Hot Dog of the Month for Sept 2025 - The Cheeseburger Dog $17
    Phil C.

GCH Craftsman Grill offers a quick and convenient spot to grab baked goods, snacks, drinks, hot meals, and more. From take-out to dine-in, they're open from morning through late night. Entrance for most visitors (without a hotel reservation) is from Downtown Disney and through the Grand California Hotel lobby. I love coming here to try out seasonal items or enjoy some of the regular menu items. There are plenty of drink options, including alcoholic beverages. A few of my current menu favorites are the breakfast burrito, American breakfast, Angus burger, pizzas, and Hot Dog of the Month. The HOTM for Sept 2025 is the Cheeseburger Dog with fries. The combination of the cheeseburger and hot dog worked surprisingly well. The fries were coated, hot, and crispy. Overall, the meal was hearty and filling. Grab a few extra napkins, since it is a little messy. The dining areas are generally clean and pleasant, featuring both Indoor (with AC) and patio tables just outside. You may occasionally encounter loud children and families, as it's located in a Disney hotel. The service has been friendly, and the food is prepared promptly and brought to your table. The staff also helps clear the used plates.

Another great trip(s) for another visit to GCH CG. Always quality food and drink presented well and with a smile! The atmosphere is so released yet casually dressed up!

Very convenient and great food! Hot breakfast opens at 6:45 and we had our order very quickly. The avocado toast was so good! On a very thick slice of sourdough and had a very delicious ricotta on top. The honey and garlic was a great touch too! I liked that they had an espresso machine so I could get a cappuccino too. Great, quick, convenient! All of the workers were very helpful and nice as well.

We were deciding on the multiple dining options at Disney on our latest visit. Since we were trying to avoid going to the same spots we always do, we ended up at GCH Craftsman Grill as there were plenty of same-day reservations. Very easy to get there from Disney California Adventure! We even got seated 25 minutes early since it wasn't too busy. First things first, I must have confused this spot with the other restaurants at the Grand Californian because it was entirely outdoors next to the pool. I didn't mind though actually because it was a nice day outside! I appreciated the nice, chill vibes. Pretty decent menu with a lot of options. I opted for the Carne Asada Quesadilla and my girlfriend chose the Poke Bowl. Solid quesadilla, had plenty of meat and cheese and was sufficiently filling without being too stuffed. I had some of the Poke Bowl and it was pretty good. Service was fine, no complaints here. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at GCH Craftsman Grill. Worth a return visit.

We came to the restaurant to be more relaxed after walking around Disneyland theme park for 6 hours. Very calm and soft music playing, food is very typical pool food but elevated. Chicken wings and pizza were a lot better than expected, Poke bowl and salmon is average. Service was fast and efficient and was great. Prices are pretty expensive but you are in a fancy Disney hotel

We ate several pieces simply because we were hungry, but were very dissatisfied with the quality of this pizza compared to previous visits.

4/24/26 This has been our usual spot for diner when in the parks. We break away for a margarita pizza or nachos. Previously all of our meals had been high quality and satisfying portion sizes. Today we ordered our usual Nachos with everything on it, and margarita pizza. We noticed the nachos looked different than they used to 4 months ago. No pico, meat portions reduced. Lots of chips but toppings scarce. Flavors seemed a little off as well. As for the pizza, it looked different, tasted different and the texture was off. It was soggy and dough had no flavor. We were disappointed for the first time here at GCH craftsman grill. Will think twice before deciding to eat here again.

Excellent breakfast. Dining poolside was so fun and this food was elevated. The drinks were good and the granddaughter approved the s'mores waffle of the month. Loved the frittata drizzled with hollandaise sauce and the refreshing salad that accompanied it. Service was great!

This grill is located inside the Grand Californian Hotel, right next to the pool and easy-access entry for the CA Adventure Park. It is very close and convenient for those staying at the hotel! Especially if you have little ones that need something quick and simple (the typical pizza, tenders, grilled cheese, etc.). My husband and I were starving after a park visit and wanted to get something quick but didn't want to go to DT Disney. We visited the Craftsman Grill, sharing a burger and some "sticky wings." The burger was good, your typical burger, but pretty messy and the bottom bun was barely holding on. The wings were accurately described, sticky with an Asian flavored glaze. In the end, the food is perfectly described and it hit the spot. It was what we needed for a good price, and very conveniently located near us. Go here for quick, convenient, and good, but would only recommend if you were staying here at this hotel.

