    Clam chowder
    Analiea M.

This is one of my go to items I get every time I come to Disneyland! It's always delicious, I just wish the portion size was bigger! The bowl it self isn't readily edible beside the inner parts because it is really hard to chew. Other than that, this is so flavorful and a must try.

Great place for snacks and refreshments. Had the clam chowder in a bowl. It was okay. The bread was a little stale and hard. Probably sat out too long on the counter waiting to be filled. I usually can eat the entire sourdough bowl, but, it was too stale. Seats and tables are available on the outside patio or in the adjacent dining room. Mobile ordering is the best way to save time.

Love the clam chowder bread bowl!! The clam chowder comes out pipping hot in the freshly baked bread bowl, and it's the perfect meal on colder nights!

I really wanted to try their coffee fritters which was offered on the holidays menu. I placed a mobile order and picked up at my designated time. Located in New Orleans Square. I felt the fritters needed a bit more sugar. A bit bitter from the strong coffee. It was on the denser side. Overall, it was good. For coffee lovers and someone that doesn't like desserts too sweet, this will be for you.

An awesome foodie day at Disneyland started with broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl, a roasted veggie burrata salad with balsamic dressing, and the Impossible slider. We skipped breakfast and were starving by 10am, so this ended up being a very early lunch. The line was not super long but not short either, and ordering, paying, and picking up our food was quick and easy.. Everything we tried was flavorful and well seasoned. The broccoli cheddar soup bread bowl was definitely our favorite, but the salad and sliders were solid too. The sliders were heavily seasoned and almost had an Indian curry vibe, which was actually pretty tasty. Overall, I would recommend eating here, though I do think the roasted vegetable salad and slider were seasonal menu items.

Another nice spot to mobile order and there's a small amount of tables and chairs available for seating, and shade, which is much appreciated on a hot day. My daughter was excited about the broccoli cheddar soup in a sourdough bread bowl, however the bread wasn't fresh and was kinda stale. She still enjoyed the soup. I opted for the monte cristo sandwich. It was good, but very dense. We were treated to a guest appearance by Captain Jack Sparrow while we were dining and he was kind enough to stop and talk with us prior to signing autographs and taking photos with others. We caught up to him later in the day and got our own photo with him too!

The Royal Street Veranda is a charming quick service spot in Disneyland's New Orleans Square, just beside the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance. After getting the Boysen Apple Freeze from Maurice's Treats in Disneyland, I wanted to stop by Royal Street Veranda to get the Monte Cristo Sandwich! This restaurant is designed to look like New Orleans style décor such as iron accents, gas lamps, and a balcony overlooking the Rivers of America! This location offered minimal seating just a few tables tucked beneath the balcony. We ended up bringing our meal over near Tiana's Palace to eat! The menu for Halloween's Seasonal offerings include the Coffee Fritters and some unique tumblers! You can also get soup (Clam Chowder and Broccoli Cheddar) as well as a roasted vegetable salad and a plant based meatball slider! Beverages are limited to soda, juices, milk, and a seasonal pumpkin crème brulee cold brew. I enjoyed the Monte Cristo Sandwich. It was filled with Ham, Turkey and Swiss Cheese. There was some powdered sugar and a side of Jam served with it. The jam reminded me of a strawberry jelly. I actually preferred the Monte Cristo Sandwich without the jam. It was perfectly fried and it was super scrumptious! The Boysen Apple Freeze drink was yummy with the Sandwich! The service was quick here on a Friday mid afternoon at the restaurant. It wasn't too busy. It was easy to walk up, order, and pick up the meal!

What happened to my Monte Cristo sandwich? It was previously cut in half, dusted and so delicious. This time we got one dusted wedge that we cut ourselves and it didn't taste as good. Hopefully, it was just a fluke. I will have to come back and try again. The fritter flavors here are seasonal. We have had pretty good luck with all the flavors. This was our first time having the roasted vegetable salad. It has a topping of burrato cheese. It wasn't for us. But I think people who like roasted vegetables would like it with the burrato.

This review is specifically for the Buffalo chicken slider. It's actually pretty darn good! Really good Buffalo flavor and the beignets are sweet, fluffy, and tasty as well! The only criticism I have is the texture of the breading is a little funny. It's not crispy like at other hot chicken sandwich places. It feels like it was pre breaded and froze kind of. For $11.49 it's a pretty good size and I think definitely worth it!

