We decided on conscious sedation to replace two crowns, and it was an incredibly relieving experience. I found this dental office after doing some extensive online research. I have two special needs children and wanted a family dentist that wouldn't insist on putting them under anesthesia for routine cleanings. My kids are usually very cooperative, when someone takes the time to just explain what they're doing. This dentist and his staff were excellent at this. All three of my kids had a wonderful visit and even though one child started getting upset, the staff was totally understanding and so professional. The entire staff made those feelings go away immediately. And I left with a treatment plan that included under $1,000 of true need work...with options of other things that can be done in time. Went to the dentist for the first time on Thursday. Yes, you read that right, first time ever, at 36 years old. I could feel that some of my teeth were broken, had seen pieces come off, could feel jagged edges on the backs of my bottom teeth. I'm not the best about oral hygiene, never have been, and I have DEFINITELY NOT led a coffee or soda free life. So I knew it was an absolute disaster area in there. I told them so, from the moment I made the appointment. I made jokes about them screaming when they looked at the X-Rays, and taking pictures of the insides of my mouth as a sort of "or else" for children. I have issues with what doctors call "vasovagal syncope", which is basically a fancy way of saying that, when anything weird happens (such as someone poking around in my mouth for the first time ever), my blood pressure drops, I get clammy, and I enter this near-unconscious phase of everything is terrible and I'm panicking and oh god make this feeling go away. I also have a genetic disorder that causes my muscles to fatigue and cramp quickly and sometimes unexpectedly. I told them about both of these things. I figured it was all going to be a terrible experience. I was dead wrong. I have a few minor cavities (maybe, there was enough plaque to require two cleanings, and they won't know for absolute certain until after the second). My teeth are not broken, that was just some major plaque build-up coming loose. I probably should have my wisdom teeth removed since one has a cavity, and they're so hard to keep clean that they're likely to cause problems later, but Dr. Rhodes made it clear that it was less of a recommendation to have them pulled, and more of an FYI that it might be a better idea, if I wanted to go that route. The cleaning, my first cleaning ever, wasn't even unpleasant. Their staff is extremely kind, handled all my fears, and shared my wonder in the fact that, somehow, some way, I actually have fairly decent teeth! In summary, Dr Rhodes is excellent, down-to-earth, and very frank and honest. And my oral hygienist, Krista, is one of those people that have slipped through the Dimension of Unbelievably Nice People into our own reality. You don't meet those people often, but they are so nice to deal with when you do, especially in this kind of situation. read more

This is going to be long but trust me it's worth it. I am the type of person that hates, let me repeat that, HATES dentists. With that being said our family literally spent years looking for a dentist that was great for us. We came across Dr. Rhodes when my husband had a dental emergency over a weekend and based off of many yelp reviews we called Royal Vista Dental. He took care of my husband without even knowing him and my husband went to him the following Tuesday. My husband went to Royal Vista Dental and he said it was the best Dental experience he ever had. At this point I couldn't get my husband to go to another dentist. Fast forward FOUR years later, I chipped my tooth on a chicken wing (yes an effing chicken wing) on Saturday, March 18th. I called Christine (Office Manager who is sweet as pie) on Monday since I had no pain and they got me in the office today, March 21st. I, of course, had to get shots and they didn't hurt one bit. When it comes to getting shots in the mouth, I am the biggest crybaby out there. He fixed my chipped tooth but while he was in there noticed I had a small cavity and asked me if he could fix that as well since the whole area was going to be numb anyways and of course I said yes. I have always had fantastic service and procedures when I come here and it's always been consistent. They know our family by name. Our kids love them! One child has ADHD, one is a wiggly kindergartener, and the smallest has been seen by Dr. Rhodes since he got his first tooth. I don't care where we move we will continue to visit Dr. Rhodes no matter how far the drive. I have recommended many people to Royal Vista Dental and they have the same reviews. I have been a client of Royal Vista Dental and Dr. Rhodes for the past couple of years and will continue to do so for three reasons: 1) The staff is very customer focused - they are genuinely friendly and helpful on the phone and it person. 2) Dr. Rhodes took the time to personally consult me on the current status of my dental health and advise me of my options moving forward - without ever coming across as a sales pitch. 3) The office is technologically advanced - including TVs mounted in the ceiling (you can watch while they work in your mouth) and the equipment that scans your mouth and gives immediate feedback on your dental health. My favorite is the computer-aided design machine that makes crowns on-site while you wait (this was super convenient for me with my travel schedule as it allowed me a single visit when I had to get my crown replaced). Changing dentists is not easy, but if you have any doubt about your current dentist, give Dr. Rhodes a chance. Here is my story, and why I changed dentists: Three years ago my previous dentist crowned two molars and afterward they always became sensitive when I ate anything that wasn't a sandwich. Every 6 months I mentioned it and they kept grinding the good teeth above it, prescribing anti-inflammatory pills, and finally a $700 mouth guard. Eventually I thought, crowns are just more sensitive than regular teeth and chewed on the other side. One day I drove down 1431 and saw Dr. Rhodes' office is right between my house and my current dentist and decided, why not get a second opinion? Looking back now I am thinking it was Divine inspiration :) Dr. Rhodes took one look and said the crowns were done wrong: they were too tall and the tops were too thin from adjusting them, and they also did not line up with the way I chew. He also said he would not mind fixing it but the other dentist should fix them for free, now that is integrity! By then I was so impressed with Dr. Rhodes that I had him replace both crowns and for the first time in 3 years I can eat a nice juicy steak and enjoy it with no pain. If you are not 100% happy with your current dentist, you owe it to yourself to drop by Royal Vista Dental, you have nothing to lose. read more

First all the lady at the desk is always super nice and the waiting area is very clean and nice. Y'all, just had the best experience ever at Royal Vista Dental! Kevin and his team are amazing. Always a friendly greeting by name as I walk in the door, no wait usually or a short wait today (which was apologized for several times and I was told that they were up to 15 minutes behind right when I walked in! Ended up getting in the room in under ten minutes!) and always a friendly dental tech or assistant (usually Brandi for my regular cleaning, she's awesome). Today Ashley took care of me and she was so thoughtful- even put vitamin E on my lips before and during my 3 fillings to help with dry lips! Just wow! And Kevin is the best- pain free, seriously! 3 fillings and no pain. I was actually looking forward to the procedure (partially because I knew I would get to sit/lay down for 2 hours but also because I was confident I wouldn't be in pain or even uncomfortable, really!). Myself and my two young children have visited Royal Vista Dental within the last 4 weeks. The staff was GREAT with my 3 1/2 yr old and my 5 yr old - both had a great time and loved watching the TV on the ceiling! The staff made them very comfortable and was really patient with my son who was nervous about his first cleaning. My experience was also great. The office is beautiful and very comfortable. I have been there for a number of different procedures as well as simple cleanings (and I have never been one to like dentists or their offices). I'm new to the area and need some dental work done so I called and made an appointment to come in for a teeth cleaning. The front desk team was friendly and helpful and everything went very smoothly. On the day of the appointment I arrived a few minutes early and took care of the paperwork. I was seen right on time and I had to get back to work so this was perfect. The offices, waiting room, etc. are all very nice--if I had to wait, that's somewhere I would not have minded. The exam and x-rays and cleaning were probably the best experience I've ever had in a dental office. Probably in any healthcare setting, actually. The staff was great and everything went smoothly.
