This is my go to when I'm in downtown nail spot. I never ever have more than 10 mins wait in both walk ins or appointments. Diana is a pro and can do just about anything to your nail and knows what's good for your nails. I get a basic Gel so it comes great each time. I love the decor of the salon and how spacious it is (can be a little dirty at times) I had one bad experience with my pedi once when I had a different person to do it once and I didn't feel like it was done right. I don't like the fact that they don't use the plastics bags to change out for each customers nor do like not knowing where the tools is coming from meaning is it coming from a sanitary package or not ‍. 90% of this time I get exactly what I want and if not done correctly I simply ask for a redo and they are more than happy to do so. Since I've been coming here I notice Diana the owner is into doing the right thing to have repeat customs. I will continue to come here for sure read more

I made reservations for 2 pedi's at 5 pm and we were the only clients on a Friday evening. The inside is nice but their nail polish selection is very limited and some bottles just sitting out there dried out. The massage chairs are nice and they present you with wine if you wish. The language barrier is pretty bad and they don't have nail dryers. It's like back to dinos and drying your toes with a manual fan. I would pick another place next time. I usually love coming here but they had a young man working (literally looks like a teenager .. I doubt he was even a licensed tech based on his work ) and he cut me not once but twice while doing a very basic pedicure. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but my seven year old could have done a better foot rub. No apology from him despite him having to wipe blood off my toes 5 times.... I came here with a friend to get a paraffin wax pedicure. Note I did not get gel on my toes. While there I also got a full set 1 color w/ gel. The pedicure was supposed to be less than $30, but somehow when I was paying it ending up being nearly $90! I have been getting my nails done for years and I have never paid near that. I left quickly because I had already been there for almost 2 hrs and had other things to do. I got home and notices my index fingernail was incredibly crooked, like super noticeable. I called the next day, because for that price they should be perfect, and she said to come back and she will fix them. She did fix them, still not up to par to $90 nails but what made me even do this review is what she said to another customer while I was there. The other girl mentioned that the prices were higher than stated (they charged me +$10for gel) and she told her that they are higher because they are on Kennedy in S Tampa and if she wanted cheaper she could go somewhere else. I just found that to be a very rude reply. I under mistakes happen and would never not go somewhere again because my nails were mess up 1 time. True to its name, Royal Palace makes you feel like royalty. The pedicure chairs are fit for a queen and they offer you a drink to go with your mani/pedi, your choice of wine or a soda. It's a very clean spa and their nail techs speak fantastic English. Their prices are reasonable and it's a great place to go if you are with your girlfriends as it has a very social and comfortable atmosphere. I went in to get my shellac removed and picked this place just so I could check it out. It's a simple $5 procedure so I guess that's why I wasn't offered a drink? Anyway, service was quick and I was accommodated immediately. The lady who did my nails, Mai did a great job. Often, with shellac, the tech leaves your nails scratched up. They go out of their way to help you. I went there after my workout, I was starving and Dan gave me some nice biscuits from Vietman. They have drinks available for free, wifi, they play beautiful music. The place looks grandiose inside. A real treat. Honestly, they should have a lot more stars. Try for yourself. I just paid $57 to write about the most terrible pedicure and manicure I've ever received. Currently my nails look like a seven year old painted them. I came in for a manicure, I wanted my gel taken off and just normal polish. I was asked to pick my color then another woman came over and asked why I wasn't getting gel and I said I was just over it. She started to go over prices and added in pedicure and said it would all be together $39. Cool, deal. I go and sit in the pedicure chair and a middle aged man comes over and says nothing and starts to fill the bowl of water. I dip my toe into the bowl and if is boiling hot. He then takes my foot and shoves it in and turns the water freezing cold. He takes off my old polish, rubs some lotion on my legs, is incredibly rough on the bottom of my feet. Hardly cleans up my cuticles, wraps my legs in extremely hot towels that legit burn, and slaps some paint on. There is paint on my skin. During this he mentions that gel manicure would be only $5 more, so I agree - I'm used to the upsale and gel does last longer. He leaves the toe separators in and puts those foam sandals on my feet. He says comes on and walks over to his station. No help moving my bag or getting me out while I have wet toes. We sit down and he paints my nails so haphazardly. Also it's not gel. It's now just normal polish, after I had agreed. I just let him keep going, whatever. The manicure lasts maybe like ten minutes at most. No clipping cuticles or anything. No shaping; no buffing. Just removed old gel with a electric sander, wash my hands and put on normal polish. When it's all over, it looks like garbage and he doesn't help me up at all and starts getting ready for another person. Pictures will explain everything. Do not go here. read more

