Today's Mother's Day Buffet was over the top. The food was nothing less than awesome. I had the opportunity to have the smoked brisket which was just as good as any that I tasted before including the fine smoke houses in Texas. They had a wonderful spread with lots of variety. I also indulged myself with the shrimp and grits. It was cooked to perfection. The service by the hostesses and the servers was exceptional. Kudos to the staff and management team who put this all together. Looking forward to next brunch. read more

Food was very good and my steak cooked perfectly. However, for $175, the plate was stark and service was very bad. $55 for the filet plus $5 for a ramekin of blue cheese. Waited to even be greeted by a server at the beginning and sat waiting for the check. Go for the food, pricy as it is, but be prepared for debatable service. read more

Wow wow wow. We have eaten at steakhouses literally around the world. This place is world class. The decor is beautiful, like a cruise ship. And the ambient music is amazing. The temperature of the rooms are PERFECT. No detail has been missed here. We shared a wedge salad (omg) and a shrimp cocktail for starters. For mains, I had the 8oz filet mignon (cooked PERFECTLY), and my husband had the pork chop, I had the caramelized onion topping for my steak and he had the Demi glaze sauce for his pork chop. We also shared a baked potato and a mushroom side. We also shared a crème brûlée for dessert. All of our dishes were amazing, as was our server, Michelle. Absolutely perfect meal: the welcome to the restaurant, our seating, the service, the food, the dessert. We will be back FOREVER. Thank you for such a great meal. read more

Food was so salty and had to pay extra if I wanted to add anything even sides. Just one hunk of over salted meat. Then double charged me and says it will drop off but it did on my end then another charge came on for a different price. So original bill and a extra one. read more

Not impressed. We went last night for the prime rib special. Prime rib is my #1 favorite food and based on the reviews I was very much looking forward to my meal. The restaurant is very nice and service was impeccable. The issue was with the food. If I'm spending nearly $300 (with tip) to dine with my fiancé and child, I expect to leave feeling like I got my moneys worth and that was not the case at all. My daughter ordered the filet and fiancé had the ribeye. They shared a family style order of the mac and cheese. They both enjoyed their steaks but the mac and cheese was very bland. I ordered the prime rib special which came with a house salad (pretty good) and broccoli and mashed potatoes. I asked for onions and mushrooms for my prime rib and it was a $13 upcharge (!!!!!). I ordered the prime rib medium. What arrived was a very thin piece of meat that was an unappealing gray all the way through. I didn't say anything because I was starving. Nothing on my plate had seasoning. All very bland and lackluster. We enjoy fine dining and do so quite often but this place fell short all the way around. If they are going to charge fine dining prices, I expect fine dining food. I've had better prime rib at Texas Roadhouse (with onions and mushrooms) for like $20 lol We won't be back. read more

So very delicious! I LOVE the chicken. I know riiiight? Go to a steakhouse for chicken? Yes!!!!!! It has a herb sauce that is so yummy! The Prime Rib meal on Wednesday and Thursday nights is wonderful! A beautiful salad, Prime Rib, mashed Potatoes, Asparagus and a dessert all for $39!!! You can't beat that! My husband and I visited this restaurant on the opening day and we've been coming every since! We met Austin who is now the GM. Great guy, who knows how to treat customers. Sincere, Tory and Jay are the best bartenders! Drinks are always great. The food is hot and delicious. We've had the ribs, shrimp, filet and lobster and it's always delicious. The creamed spinach is the best! This restaurant is a favorite and a must visit if you are in Dover. Ask for Austin and tell him I sent you! read more

As a tradition, for my birthday my wife and I like to dine at a nice steakhouse for dinner. Most of the time this involves traveling to the Philadelphia or the DMV area. Some friends gave me some gift cards for a present and I decided to try Royal Prime rather than travel out of state for dinner. We were not disappointed. Our server, I believe her name was Sandra, was great and the service we received was on par, if not better, with any of the out-of-state steakhouses we've frequented. For appetizers we had the Maryland Crab Cake and the Rum Glazed Thick-Cut Bacon. I would recommend the Bacon but would recommend passing on the crab cake. The roasted corn salsa served with the crab cake is delicious, however the crab cake itself is just ok and for the price of a single crake cake it should at least be made with Maryland lump crab meat. This crab cake, at best, may be backfin meat and possibly not from DE, MD or VA. For the entrees I had the ribeye with bearnaise sauce, and my wife had salmon. She enjoyed her salmon, and my steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare. It was nice to not have to travel a considerable distance for a great steak. For sides we shared the parmesan creamed spinach, Fried Green Tomatoes and shoestring French fries all of which were easily sharable among two people. The sides were comparable to anything we have gotten from Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille and Steak48. We ended the evening with their crème brulee for dessert which did not disappoint (believe me when I say that we've had crème from steakhouses that were horrible). We will definitely be coming back. A word of caution THEY DO NOT ACCEPT GIFT CARDS! This has something to do with their payment system being part of Bally's casino which does not accept gift cards. read more

