We came for our anniversary and The Ranch did not disappoint. Our waiter was very attentive and helped us make good food choices. I got the New York strip with truffle and the fiancé got the halibut. He also got the snow crab claws. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the truffle with the steak despite it being $40 extra. It's a game changer. We also got a trio of sorbet (coconut, strawberry, and mango). The restaurant also gave us a vanilla creme brûlée to celebrate our anniversary! The ambiance is very private, dark, moody and romantic. Highly recommend for date nights! Will be coming back

The service at this place is good. What you'd expect from a place that has Michelin recognition. The server was very very serious about his position, not one smile all evening though. The assistant was far more pleasant, smiled, very tentative too. We weren't on a business outing, just some friends getting dinner at a nice restaurant. The inside is dim lit, so the setting was on the formal side but the people inside were lively. I though our table was a bit loud at times just to find out in our silence everyone else was just as loud, so the people they attract aren't necessarily a bore. Something just is a little off putting about a place that seems to push pricy spirits as a means to their status. When I go to a restaurant I want the food to be the diamond in the crown and this place was not that. I think the drinks were more the focus of the night than the food. Of course there was special offers off menu, chefs special I suppose, like truffle topping, some other dish I can't remember, but it is a steakhouse so that's exactly what we ordered. They start you off with a wheel of bread that doesn't come warm, but nice for a fotos and definitely a medley to choose from served with butter. The Cowboy ribeye was portioned large enough for two if you ordered sides and appetizers, which we did. Something I wish the waiter would've told me is that the dishes come with sides, I didn't know that the ribeye came with a side of potatoes, which is my fault since it does say in the description. But I ordered mashed potatoes and lobster Mac on the side. The potatoes that come with the ribeye are way better than the mashed potatoes, the Mac and cheese is delicious!! Not much lobster as there were 3 tiny chunks thrown into the plate but the flavor was more than compensating for the lack of protein. The wagyu carpaccio was probably my favorite part of the night second to the Mac and cheese and cheesy potatoes that came with the steak. Which is the sad part to me, I think this place is good for a nice evening date. The food wasn't tasteless, the ribeye was very tender and juicy, which could've just been from the fat maybe since a good 30% of it was fat, I just don't think a steak needs to have anything added to elevate the flavor apart from the sides but in this case I did need the bordelaise sauce for enjoyment. Nonetheless, I would say this place is worth a try if you have been everywhere else. Not necessarily a must try place in my opinion.

I flew in to the OC airport to visit family and friends. I used Yelp to find this gem. My friend and I came Here for dinner and saw that there was a country dancehall club on the other side. I didn't pack my boots , or else I'd check it out. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. Nice comfortable booths and chairs. Great full bar with pricy and less expensive options. The waiter we had was nice and knowledgeable about the food and the farm to table service. Everything we had was fresh and uniquely plated. Our meal with tip was just under $300 but well worth it for the ambience and fresh food . This place would be perfect for special occasions , anniversary dinners or if you have the $$ any time because their menu changes often. Next time I'm in the area , I'll be back.

Came out tonight and booked the private room for a party of 14. Service was great and the food was great. Everyone made the experience great. Not our first rodeo. We love it here. Food drinks and great memories here thank you for the hospitality

We finally made it over to The Ranch, and we left impressed!! First of all, be sure to have a chunk of cash saved and ready to go, because it is definitely pricey. We were not planning on getting cocktails but they ended up sounding so good. I got the Rhubarb Rendezvous and Steven got - I think it was called Now You See Me. Both delicious. We then opted for apps. Steven had the wedge salad and I got the corn and roasted peppers bisque. Absolutely delicious. Unfortunately my soup was on their main rotating menu that I was told changes every two to three weeks. Now you see me, now you don't I guess? The main menu changes also, but less frequently. I was very tempted to try the lamb on the short farm menu, but since I hadn't seen it on their site, I went in planning to get halibut, and I did. It was also delicious but I'm sure the lamb would have been too. Steven got the filet and what do you know? A restaurant that cooked it the way he wanted the first time. We followed our meal with their Milky Way dessert which was unique and their take on a milky way bar, and delicious. Zero complaints about our food and drinks. Service was top notch!! We were checked on constantly, our waters never made it to even half empty, and there was constant staff helping take the plates and bringing the food as well. Great experience!

The best thing about this place isn't even the food but the amazing service you will receive! I came here with my fiancé for our 5th year anniversary dinner (which I made the resy the night prior) and it did not disappoint! Our server was so good at his job that I didn't even realize he slid my drink in front of me without me noticing. He was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. In terms of the food it's pretty on par with nice steakhouses. We ordered the lobster Mac n cheese, mushrooms, BLT salad, French onion soup, and the NY prime rib steak. They also have complimentary bread with multiple different flavors - the jalapeño cheese one was the best. Everything was very tasty. The French onion soup was decent at first but became quite potent after a while and became harder to finish since it was such a strong flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and they even confirmed the color of the inside with us! At the end they had surprised us with a sweet treat on the house to celebrate our anniversary! Such a pleasant surprise which made the experience that much better. Another random bonus of dining here - if you show your receipt at the front door, you can enter their saloon for free. It seemed to be a nice fun line dancing situation if you were up for it. Overall prices for dinner was quite high but pretty worth it if you care a lot about the experience itself.