I have to say I wasn't all that impressed with my pedicure, especially for the price! I upgraded to the noble spa pedicure, which is a standard pedi, plus a honey green tea scrub, and hot stone "massage"... for essentially double the price of a standard pedi. I also got gel which was an additional $5 upgrade. My "massage" lasted about 60 seconds, and the foot bath and stones were practically scalding. Both my friend and I got burned by the stones and I had to wait a few minutes to put my feet in the water because it was so damn hot. Not work the extra $25 at all. Not to mention my gel polish was done quite sloppily, with some areas more sheer than others and little lumps on the edges that weren't cleaned up. I do a neater job on my toes at home. For that, with tip, I ended up paying $66 dollars. Let that sink in for a moment. Basically you're paying for the space and decor, because the pedi itself was not worth that. Had it been a $35 pedicure I'd have no complaints, but for $66? Hell no. 4 stars for the atmosphere, 2 stars for the pedi, 1 star for the price. I will be going elsewhere from here on out! read more

Super friendly people and they offer great service right off the bat. The interior decoration is AMAZING (committed to memory for future design ideas). At first glance the salon is very spacious and nicely decorated. There is a faint scent of incense, which you eventually get used to, but I wasn't a complete fan of it. My friend and I did a walk in around 3:15 on a Sunday, so it wasn't crowded at all and we were sat right away. My friend got a full set, I just wanted the most basic manicure. When we sat down I noticed that 1) there were old drinks left behind from previous customers, 2) no mats or paper towels on the tables where you place your hands, and 3) when I put my hands on the table it felt dusty/I could see some old nail clippings. We should have walked away then. My "nail tech" (definitely don't think he's licensed) was nice enough, and made small talk with me and my friend. That was fine. What wasn't fine was the atrocious job he did. Literally SO BAD. I cannot fathom how he thought it was ok to charge me for the job. And I truly regret not saying anything in the moment - he worked on another woman right after me, and I worry what her nails look like. I didn't want to look directly at my nails during the process because I could already tell from the start he was doing such a bad job. When I did look at them thoroughly (after I had paid and left) my friend and I couldn't believe how badly he had done. Like this should NOT be anything you have to pay for - I'm pretty sure I could have done a better job using my toes in the dark. Oh, did I mention that it's also chipping? The most the tech offered was: "The nail polish must have been sitting on the shelf for years, it was so difficult to apply!" Like that makes me feel any better. Granted, it was very cheap ($15), so part of me is glad that I will be taking this polish off immediately this week. But still, I wish I didn't have to pay anything for it. And I so wish I had said something at the time. I'm from out of town, so thankfully I know I won't ever be going back. read more

This place is great! I've had three bad nail experiences in Tampa and just gave up looking for somewhere. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. Now I'm a regular. The decor in here is lovely and very clean. Always great music playing. The nail techs here are so fast and perfect. I've also seen some of their nail artwork and it's amazing. I'm in and out before I know it and my nails are perfect. I get acrylics and gel colours. I'm a very indecisive person and they take the time to help me which I appreciate so much. I recently got my brows waxed here and they actually came out looking great. She spent the extra minute to talk to me to see exactly what I wanted. I'll start off with the positives: VERY clean Accepted me as walk-in on a Sunday afternoon Complimentary glass of wine Now on to the review: They did not honor my 10% off which is listed on their Yelp page VERY overpriced and a poor mani/pedi. I was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied upon leaving. My gel manicure looked HORRIBLE! She put on 3-4 coats which left it thick, uneven and deformed looking. I politely told her twice that I didn't want it to be thick so please stop applying so many gel coats. I don't know whether I should blame it on the language barrier or what.... but she didn't listen/ pay attention. I got a French manicure on my toes and they looked horrible! I asked her to make the lines thin and instead they took up nearly 1/3 of my toe! I also do not think that their pricing was fair for there were many "hidden charges" that I did not see on the pricing sheet. They charged me an additional $10 for French on my toes and $5 to shape my nail in an almond shape. I left the place with cat claws... not almond nails. I ended up filing them down myself the next day. Overall, not impressed and won't be returning to this spa. read more