This is a hidden gem! On a hot day this a real treat with the cool air as well. But upon arrival you think you are lost but you aren't... it's a grab and go but with super nice seating. There is also alcohol as well for parents who need the extra boost haha. The array of offerings start with desserts then grab and go options of sandwiches and salads then a coke fountain machine with the pick what you want option. Then there is a cooler with the Alcohol. Once we found some great priced drinks. Then you come to the counter where you can order the hotdog of the month. November was chicken mole on a hotdog... unconventional but some found it delicious. The menu ranges from quesadillas to ceviche to wings to pizza and let's not forget the AMAZING NACHOS! They are a huge portion and can easily feed 3 maybe 4 people. You have your choice of meet and it's really good. I ordered a pizza, a royal cookie, and it was delicious. I shared my pizza and our friends got the nachos and wings there were 4 of us and we didn't even finish it. I highly recommend it next time you make it to DOWNTOWN DISNEY or DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE

Carnitas Quesadilla filled with corn and mayonnaise. No meat. No cheese but plenty of salsa to drown the mistake.

GCH Craftsman Grill is typically a go to standard when at the Disney Resorts. Located in the Grand Californian Hotel, it's a nice quiet getaway from the bustling grounds at either DowntownDisney or California Adventure park with relatively reasonable prices and consistently good food. The traditional hotdog of the month for November had chicken mole with red pickled onions. It was okay but did not have the complex flavor one would expect even from a jarred mole from the store. Clam chowder was flavorless nor did it have a hint of clams or clam juice. The Carnitas Quesadilla looked impressive but there was barely had minuscule threads of meat or cheese. A bit disappointing to have carnitas and queso missing from a Carnitas Quesadilla. The tortilla was filled with corn relish and mayonnaise. I've had much better experiences before but this must have been a bad evening. It was a bit cold and I got a hot cocoa that tasted and looked like dirty water. It would seem like a bad attempt to cut corners and save money. I hope it was just a fluke

This is one of my favorite places to grab a meal at the Disneyland Resort. It's very underrated in my opinion. I love the outdoor dining overlooking the pool at the Grand Californian and they have live music on certain nights. We have always had good service and good food there. They have slimmed down their menu and some of my absolute favorite dishes have left but I still always get something good there. Magic Key and DVC discount are also accepted!

Nice getaway from the crowds. This quick service location is convenient and had no line at all when I arrived around 1pm. Variety of menu options, plenty of seating both inside and out. There's a Coke freestyle machine, condiments, napkins, utensils all laid out neatly for you to grab what you need. I ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Portions were generous. It came with ketchup and some sort of mayonnaise sauce for the fish. They had packets of malt vinegar which I preferred with my fish. My friend ordered the poke bowl with salmon and enjoyed it too.

Magic key discount and empty when we dined. Very nice in the summer months to eat somewhere with really cold AC and good food. Will come back again

I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) a salt shaker with 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

