I took my vehicle in and they quoted a new price $100 HIGHER! I showed them the text message but they refused to honor the price. I'm editing my review. After I left, they dug in to find out what happened. They reached out to me. They found what happened, apologized, and made it right. I couldn't ask for a better resolution. I am often aware that mechanics could easily take advantage of me. This shop is honest, and does right by their customers. I will be back, and I encourage everyone to check them out. We took our car to the dealer. It turns out that RPM changed the compressor and expansion valve but the incorrect expansion valve. So I paid for them to "change something" but not fix it. Very disappointed because David only reached out to my husband after I posted the first review and not me--he's contacted me in the past. I just wish they had the self awareness and respect for their customers to admit they weren't fully certain on what was being fixed rather than charging me for literally no help at all. read more

Service quality is always top notch at RPM. Honest, reasonably priced service. Recommended additional services and repairs always offered. The only gripe I have with RPM (knocked off 1 star) is that even with appointments, the service takes a long time. Sometimes not starting work for 30-40 minutes after appointment time. However, the shop often offers rides home and even return rides back to the shop upon completion of service. I would still definitely recommend and return without hesitation. read more

I took my car to the store because the check engine light was on in the morning and I only can make appointment with dealer in two days. David told me that I shouldn't drive the car because it would damage the engine. After that, he said that the spark plugs need to be replaced. He said I shouldn't do the oil change every 10,000 miles. That's all wrong actually. I did oil change every 5000 miles in the dealer. My car is still under the warranty. The way he pushes me to do the work in the store. Also $200 per hour for the labor? You already charge me 1 hour labor for the testing car, 1 hour for the air inductions service, plus 7.5 for the spark plugs work for the same day?? Ridiculous. I go to the dealer wouldn't be so expensive. Also, dealer would ask me if I would like to do which services and parts. You take advantage of me. I believe it's NOT just me. Yes. You make money from me but you would lose customers. read more

Been coming to RPM Auto Center for over 2 years now. I have two older vehicles so I don't like to take them to the dealer because they charge so much. At RPM I have always been treated well, they always thoroughly check for problems when I have any issues and don't try to up sell any repairs unless it is necessary. Mike, Teddy and David are awesome guys that will take care of you and whatever your auto needs. Another plus for coming to RPM, is that they offer you a ride home and even pick you up and drive you back to the shop if you need to leave. PLEASE READ. SAVE MONEY. New fuel injectors, installed: RPM Auto Center: $2800 3 other local auto shops quoted me: $1200 Check out my estimate, I uploaded a photo. They charged me $166.00 for "diagnostic analysis with testing equipment". They basically just checked for any check engine codes and visually checked my spark plugs. No idea how, but this took over an hour. After the "analysis" they quoted me $2856 parts and labor for repairs. I declined and decided to shop around and get opinions from other local mechanics. I visited 3 other shops, they all quoted me less than half, around $1200 with one year warranty. The other auto shops also didn't charge me for a proper diagnostic analysis that was much quicker as well. They couldn't believe the pricing I received from RPM Auto Center. I also asked the service representative at RPM Auto Center, how many hours of labor is charged for this job? He answered that it's at least a 7 hour job. The other local auto shops that I visited all confirmed that it is in fact, at most, a 2 hour job. Apparently swindling customers and misinformation is how they do business at RPM Auto Center. Hopefully you read this review and take your business elsewhere. Recommendation for RPM Auto Center, Irwindale My experience was excellent at RPM. I was treated very well there. Teddy (the owner) was so patient and explained things in ways I could really understand. The prices were way less than the dealership quoted me for the same work. When I jammed my seatbelt and couldn't get it to release, I came back the next day and Teddy fixed it for me--he didn't even charge me. I felt spared from having to buy a whole new seatbelt. Kyle even gave me a ride home, and he made it a lovely ride. He laughed at my jokes, which is unusual these days, and it made me feel cared for. My past 2 experiences here have been awful and I will never be coming back. I usually work on my own car but went here a few months ago to do some services as I did not have the time. It was okay pricing back then but they reinstalled my under guard tray incorrectly and caused me to bend it on my drive back as I went over a bump. I immediately knew what it was and went under the car to confirm it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I didn't not feel like complaining I'm not the one to write reviews, especially not a bad one, but my last time here really pushed me over the edge. I went in for a diagnostic to make sure my suspicion of the noise in my car was correct. I was not planning on doing the service there, however, once I heard the price I was even more sure of my decision and knew that I would never come back again. I was quoted $3k to change all 3 motor mounts. I understand if the OEM parts were to cost them $1500, but an additional $1500 in labor is absurd when it took me 2 hours to change them myself. Heck, even $1000 in labor for this job would've been insane. To top it all off, they completely forgot to reinstall my under guard tray this time and I only noticed once I went under the car to replace my rear mount. Safe to say I will never be coming back here and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in to get an oil change for my car, Toyota Prius Prime 2020. I saw this place because of the coupon deal they had and the many good reviews I saw. Everyone was nice and I got my car done fairly quick. When it was time to pay, they suggested some additional services that I felt wasn't right. They didn't try to push it too much and respected my decision to decline it. I went to check out my wiper blades because of the suggestion to replace them. I had them replaced two months ago and it barely rain in the past two months so the use of the wiper blades were rare. I noticed it was pulled apart on the bottom. Whenever I used my wipers to clean my windows with the windshield washer fluid it was perfectly fine. However now when I use my wiper the part that is pulled is extremely noticeable. I believe they pulled it apart after I came in with my oil change. Then I checked under my hood to see what they did and then my cap was completely gone. I called them and they told me to bring it in. I noticed they lifted my car to see if it fell or got loose. But it turns out the person just left it on the shelf. I got my cap back so and they were nice about it. They gave me a 8$ value car wash (eh) as their way of saying sorry. So they get an extra star. This was my first time coming here and probably my last. If I completely trusted them and walked away from my car without checking, my engine could have been damaged. Especially since I don't check under my hood often so I wouldn't have never known that I was missing an oil cap. Also they suggested a transmission and break fluid change which I did in March 26, 2024 this year. It was strange they suggested this and it makes me wonder if they really did check if I needed the change or they were trying to upsell. You can decide for yourself because I'm not coming back to check with them. If you are reading this please always make sure to check your car after any job to see if they did it properly. read more