Was there for my wife's birthday dinner. Had a reservation and was seated on time. All employees were friendly. Appetizer was thick cut bacon and was delicious. I ordered a surf and turf with the steak rare. It came out cooked perfectly but lobster was cold when delivered. Wife ordered a medium 12 ounce filet that came out rare. Mistakes happen...no big deal. Don't like to do it but sent it back as it was inedible for her. As waitress was taking it back to the kitchen she went by a manager and let him know. Thought we would at least have a visit by the manager to ask us how our dinner was going or to offer us a free drink or dessert or something...or to at least apologize. I finished my dinner as she waited for hers to be brought back out. After brought back out it was medium rare at best. Didn't ask for it to be sent back again as we had finished the sides and drinks we had ordered. The food here is quality...they just need to cook a steak correctly. We spent $240 for a meal with the tip...expect it to be perfect at this price point. read more

This restaurant did not meet our expectations this past weekend (4/16/2022). Being from out of state and staying at the casino, we were excited to make dinner reservation for 4 of us to celebrate my husband's birthday here. The Pros: Conveniently located in the casino. Comfortable chairs. Nice server. All 4 prime ribs ($60 each) were cooked as ordered. The steaks were on the small side and tasted OK, just very slightly above average. The Cons: Entrees do not come with sides, which is sometimes the case in fine restaurants so we were fine with that. However, the sides arrived and sat on our table as we waited...and waited for the steaks to arrive. Just as we were becoming concerned that the sides were gettig cold, the manager informed us that there was a mishap in the kitchen and new steaks were being prepared for us. We were quite gracious as we understand accidents happen. I only expressed concern that our sides were now cold, so the sides were taken back to the kitchen. We waited, and by now the 2 small dinner rolls and 2 halves of a slice of bread were long gone. When our steaks and sides finally arrived, we were hungry and did not immediately notice that we had been served the exact same previous sides instead of fresh ones. The butter had already completely melted off the halved potatoes, and I ended up with someone else's former potato. We recognized it as the one my husband's cousin had already cut into previously. My steak was lukewarm at first bite, It was cold before I could even eat half of it. It was at this point that we realized the steaks must have been placed on cold plates. The parmesan creamed spinach ($16) was below average, and the loaded baked potatoes ($8 each) were large but "loaded" meant only butter (that had already melted off) and sour cream on the side. For those who may appreciate a more objective measure of our experience at this restaurant: All 4 of us were hungry. 2 of us finished the smallish steaks, sides were half eaten. When the check arrived, my husband noticed that it was someone else's much smaller order total. We are honest and informed our server. The 4 of us agreed that 1 or 2 mishaps are not a big deal, but a series of negatives softened only by the manager's effusive apologiy is not what we expect from a high priced restaurant. We happily pay extra for great food and customer experience, but this restaurant was mediocre. We invested alot of time and money for an unfulfilling meal and a disappointing experience for what should have been a special celebration. read more

This is a wanna be Ruth Chris and it's not even close. Let start with the service. We were sat in a timely fashion. That's about the best part of this. After a good 10 min our waitress came to take our drink order. A couple iced teas for the guys a cosmo and vodka and Perrie for the ladies. No Perrie San Pellegrino. OK not a problem. Came back quickly with our tea then gone for another 10 min+. She came back with the drinks and a opened liter bottle of the San Pellegrino. I guess it was our stunned look when she explained that's the way we have to serve it. HUH? ok let that go. We all had a good laugh. Another good 10 min and we finally get our order in. Off she goes and comes back to the table with a bread basket and butter. HMMM 4 patrons 3 rolls?? Ok another good chuckle. We all order soup as an appetiser. This was THEE only highlight of the night. Both the clam chowder and french onion were delicious. The ladies ordered a few appetizers, chips and onion dip, sliders and rum glazed thick bacon and the guys ordered ribeyes with aged blue cheese. A side of mixed wild mushrooms, stuffed baked potato and mac and cheese. Nothing on the table has much flavor other then the bacon. The chip and onion dip were hardly touched as the dip was tasteless and bland. They said the sliders were ok. Our steaks ordered medium and medium rare came on a bare plate with a souffle cup of cold blue cheese. Really. They were both a little over done and for $67 each you would expect it to melt in your mouth. Not the case. I've had better steaks from the supermarket. I would think if you put the blue cheese on and under a broiler for a minute it would serve much better. The mushrooms were as well flavorless. Not a bit of even salt or pepper. The mac and cheese at least tasted like cheese but not much more. pretty bland. Oh we appetizers get another round of drinks that again took quite awhile and when they were ordered she was handed back her liter bottle of San Pellegrino. Here you might need this. She didn't bring it back. Said they needed to keep it behind the bar. That makes sense. Our waitress had absolutely no interaction with us other then taking our orders and the fair was just ok. Our total bill without a tip was $344.00. We could have gone to LongHorn Steakhouse down the street and spent 1/3 of this and had a better meal. With this kind of service, food and prices, I am sure when their lease is up they will be gone. read more

We went on a Wednesday night and they were not that busy. Started off with ordering manhattans (drink) with Crown Royal and half dozen oysters. The oysters arrived but not the drinks. We waited and waited. The waiter came over to ask how the oyster were, and seeing that we had not started them we replied that we were waiting for our drinks. He hurried to get them. After receiving the drinks and toasting our night out, we took a sip of the drink and they tasted funny. (I know my manhattans). The waiter attributed the taste to the cherry type and orange bitters. It turned out when we got the bill that the whiskey used was apple Crown Royal, not the plain whiskey. The oysters were great. We had the prime rib special. It was adequate. Mashed potatoes were dense but tasty. Prime rib was cooked to order (medium rare). Dessert was stale as the brownie almost needed a chain saw to cut. All-in-all not worth $200+ for the meal. read more
