A long-time Houston family planted in Houston and have been in business for prob over forty years or so! Father and son business and I came to them to have some jewel appliqué embellished jeans hemmed because I'm a petite 5'1 girly and it's hard to find jeans that fit! I called them on Easter weekend and they were about to close shop early for the holiday weekend but I caught them right before closing and they agreed to stay open just long enough for me to get there and drop off the jeans. I arrived and Mr. Imparali (their dad) stayed after just to measure my hem and then the tune around time was quick! Just a few days later we picked up the jeans and they even expedited it for us. I have been looking at this establishment for years. Because it's on the second floor of Building C at Dun Huang Plaza, I hardly walk upstairs. But She have been working at this location for quite some times. I was here the other day to check out the new massage parlor 7 Day Spa. I was amazed to see the size of her shop. They don't sell anything but just alterations. I used to go to Lily's Alteration until it gave me a bad taste when Yammy Street opened few years ago. Axiu's shop has roomier changing room than Lily's and spacious showroom for brides to try out their gowns. That's a big plus compared to Lily's cramped space and full of clothes for sale. This place is bright, brighter than all other seamstress shops I have been to. Lighting is important for her and for customers. I was examining the sewing pattern on my yoga pants to make sure the thread color matching. Wow. I couldn't even see this was altered. She speaks Mandarin to me. I don't know how fluent with English. She works hard as she is there everyday 10 am to 7 pm. My order was ready next day.

For context, I agreed he could alter the back and close up this absurd gap between the halter tie and the seam. He said it would make the fit look more flattering, and it really made a huge difference. On top of that, he had it ready for me two days earlier than I thought! I only had about a week before the wedding (because I'd ordered/returned so many options that didn't work from the bridesmaid online shop). It was my first time going to Le, so I didn't know what to expect. I'd read reviews and had friends in the area recommend him. I'm glad I listened. And let me tell you, the end result looked SO much better when I picked it up! Everything he said to me, he was absolutely right about. I went in one day to dry a pair of suit pants, a suit jacket and a white dress shirt I asked when it would be ready and they told me the very next day, that is unheard of. I thought my cleaning would be finished at the end of the day, but I got a text saying that my clothes were ready in the middle of the day. Really fast service. Also, I think she was the owner, but she thanked me for coming in and being a new customer and was very kind. I called back to ask a question and she answered so politely. I tried A-1 with a comforter and they were so much more professional and friendly. Charli (front desk person) is amazing and great with customers. I ended up taking all of my laundry and dry cleaning to A-1 and now won't go anywhere else. Not the least expensive but worth it to not have my clothes ruined. They do everything on site so nothing gets sent out and lost. I'm retired now so I don't need to go as often but this will be my cleaners from now on. Also nice touch -- they text when your order is ready. Too many times, my previous cleaners would say "ready x, y, or z" and then say - "not back yet, come back tomorrow." Never again.

I needed it to be at a certain width to fit right during a virtual meeting right after the new year. I knew something was not going well when I describe how I wanted. Because seamstress didn't write it down. Sure enough. It was sawn wrong side. I kept missing her to pick it up. I ended up eating my dinner at Yummy Street a couple of times. I managed to use bobby pins to correct the fit during my meeting. After that I went back to ask for correction. I felt bad about not paying but it was clearly her mistake. Guess what? I kept missing her again. I finally picked up right before my second event. Oh boy. Not going back again. There are plenty of alteration shops in Chinatown.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. They will leave your clothes smelling horrible and ruin them to the point…read morewhere they themselves are not able to remove the smell and then blame you for not giving them enough time to fix it. They then tell you that other people have the same issue but they were patient enough to wait 3WEEKS to get it done. They will not pay you for the clothes value that they ruined, only the service they charged. After coming here for years and having several issues with them like making holes on some of our items, or even leaving stains on them, they have reached the limit with this. And just FYI they kept my clothes for almost a week to "fix" the issue. After trying to pick them up twice, I decided to just take them as they are and took the money back for the service. But now I need to see to fix the items myself or once again have to buy them. DON'T come here. The owners are rude and will not help when problems like this happen. I laugh about it now, but she went as far as to call me ugly for telling her that this was too much and I find it unfair to not take responsibility for the ruined clothes. Horrible service.