If Diana doesn't do your nails then you will not get a quality experience! It's as simple as that. Decided to get the dip in gel powder manicure last week and of course matching pedi. With Diana not there that day I had some other tech doing my nails, some guy (but I'm unsure of his name) started my manicure and wasn't covering the whole nail. I pointed this out and he got really defensive and rude with me and then eventually passed me off to some other man to fix his job. Now the result is that the dip powder gel is all lifting off already and it hasn't even been 2 weeks!! Jump to pedicure and I then get passed off to a lady who put my leather sandals on my feet before starting the polish and uses a chemical that I assumed was nail polish remover on my toes allowing the chemicals to DRIP ON TO MY LEATHER sandals! Are you trying to ruin them?!?! Then when I stopped her and reminded her I was doing gel I got passed off yet again to the 4th tech to help me that day. I played musical chairs that day to 4 different people. Why isn't the staff educated enough to avoid this? After 2 hours the only good part is that gel stays on my toes forever. read more

I wasn't able to get the name of the woman who did my fill-in, but I'm so glad she did it! I will never go to another salon again! This place started out 5 star and I'm sad to say I'll never go back! Went in today and paid $100 to get a horrible gel fill and so/so pedi! At the end the manicurist cut me several times to the point my cuticles bled, then had the audacity to blame it on me that I moved! Yes I moved... The guy was giving me a pedicure and rubbing my feet all while the back massager was on! I love that SHE cut me then blamed it on me... Do yourself (and your cuticle) the favor and pass on this one ! Unfortunately I actually thought this would be a hidden gem.. So the owner called me personally and asked that I come in and she would do my nails herself. I accepted and the place was just as I had remembered and the woman who had previously done my service was fired. The owner did my service and my nails are pristine!! (She has always done an amazing job) the pedicure was phenomenal and she also did my brows!! At the end The owner refused to let me pay for a thing! This establishment knows and understands the importance of customer service and quality service!! She went out of her way to contact me and fix the problem! I am looking for a new salon because the girl I went to before moved away. I picked this salon because of the reviews. I got a dip manicure. I like dip because it lasts, it's reasonably priced, and I don't have to be exposed to the UV lights. I'm giving this salon a 2 star because the products they use are very poor quality. As I mentioned, I got a dip manicure. It was pretty pricy (about 25% more than I usually spend) AND it began to peel the very next day. I went out of town on business the next day and had to find a place to get it fixed. To their credit, I called to let the owner know what happened and she did offer to put another coat on if I came back... but since I was out of town for the week I couldn't wait. I had the best pedicure ever here today. I'm came in around 515 and they started my pedicure immediately. First thing they took my gel off within like 2 minutes with the drill and the lady did it so fast and it didn't hurt at all. The. A gentleman sat down for the shaping and massage. Omg best massage ever. They put 2 scrubs and a mask on your legs (mind you this is the regular spa pedicure) and hot towels. It was so great. Plus I got wine. I finally got a great massage and wine!!! Ambiance wise this spa is the cutest spa I've ever seen. It's decorated so nicely there's no cheesy clouds on the ceiling it's just very elegantly decorated. Finally, a nail salon that does a great manicure AND pedicure! Shellac manicure looks great and pedicure was amazing (upgraded 1 level for the hot stones and honey/tangerine scrub). My feet and legs feel buttery soft. Callous removal was thorough, and that tends to be my biggest disappointment at other salons (don't want to leave my pedicure still feeling like I need a pedicure!). If they were going to run A half hour late, I expected the best gel manicure. And it was great - for two days. One week later, and three of my nails are chipping. I read good reviews about this place and they weren't wrong. This used to be my go to place. It was always empty, I could walk in no problem and I'd get my hands and feet done at the same time. Perfect. But the last two times I have gone my gel manicure (which is suppose to last 2-3 weeks) has peeled or lifted right away. This is so frustrating. I spend a pretty penny to get them done and for them to last. When I mentioned this to the owner (she was doing my manicure) she brushed me off saying that I have oily nail beds and that's why it doesn't last on me and that she never lets a client leave with bubbled polish.
