Terri is amazing! I am very picky when it comes to people cutting and styling my hair and I decided to give T2 a try after seeing an amazing deal on the Groupon. Terri was so nice and took me in even though I was late to my appointment (by the way, if you don't know where her salon is, it's in the mall, tucked away, like a gem, in the Salon Plaza stall (which is what you will look up in the mall directory). Besides her genuine kindness and being very personable, which made me feel very comfortable, Terri knows what she is doing! She provided me with a consultation and helped me decide what style to get that compliments my face well, what will look good for my hair, in the long run. I'm definitely not the expert, and Terri IS! She knew what I was thinking and was able to tell me that what I had in mind wouldn't work and when I went with her advice, it was exactly the cut I was envisioning in my head but Terri, the expert, did her magic! In addition, she added her touch by taking good care of my hair and offering advice to care for it. She finished off by taking the time to style it to make it look so good. When choosing to trust a hairstylist, I'd rather have someone take time on my hair to make it look beautiful and make sure that I am happy with it, rather than someone who wants to accommodate as many customers that they are not concerned about how the client feels about her hair. I decided to get my waist-length hair cut to above my shoulders. Before she put scissors anywhere near my head, Terri made sure I REALLY wanted to do that - before it was too late. From that moment, I knew I was in excellent hands. Terri is FANTASTIC! I got a fabulous cut and color and had a fun afternoon. She asked a ton of questions to be sure we were on the same page, and even had me do the styling at the end (mousse and scrunching - so easy and it's the cutest cut I've ever had!) so I could learn. When you get a cut and color and highlights, you're at the salon for the long haul. So I got to watch Terri with a few other clients - she paid just as much attention and care to the girl just getting her ends trimmed as she did to me - everyone left happy. Terri was excellent. I was looking for a change in my hair and went with Terri based on previous reviews and photos. Terri asked me what i wanted throughout the process and did a great job. I also had the deep conditioning treatment and my hair feels great. Terri's studio is within Studio Plaza in Wheaton Mall (who knew that was there), and it's pretty cozy. The space is not a problem though because she controls her schedule so that only one client is there, maybe with a little overlap with another. She was 100% focused on me. Terri is wonderful. I went to her for a haircut and color, never before having colored my hair and being a little unsure of what I wanted. She asked me lots of great questions to figure out what color I wanted and what cut I was looking for. The final product is great - I've gotten tons of compliments. And I love that she was more or less able to match my natural color (I'm graying and didn't really want to change my hair color besides covering up the gray). Terry is amazing and I will be a loyal customer from this point out. I met her through a friend and went to her to go from blonde to red, feeling nervous about it. She spent 20 minutes with me going through swatches and giving me an honest opinion of what she thought would and wouldn't be flattering with my skin tone while fully respecting what I wanted. She is lively and fun to talk to while she does your hair and I was really happy with my result. She also took her time to perfect it- she is not okay with doing a half-assed job. I just went to see Terri last night after finding an amazing Groupon deal. This was a big step for me because I have been cutting and highlighting my hair with the same person for TEN years. I was terrified to go anywhere else to the point that I neglected my hair for 7 months... I am so happy I found this place!!! Terri is SO sweet. She really takes her time to get to know you and help you figure out what you really want. I've gotten my highlights done using a different method since I was 15 (I've never used foils) and she was so accommodating! She ditched the foils and did them the way I wanted and they look AMAZING! The highlight placement and color are both perfect! I also really appreciate that she took her time with the cut she cut off all the dead ends first to the length of my liking and then gave me amazing layers. She started long and kept going back to cut them shorter, making sure that I approved and liked each snip. She also uses amazing products and the deep conditioning treatment left my hair incredibly soft and shiny. I am so happy I found Terri and will DEFINITELY be coming back! read more
