If your pet is having any actual medical issues that need to be treated, I would highly recommend you find another vet. The best thing they did for my older dog was refer him to Bluegrass Veterinary Specialists when he had severe medical issues (which they were able to resolve). Unfortunately, my younger dog was continuously neglected by these vets despite me electing for all of the diagnostics, recommended medicines, and bringing him in for regular rechecks to aid in finding a diagnosis. He went misdiagnosed and untreated with an autoimmune disease for 3 months before I had to explicitly ask them to try literally anything else as he continued to be in severe pain and daily vomiting. I then brought him in twice a month for 2 months after he was properly diagnosed to monitor his status, during which they continued to focus solely on the wounds and continue to ignore the fact that he was vomiting daily. In the last two weeks of his life, I brought him in to this clinic to see both Dr. Korten and Dr. Arnold 3 times. He had bloodwork and an ultrasound yet still died the day after being seen due to severely inflamed lungs that had filled with fluid due to their failure to address warning signs in his symptoms, bloodwork, nor do a thorough examination in the ultrasound. I hope this review spares at least one pet the awful final few days that my poor Odie endured and the heartbreak that I am experiencing.

She's not only knowledgeable but extremely patient with my dog and myself as well. She truly has a way with animals and just entirely speaks their language. At no point in time did I feel hopeless for my stubborn basset after Kelly came into our life. Bassets are known to be difficult to train but Kelly's technique was just unremarkable. Kelly also send a personalized recap of how our sessions go together specifically on what we worked on that day. Makes it extremely convenient because it's a lot to absorb.

I used to live in Garrard County and would pass AHON on trips to/from Lexington. Between recognizing the name from my drives and a good friend's recommendation - I decided to take our 'kids' there. We started seeing Dr. Fox with my (2) transplanted cats who each lived to around 19 years old. We had to euthanize them (within a year apart) and I still feel - to this day - Dr. Fox's compassion. We then were adopted by a community cat who - once we moved him inside - discovered was FIV positive. Through AHON, I learned about caring for a FIV kitty and ended up adopting another FIV positive kitten through them. In 2011- we decided we were ready for a puppy and adopted a German Shepherd through the No Kill shelter in Lancaster. Just this past December we had to let my boy go and my heart still aches just writing about him (you will my beautiful boy on AHON's recently departed board). Again - the support for the hardest decision a pet owner has to make - from Dr. Fox and the entire AHON team - was unforgetable. They have a room specifically dedicated to saying goodbye and help you both before and after with the painful process. On the less emotional side of this review - I've always been able to easily schedule appointments and once there - have never felt rushed. The staff takes the time to educate me and enable me to best care for my 4-legged kids. We moved to Lexington 7 years ago and I still take them to AHON because I can't think of anywhere else I'd trust more with their lives. Thank you, Dr. Fox and AHON, for all you do.

When I picked up my two dogs, my bill for 2 days for 2 dogs + boosters was $1,500. That's right, $1,500. Shame on everyone who works at this place and takes advantage of desperate people. Owners and management, if you're reading this, you have an immature young lady managing your front office who treat your customers like a high school nemesis. She has one or more cohorts who back up her sadistic behavior. I know you have good people working there, so I strongly urge you to address that issue.
