my friend and I arrived at Royal sushi buffet, and I was quite surprised as well as pleased to see how clean and inviting they were. Once I entered the sushi buffet, we were greeted by a very nice lady with a very heavy accent. She was very helpful, directed us to a table and took our drink orders. like most buffets, you go up to the counters take a plate or two and go down each line and pick out the foods that you like. Royal sushi buffet had not only fresh sushi, they had everything else in between. Fresh shrimp chicken bourbon, chicken, egg, foo young spring rolls very good crab Rangoon, yellow rice, white rice anything you can imagine. If you wanted something freshly made for you, they would do that. I ordered an iced tea sweetened which was very good. It tasted like they made it fresh from the teabag because it didn't have that artificial taste . Everything was constantly being cleaned, whether it was tables, the floor, where the food was everything was wiped clean after everyone would go down each and every aisle someone would come behind them, and wipe up any spillage or drippage that might have occurred. The food was arranged beautifully it wasn't just thrown on there. They would place them nice and neat in a row to show the colorfulness of the foods and you could see clearly what each one was. On the glass in front of each item they named what the item was if you weren't sure. the food was extremely good. The service was good, our glasses were never empty and though they were busy, they didn't try to make us feel like once we ate it was time to get out. My friend and I stayed for approximately three hours we talked, we got caught up on things that it happened since we last seen each other and they didn't care. so if you're hungry for some delicious oriental cuisine, I highly recommend you try Royal sushi buffet. Nice assortment on the buffet. There is sushi, hot dishes, cold salads and desserts. Very cleans and spacious dining area. There were 2 waitresses that I saw, drinks not refilled quickly and no one came to collect, so we waited at register to pay. Big surprise. Tried this for the first time and really liked everything I ate. Doesn't look like much from the parking lot. It's tucked away behind Chili's. I've lived in the area for almost a year and never noticed it. Light and bright inside and clean. All the usual dishes but done well and hot. The boiled shrimp and fried chicken were top notch. I wish I could give this place zero stars. We walk in and nobody greeted us, so we went to the bathroom to wash our hands. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. My husband looked at the food and sent me a video of a roach crawling all over the Mac and cheese!!! Food looked SO gross. Shoes and clothes under tables like they live there. Worst food ever! Told the person at front desk that after being there an hour, they never Beloit any fresh seafood. Salt and pepper shrimp was so old, it was stuck to the pan and inside the shrimps were just mushy. The "steamed" clams had no liquid in them . The clams were brown and dried out. Server got some hot water and poured over clams. When I told her they were not edible because they were so dried out, she pretended like now she didn't understand English. She just stirs the dried out clam nuggets hoping to reconstitute them. The dumpling were so old and dried out, they were almost black and you had to scrape them off the pan. And forget about the "sushi". It used to be Fresh tuna and salmon. Now it's colored rice that's MASHED Fake crab causing a goo. Server became irate, yelling at me in Chinese, or whatever language she was spewing, so I yelled even louder to make sure that everyone knew how old this garbage was. I have been the restaurant business for over 30 years and I wouldn't even serve this to my dog. This place used to be pretty good with all fresh food. We were in the area and were soooo hungry so we decided on a buffet because it's instant food. Arrived around 2:00 pm on a Saturday and there was a steady flow of people. There were a few things that looked horrible (looking at you- watery Kraft Mac n cheese!!). The good: they have amazing chicken wings. This is something I don't typically eat at buffets but they were actually amazing. Large, meaty, juicy, and super crispy. Also- they had a great variety of sushi. Lots of rolls and quite a few choices of nigiri (salmon, tuna, and escolar). They also had some good ice cream choices- who doesn't love ice cream?!? The bad: basically all the meat. I took a small portion of every type of meat to see if one was better than another. None of them really had flavor except for sweetness. Some were tough, others greasy. If I lived in the area, I don't think this would be high on my list of "go to" places but for $10 at lunch- go for the sushi, wings, and ice cream. Definitely a good deal! Sorry- no pics. Went for Saturday buffet dinner. Three stars for the remodel job it's nice. They were constantly bringing out fresh food but we didn't get any of the crab legs. Every time they brought them out they were gone to the first three people waiting on them. For $33.98 for two people you'd think they'd be able to keep one of the big items like the crab legs full.