Since my first visit in n 2018, I have returned 5 times, and each visit has been a 5 star experience. Last night, Mercy and I celebrated her birthday. Joseph was our server and was professional and smooth. Our dishes were plated nicely and tasted amazingly. The only minor thing was the hot water refills not being as on the ball.

5 stars for the service alone. Brian was fantastic from start to finish. Extremely attentive, always checking in, and I never had to ask for a refill once. His level of customer service is what I've always appreciated about The Ranch ever since Rito moved on. The service here has consistently been top notch and has never let us down. This visit, the food fell a little short of the usual standard. The fries weren't very crispy, although the sides were still delicious. My Delmonico, which is normally super juicy and tender, came out closer to medium instead of medium rare and was also a touch cold. That said, The Ranch is still one of my favorite spots in OC. If the kitchen can consistently match the high standards and execution that the servers provide, this place will easily stay at the top as one of the best steakhouse experiences in Orange County.

Hands down great restaurant, great customer service. Our waiter Ian was a funny guy. Such a cool human being. Made us feel so welcome. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious! Every plate was wonderfully crafted. My friends were very impressed, and definitely pleased our stomachs. Really nice layout. Even the bar next door was really nice. I'm not really into country music, but we had fun and enjoyed every minute.

We stumbled across The RANCH after our terrible experience at Flemings to celebrate my partner's birthday. We did not have reservations and just walked in, but the service was so friendly and inviting from the moment we walked in. Our server Samuel was fantastic, he paced our meal so perfectly, gave us good recommendations, and went out the way to engage in a conversation with us despite almost being closing time. They have an extensive wine list and different cocktails. They do have mocktails- so definitely ask your server! They give the best bread, bundled with a variety of flavors to taste from. We got their beef carpaccio, which had such a strong truffle flavor to it! The caesar salad was perfectly dressed and cheesy, and was a perfect complement with the french onion soup. I never tried french onion soup before, but the Ranch has def set my standards! It had so much depth of flavors, perfectly caramelized, you can taste the subtle alcohol in it as well. We got the NY strip to share, and they even offered to precut the steak for you into different plates. The steak was perfectly cooked and I loved the sides and sauce that come with it. For dessert, we opted for the ice cream, which we were told they have their own pastry chef who curates their menu for them. For our celebration, we were surprised with a creme brulee- which was top tier. I do believe you get a discount at their saloon for spending a certain amount dining in! I can't express how much I loved this place! Highly recc for any date night, celebration, or if you just want a solid steak :)

The Ranch is one of our go to steak houses. We love the food & the experience. Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. They really know how to make their customers feel special. We recently visited The Ranch for my son's high school graduation dinner. We were a party of 8 adults and 2 kids under 5. We all had a great time. Their bread and butter are always a fave of mine! How they cook their meats is always on point. Everything is fresh and from local farms. Can't complain whenever I come here. Love the low lighting as well.

Birthday dinner? Steak? The Ranch is the place to be. Husband wanted a steak dinner and chose this spot since he didn't want filet mignon and this place has several other cuts! We started our night off with some cocktails and before the meats came out we went for some wine. Drinks were very good. They also won an award for their wine last year! We started off with Escargot with some crispy toast. The buttery garlic escargot was so flavorful. We even dipped our bread into the sauce and asked for a spoon to scoop the garlic. They brought out complementary bread with different flavors. It's a wagon wheel of bread with Dark Squaw (our favorite), brioche, cranberry and walnut, multigrain, jalapeños, sweet Portuguese and sourdough with a side of rosemary butter. For our main we got 16oz prime angus New York strip and that came with a side of duck fat confit potatoes. I ordered from the farm menu of the prime rib that came with scallops potatoes. Both were delicious and huge. We couldn't finish it and had the rest to be taken as to go. Our side was Lobster Mac and Cheese and my goodness. It was so creamy and good. Stayed creamy and soft throughout our meal! You know that's some good quality Mac and cheese! Since it was my husband's bday they brought him out a crème brûlée on the house with a candle and written out on the plate "Happy birthday" very sweet. We also got their Old Fashioned Pecan Pie with vanilla bean ice cream. The crust on that pecan pie was actually very good. Very dense and thick layer of pecan on top but done very nicely. Service was great from the host to our server. Everything was wonderful and delicious!

Popcorn ice cream - so delicious!

I'm just sorry it took me 6 years to get back. The Ranch is as good as I remembered. Food, service and atmosphere are all first class. Try the popcorn ice cream and pecan pie! Can't wait to return.

