Went here for a lunch meet up. It's a small spot with a few tables for sitting. The food was really good. I tried the chicken bowl. The chicken was very tender and well seasoned. The garlic sauce in that bowl was so good! I'm a huge garlic fan. The bowl also came with hummus and pita chips. The pita chips are more of the crunchy chips versus the soft version you can sometimes find. Overall very delicious and great portions read more

We saw an article about Royal Wraps in the LVRJ and the food sounded good so we gave it a shot on a Friday evening for dinner. We were NOT disappointed as the food was delicious! We ordered the beef and lamb shawarma, the falafel pita, another side of falafel, a side of rice and a side of fries. The shawarma was very well seasoned with distinct Mediterranean spices - so good! The pita was fresh and the garlic tahini sauce inside was a great complement to the tender meat. That sauce was so delicious I honestly could have drank it by itself. The falafel was super tender. They clearly make it fresh in-house which is more than I can say about some other places in the valley. My wife is very picky about falafel and she loved it - enough said! The rice and fries were good - could've used a little more seasoning on each but still good quality. Many of the lower rated Yelp reviews I've seen of Royal Wraps reference the portion sizes. While I would agree that the price point here is a little bit higher than many counter service restaurants it's important to understand that higher quality, fresh ingredients cost money and you are definitely getting what you pay for here. read more

Is there a new king of Middle Eastern food in town? *dramatic pause* Royal Wraps is a fairly new restaurant that may indeed offer Lebanese food in particular (see comment in entree discussion). They opened up some time this past summer, and I'd made eye contact with the place while making occasional trips to a nearby French cafe, but it took an impromptu lunch trip for me to make a spot. Oh, and the cafe was closed today. Inside is the counter for placing your order and a smattering of mostly small tables. The cashier greeted me, asked whether it was my first time, and mentioned that they're redesigning their menu and that they now offer bowls and quesadillas in addition to the salads and wraps. I was doing takeout, so I decided to keep it simple by going with the Beef & Lamb Shawarma Wrap ($12.00). It's rolled in a flatbread that's much thinner than a typical pita and then sliced in half and oddly wrapped with two smaller aluminum foil squares. When you bit into it though, juicy and tender meat with some obvious fatty bits - always a plus in my book - are present in every bite. The wrap is all that is needed to contain the filling, so it's not heavy overall with the presence of fries. The creamy tarator sauce (it's apparently a Lebanese tahini) has a fun citrusy aspect, although I'm not familiar enough to discern whether additional spices were used. Watch out for spillage and try to unwrap the paper slowly as you proceed; I may have learned this the hard way. I don't think it's this 5 star perfection which a lot of Yelpers seem to give too freely though. The fries especially are not fluffy or crispy, just a bunch of non-texturally-contributing soft starch. I also disdain the presence of ketchup packets included in my bag because it's such a strong flavor and doesn't feel appropriate at all to the culture. I refused to try adding ketchup to the shawarma on principle, and the Internet largely seems to agree with me. Frankly, I haven't tried enough comparable foods to have a strong opinion. However, Royal Wraps is certainly a good fast casual spot that interprets these dishes differently than the more popular Greek restaurants. Give them a try if you're in the area. read more

About a year ago this was my favorite place. Having moved from little Arabia in Cali- I used to crave royal wraps. The meat was juicy, the food came hot, even as take out, and it just felt like there was love in it. My recent few experiences have not been anything like that.. past few times I've received cold meat, or very little meat on the salad, the dressing tastes mid, and the meat lost its flavor :( try them out- but unfortunately it's a hit or miss. read more

This place was ok. I'd say it's 3-3.5 stars. The shawarma wrap was a bit small, but it's not priced terribly as $12. The chicken was pretty bland and lacked flavor, didn't really pack a punch. The garlic sauce was not too strong, which is a plus, but it was totally carrying all the flavor in the wrap. The fries were soggy and didn't add much. Ordered two chicken shawarma wraps, my wife only ate a half and I ate the whole thing, which I regretted later. Was pretty disappointed in the value for $28. Two pretty skimpy wraps, they said it's thigh meat but found it to be dry. The fries inside didn't add any flavor, just filler and dryness. And the outer wrap was dry as well. So it was a dry wrapper with dry meat, flavorless fries and lettuce. The worst thing about it was the garlic sauce, because not only is it too strong, but it's made with jarred garlic which I hate the artificial flavor of vs fresh garlic. Hate to bag on this place because clearly times are tough and they don't look like they're getting much business, but wish there were more realistic reviews so I could have saved the money. Having seen this restaurant on yelp for the first time, I decided to give it a try. I saw the Shawarma Salad and order it over the phone with a side of fries. Brought my wife to pick up my food and the place looked new and clean, with modern decor. I was greeted very nicely and was told my food was ready. Good thing my wife checked, it was completely the wrong order, but Kimberly was nice enough to say don't worry they can make my food. We had to wait another 10-15 mins more! I was not impressed with this part, we had to give our drink back she gave to us. We had to say something, we told Kimberly we normally see owners/managers give us something for messing up on their part. She quickly apologized and said that we can have the drink. Small but mighty! I ordered the beef/lamb shawarma and it absolutely hit the spot. The portion may look modest, but every bite was packed with bold, savory flavor. The garlic sauce was just right, strong enough to stand out, but not overpowering and everything was perfectly balanced. Not too salty, not too soggy, just juicy and satisfying. The fries, were over seasoned with pepper and other seasoning. It's all you taste. You barely taste the French fry. The Wrap: the meat is dry.. and is not cooked like a Doner really is. When you cook vertical rotisserie style meats in the Middle East, it comes off moist, and melt in your mouth. This meat is seasoned just like any other Greek restaurant in town and is dry. I'd they're comparing to Canadian Donair, its roots are still fused with the Middle East. The meat should not be dry if properly cooked. Needless to say, I will not order here again. As a Lebanese myself I can't rave enough on how good and authentic the "toum" is better than any other shawarma place in Vegas and rivals the super star shawarma joints in Southern California. My only complaints are that they charge extra for the garlic which comes on this is usually free everywhere else but I can get over because of how good it is. I know what true authentic shawarma is , and this is not it. The garlic tastes like water, no flavor whatsoever. The chicken is bland , even the pickles barely have taste. Overall the food was not something that stood out to me. I ordered a wrap and a loaded fry. The wrap was rather average, the meat was a bit tough. Vegetables didn't seem to be fresh. The fries were alright, way too many tomatoes, but that was easy to overcome. Overall, if I came back, I'd probably try the salad. At around $12 dollars for loaded fries it seemed excessive. The wrap was also around $12 and it's 5.00 more to make it a combo with fries and a drink. I spent around 30 bucks and while nothing was unpleasant, I likely wouldn't seek this place out to return. An honest review would be 3.5 stars, but I rounded up since it's a new small business. read more
