some time before a doctor's appointment, so I came here. They are definitely good for the lunch crowd. It's small... Only maybe 7 tables. It's packed at lunch. I walked in at noon, within 20 minutes there were no more seats. It's also fast. I had my food within 5 minutes. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I was hoping to linger a bit because I still had time to kill, but there's no lingering here. The food itself was excellent. Very flavorful, and a decent price. What's surprising is the inconsistency. I came here a week ago for lunch and had got their lunch special pad thai, which came with a soup, and really loved it. Priced for lunch too, at $8.5, you can't really go wrong. I came in today to pick up a pad thai to-go around noon. The place was packed, as in, there were no free seats. A sign read that tables of 4 may need to be shared for single or double diners. So business is booming. And it's great that we have a good Thai restaurant in Reading. But the noodles were not nearly as good as I remember today. Kind of dry and tasteless. Not terrible. But definitely not as good as I remember from last time. Walking distance from my house, what a great spot. First off, unexpected find their the chicken wings- they are double fried and delicious. My family and I finished our plates that night all getting savory dishes from red curry to basil pad tai! Highly recommended the Tai hot tea too! We will definitely be back for more! read more

Awesome food out of this world Pad Thai and the fried rolls with chicken/vermicelli/vegis to die for. The food was extremely heat hot And definitely fresh the rice noodles were NOT over cooked like many restaurants do. The young lady waitress was so bubbly and happy she greeted everyone with a smile. Don't get fooled by the inside appearance it's tiny and needs updating for sure maybe that's why the food is priced nicely and affordable I can't wait to go back there yes it's worth my 25 minute ride down there to just take it back home . I spoke with a couple who appeared to have frequented this place many times the new the menu and shared their love for this place too saying their duck dishes as well as the Beef are out of this world and the wife said she loves their curry especially the butternut squash curry. This is a small, casual spot, with pretty low prices relative to the area. We had the chicken satay, pad thai, and red curry. The chicken satay was not the greatest, and weirdly wet, but the pad thai and red curry were fine. I've certainly had much worse attempts at asian food in the area. If you want a fantastic meal, this isn't place, but if you want cheap and pretty good, it'll do just fine. I'll probably be back plenty. read more

I was in the area and was looking for a Thai restaurant and this one popped up. I decided to give it a try. I ordered the traditional Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. The soup was pretty good, but a bit sweet. It definitely smells good though. I personally don't like to eat that soup plain so I ordered a small rice bowl for $1. The pad Thai was average. I definitely had better. All in all, this place was ok and I would come back if I was in the area. I see most people get takeout probably because the restaurant space isn't very spacious. read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. I think what sets it apart is the food is extremely fresh and cooked to order. It's owned by a husband & wife who take a month off each year to travel to their native Thailand and remain faithful to the authenticity of their cooking.