Is this restaurant kid friendly? We'd love to go but I can't leave my toddler home. He's very chill but toddlers are unpredictable, so if people don't take their littles here we probably need a few more years lol.

We took my 3 yo for Mother's Day lunch. Staff was great and the lil one loved the food. He was well behaved ( which isn't always the case) so dining was delightful. We stayed a long while and their was no pressure to leave.

It was an extremely hot day, and we actually ended up at Outback unexpectedly after the A/C broke at the restaurant we originally planned to visit. When we arrived, the hosts were incredibly sweet and welcoming. I'm not a fan of booths, so we asked to wait for a regular table. They let us know it would be around 30 minutes, and we were happy to wait. About 45 minutes later, we learned another party who had already been seated at a booth decided they wanted the table intended for us and refused to move, even after management became involved. It was frustrating, but we knew it wasn't the hosts' fault. They remained apologetic, kind, and professional throughout the situation. Between the heat and extended wait, my blood sugar dropped and I started feeling awful. My friend went to the bar, and the bartender was incredibly quick to help her get me some juice, which I genuinely appreciated. After about an hour and 15 minutes, we decided we'd take whatever seating was available. A busser quickly cleaned a table for us and left it sparkling. We were FINALLY seated, hungry, exhausted, and just hoping we could salvage our girls' night. And then came Lashawn. Lashawn was returning from her break, so another gentleman initially took care of us. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he deserves recognition too! He greeted us with a warm smile, brought us fresh bread and butter, took our order, and immediately made us feel welcomed. Then Lashawn took over our table, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this woman. Lashawn wasn't just a good server. She wasn't even a great server. She was genuinely one of the BEST servers I have ever had. Her attentiveness was incredible. She didn't wait for us to flag her down--she anticipated what we needed before we even had the chance to ask. Our butter was getting low, our appetizer sauce was running out, and our drinks needed refills. Just as we were about to get her attention, there she was with fresh butter, more sauce, and refills. THAT is exceptional service. She was attentive without hovering, efficient without making us feel rushed, and warm and personable while taking amazing care of us. You could tell she genuinely cared about her guests' experience. Then she went completely above and beyond. When Lashawn learned what we were celebrating, she surprised my best friend with the cutest little dessert to celebrate her new single-baddie era. We weren't expecting it, which made it even more special. After everything that happened earlier, that thoughtful gesture became the highlight of our night. We went from feeling defeated and wondering if our girls' night was doomed to leaving happy, laughing, full, and talking about how amazing Lashawn was. She completely changed the direction of our experience. Management: PLEASE recognize Lashawn. Employees like her are the reason customers come back. She is an incredible representation of hospitality and exceptional customer service. Give this woman a raise, Employee of the Month, Employee of the YEAR--something! She deserves her flowers. I also want to recognize the rest of the team. The hosts remained kind through a difficult situation they didn't create, the bartender quickly helped when I needed juice, the gentleman covering Lashawn's section was welcoming and attentive, and the busser made sure our table was spotless. The restaurant was clean, and the food was AMAZING. We were also extremely surprised and appreciative that management gave us a discount because of the earlier situation. We weren't expecting it, and it was a generous gesture that helped turn the experience around. I only wish the manager had stopped by our table afterward--not so we could complain, but because we would've talked their ear off about how phenomenal Lashawn was! What started as a night where everything seemed to be going wrong became such a fun and memorable celebration. We will absolutely be back--and Lashawn is a main reason why. Thank you, Lashawn, for taking a night that felt like a total defeat and turning it into exactly what it was supposed to be: a celebration.

It was busy, but we were seated really quickly. We usually get the same things with my wife sometimes mixing it up. Appetizers: Wings: Hot and Delicious. Their wings are unique and don't taste like the typical Buffalo Wings. I ordered them hot with blue cheese. Excellent starter. Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie: My kids love shrimp. This comes with 2 skewers of grilled shrimp with a dipping sauce. Entrées: Prime Rib: I always get the Prime Rib. On this day I got loaded mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. My Prime Rib came medium rare as requested. It had great flavor. Sides were good as well. I got both creamy and fresh horseradish with my Prime Rib. Kids Food: Two of my kids ordered the kids steak and one got the grilled chicken with fries. They enjoyed their food. My wife got a salad and added salmon to it. No complaints from her. Dessert: We ordered the Chocolate Thunder From Down Under. My kids loved it. It's basically a brownie with ice cream. Now the main reason they liked it even more was that this dessert is gluten free. Two of my kids have celiac disease so they were so excited to be able to get something besides ice cream. Drinks: I had a few ipas. Beer selection isn't the greatest. These chain restaurants need to get more local craft beers on tap. Service: We had great service. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Anything we needed was brought to us quickly. Final Thoughts: Outback is popular with our family as everyone can find something they like. We've always had a good experience at this specific location. We will definitely return here anytime we're back in the area.