We…read morefirst returned in early June since they introduced some new cocktails and food to the menu. The other visits were just because this is by far our number one place. Recently added cocktails: Buzzin' Jungle Bird (Jamaican gold rum, coffee infused campari, dark rum, pineapple, lime, hemp orgeat, cane, Angostura bitters). This is a great spin on a jungle bird, with some complexity and coffee flavor. I'm usually not a big fan of coffee, but it is at a good level. Chi Chi (Whey vodka, pineapple, lime, date, honey, coconut, salt). This has a great creamy texture which I believe comes from the dairy component of the whey vodka. It is well balanced with some sweetness, and I could taste the coconut and date flavors. Lapu Lapu (Asian rum, Jamaican rum, dry curacao, lime, orgeat, demerara). It is juicy, well balanced, and served with a flaming sugar cube on top. This is the cocktail they chose to serve at their booth at Tiki Oasis recently which says a lot, try it! Thai Me Down (Barbados rum, coconut liqueur, papaya, lemon, demerara, Thai basil). It is served old-fashioned style, and was light and perfectly balanced. Those Thai inspired flavors were all noticeable. Demerara Dry Float. They added and took this one off the menu as of now. It was a balanced light citrusy drink which was served with a delicious sidecar of Hamilton 151 rum infused with banana chips. I sipped half of that and mixed the rest into the cocktail. It was served with a beautiful ice shell. I'm guessing it was too labor intensive, and took up a lot of space in their freezers. Recently added food: Ahi Poke Nachos (marinated ahi tuna, masago, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, furikake, green onion). This is such a tasty starter with so many textures and flavors. I love that the nachos are wontons too, and not just chips. Crab & Cream cheese wontons. Nice crisp wontons with a good amount of crab and cream cheese inside. The chili sauce and spicy mayo adds another layer of flavor, and there is a slice of jalapeno on top for a little heat. Pan-Seared Scallops. This was an excellent lighter entrée. The four scallops are cooked perfectly, and even have a little dollop of caviar on top. I liked the mix of veggies and really liked the bed of potato puree underneath. Steak & Eggs (8oz hanger steak, crying tiger glaze, Nam Jim Jaew sauce, sunny eggs, rice). I normally wouldn't try steak & eggs for dinner, but I can't resist a good hanger steak. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and I appreciate that it was pre-sliced. The crying tiger glaze and sauce were so flavorful. There's plenty of rice to soak up any left egg yolk or sauce. Recently added desserts: Dubai Chocolate Lava Cake. This was excellent, but it's definitely sweet and rich. Save some room if you plan on ordering this. Ube Flan Cake. I'm usually not a fan of flan, but I have to try anything with ube and this was good. The cake had nice ube flavor, and I liked that the flan was a little firm since the looser custardy/gelatinous texture is not for me. This is definitely a lighter dessert than the lava cake. It's not a new drink, but I also had the Naval Grog for the first time. (Lost Voyage rum, overproof white rum, allspice dram, lime, grapefruit, demerara, honey). It is boozy with nice spice notes. Other repeat cocktails enjoyed were Tales from the Black Lagoon (my favorite), Missionary's Downfall, Agave Parrot, Singapore Sling, and Serpents Grasp all of which are excellent. Their cocktails, food, ambiance, and service are always top notch. Thank you Ying, Erica, Greg, Jordan, Joey, Iris, Karen, Kyle, Joy, and John for your wonderful hospitality during our visits. We will return again soon!

I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

We love Puesto and always enjoy our food, but last night was one for the record books. Not just…read morebecause the food was delicious, as usual, but because we had the incredible fortune of having Scotty as our server. Scotty took what was already a great date night and made it truly memorable. Not only was he the best server we've had since we started dining at Puesto, but I'd go so far as to say he was one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. Scotty had a calm, understated demeanor that was part of his charm. He was genuine, attentive, extraordinarily kind, and somehow managed to keep my Diet Coke with lime full the entire evening. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and was always there at just the right moment. Best of all, he laughed at my dad jokes. While the food was outstanding, Scotty made the experience even better. His service elevated an already great meal into an exceptional evening. We will absolutely be requesting Scotty's section every time we visit Puesto Anaheim.

Food was so good! We basically tried everything. We had the salsa and guacamole flight. Loved their…read morechips too! We had the chicken taquitos, potato flautas, short rib enchilada, steak taco, fried fish taco, carnitas and the chicken tacos! The only thing that took away a star because we had to stand and wait for 15 minutes to be sat. We had a reservation that I made five days ago. They say other parties before us and we had to still stand and wait even with a reservation The restaurant itself is so beautiful! Great spot for dinner with the family!

It was 5 o'clock somewhere lol…read more This bar has prime real estate inside the great, Anaheim packing district. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)

Great spot on the 2nd level of the Anaheim Packing District. Friendly bartenders, but they have…read moreseating around all sides, so they might take a little while to get you your drink. They were playing some great 90s tunes and watching them make drinks, talk a little shit, and have fun was great to watch! I only had a single beer (local lager that the bartender recommended) as I was waiting for a reservation at another spot, but I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.