    1. The coffee was well-crafted and nicely arranged! The drink was delicious! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The exterior is very small! 3. There are outside seatings available with shade! Few tables available! 4. The staff was finally and timely with our order! They were quick with the mobile order! 5. This spot does not have their own restrooms ! There are restrooms nearby! Note: You will directly ask for straws from the staff! Photo: Pumpkin Creme Brulee Cold Brew

I've never tried the famous Monte Cristo sandwich until now... and WOW! It's much better than I thought it would be. The bread is soft, warm, and delicious. The cheese and ham pair well with everything, and then there's the sweetness of the powdered sugar and jelly dip. It's Disneyland so obviously it's overpriced, but the sandwich itself is decent sized for an adult who needs a large snack or small meal. If you're on the fence, try it! It's pretty damn good

If you're craving something fried the Royal Street Veranda is the place for you. I had the pleasure of trying out the Coffee Fritters which were absolutely amazing! Not a whole lot of seating choices in this area but good for a snack on the go.

The Baseline: For theme park to-go food stands the food must be tasty, have an experience, reliable service, and be a part of the experience. Food: I love Royal Street in the morning, evening, and even at supper time! I have been here for morning monte cristos and seasonal cold brews and for quick fritter bites in the evening, because this stand has a revolving rotating menu keeping it fresh in offerings. This trip gave me a Buffalo Chicken Beignets Slider opportunity which was awesome. Spicy chicken with slaw between two pillowy beignets... yes... this. Though this is supposed to be available until the end of June 2025, they always have a Monte Cristo-esque type of offering and I suggest you give that a try. Service: Disney cast member service is always at a 5-star in the parks and today was no different. Got my mobile order quick-n-easy. Also Magic Key discount applies here. Ambience: Though the Nightmare Before Christmas store will be missed the Jazz club dining area makes up for it in the awesome place I get to eat now. The decor is kid friendly and appropriate to the theme of the area. I can always shop for Nightmare Before Christmas gear at the Haunted Mansion prefab-barn gift shop anyway.

I've had a chance to dine here a few times, and it's always been satisfying. The Cajun/Creole food offerings remind me of New Orleans. I've enjoyed the House Gumbo, which has a bold flavor and chunky ingredients. Enough to fill you up, yet it won't put you in a coma. Recently, I got the Cajun Half Chicken plate, and it was delicious. The chicken was juicy with flavorful skin. I had the BBQ sauce on the side, and it was also good. The plate included coleslaw, mac and cheese, and pickles. The mac and cheese was just okay. It tasted a little greasy, and the cheese lost its creaminess quickly. I would get this entrée again just for the chicken. Don't forget the beignets while you're here, too! Throughout the day, live music is showcased on the nearby stage for all guests to enjoy. It really sets a pleasant atmosphere while enjoying a meal. The seating area is nicely shaded by a large awning and umbrellas at many tables. This is a quick-service, cafeteria-style establishment. He was one of the best waiters we've ever had. For our appetizers, we had the garlic bread, calamari, and gumbo. The Crispy Calamari was hands down the best appetizer. The bread was great, but didn't wow us or anything. The gumbo was good while warmed, but we kept wishing for a kick of spice. When cooled, the gumbo had a charred taste we didn't enjoy so much. No notes on the entrees! I was too full to enjoy my Macaroni and Cheese but my partner loved both of our dishes. Lastly this was the second time I had the Beignet Flight. The glazed and churro were always the best, but the strawberry was still disappointing. We would've preferred if the strawberry beignet wasn't artificial and had real strawberries and/or jam! I was expecting the usual garlic noodles I get from Asian restaurants, but this had such a unique flavor. Garlicky and cheesy, with some cajun flavors. Was it spicy? Not at all. Husband had their Hawaiian Shrimp Plate. It was supposed to come with pineapples, he didn't get any, and he was fine without them. His mac salad and rice were good. The shrimp unfortunately still had the shells on, which he wasn't expecting, and he wasn't happy about. He hates having to peel shrimp, so he was pretty turned off by this meal. He said he wished it was on the description on the menu, or that the waiter had told him. I tried the shrimp and thought it was good. He said he would never order this dish again. I would definitely get the noodles again, maybe a pound of their peeled/deveined shrimp, and their po'boys sound good too! There are so many great places near our office to get lunch, so I don't know that we'll be rushing back here, but I wouldn't mind eating here again.
