I had an excellent experience at RPM Garage. I brought my 2022 Lexus GX460 in after noticing rear sway and clunking following a recent suspension lift. Daniel took the time to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and clearly explained what they found -- loose rear suspension hardware and a missing trailing arm nut that could have turned into a serious safety issue. What I appreciated most was Daniel's professionalism. He walked me through everything step by step, showed me exactly what was going on, and answered all my questions in detail. He was calm, knowledgeable, and transparent. He also stayed completely professional and never made negative comments about the original installer -- he simply focused on fixing the issue and making sure my vehicle was safe. They properly re-torqued and secured all the suspension components and performed a full alignment to ensure everything was dialed in. The truck now drives perfectly -- stable, smooth, no more clunking or sway. On top of that, their pricing was very fair and reasonable, especially considering the safety issue they corrected. I especially appreciate Daniel as he worked directly with Dobinsons to get me the right coils for my 100 series Landcruiser's added weight and set me up with their shocks. He also helped me choose a big brake kit, Wildpeak tires, and reminded me about diff breathers I had forgotten. On top of that, he coordinated with Dissent and rushed a spacer install to fix the wobble on my rear swing-out so I could make a camping trip. They also installed my 4.88 gears, a front locker, a better radiator, new SPC UCA ball joints, and even repacked my front wheel bearings. Shoutout to Nathan as well as he has been super helpful coordinating after hours pick up and getting me on my way. Last time I picked up my LC100, I noticed a burnt out brake light and Nathan swapped a new one out for me as I was on my way out. Thanks man! What really stood out was RPM's communication--they always texted me back, even when I was stress-spiraling and double (sometimes triple) texting him like a toxic ex you can't get rid of. I got my Outback lifted by RPM back in June of this year. I was originally extremely happy with the outcome of the lift and service. I took my car back in for a FREE re-torque inspection about 500 miles post install. The owner recommended I did so. I noticed a "clunk" sound in the rear when I first got my car back but assumed it'd go away after I took it back for the re-torque but unfortunately even after the re-torque the sound was still there but not as much. As of 9/5, I had my brake fluid flushed & a tire rotation done by another mechanic. The mechanic informed me RPM didn't secure my rear sway bar bolts after the installation was done. The mechanic went in and secured the bolts and now that clunk sound is 100% gone. Little bummed RPM didn't catch that simple mistake, even during my re-torque appointment. read more

Just like a year ago when I called and asked them to quote my Land Rover for parts installation, and they never came back to me. This time I went in person to asked for a set of coil-overs and control arms installation, which many other shops can quote me within 5 minutes. But this time the quote took them 5 business days and a whole weekend, and still haven't heard them back. Every time I called, they said the same thing, which is the quote will be ready by the end of the day or tomorrow. I have no doubt on their professionalism and I believe the shop was truly busy. Had some work done by RPM April of 2023 so this review has been a long time coming. I went to RPM to upgrade my suspension system on my Tacoma as well as have the rack and pinion replaced. In the time since my visit it just seems that more and more I have noticed that the work done was pretty subpar. The first issue was 3 months after install when I went on my first trail with the new suspension. The problem that occurred was that they installed the remote reservoir of the rear driver side shock over the parking brake cable so when as it rebounded it damaged and knocked the reservoir out of place. I was lucky that it didn't come completely out but was held barely held on by an inch of the clamp it was fastened into place with. I feel like being an off road specialty shop for this to be done is pretty ridiculous. I can only imagine that instead of having somebody with experience work on my truck they had a new guy do it without any experience. When I contacted them to fix it all they did was use some leftover rubber hosing to pad it from the shock and put another clamp on it. After this I was already disappointed with them but I thought maybe this is just part of the off road game so I refrained from writing a negative review. The next issue I had was a few months after that, where I noticed my power steering fluid started running low. I noticed that that was a leak near the hose that connects to the rack and pinion so I called up RPM again and brought the truck by to have them take a look. After a quick inspection they said everything looked fine and nothing was done. I thought nothing of it at the time and hoped maybe it was just part of the process and trusted their work and opinion since they are supposed to be professionals. I was wrong. Fast forward to now 2 years later and my new mechanic, closer to where I live, mentions that I need to have my rack and pinion replaced again since it's leaking and the bushings look worn and dry. I told him that's pretty crazy especially since I had it replaced 2 years ago with genuine Toyota parts where previously the OEM one lasted over 15 years. I then requested some photos and to see what's going on I can see the leaks coming from rack. I now have a feeling that instead of a brand new part they just charged me for a factory part but replaced it with one that was probably just rebuilt and maybe even just used the old bushings. All in all I have really been disappointed with RPM for a long time coming now. I wanted to look for the positives and convince myself I wasn't ripped off but I just can't do that anymore. For what they charge and what I thought their reputation was; I expected better quality of work and for everything to have lasted longer than it did. I cannot recommend them to anyone but I give them 2 stars because they seemed like good guys at the time. If I could have done everything all over again I wish I would have just gone somewhere else. read more

So I just discovered, in addition to not tightening the lock nut, RPM garage didn't center my front axle. I measured my front axle with another shop. From the reference point on the frame and tires, the passenger side was 18.0 inches, and the driver side was 18.5, so I centered it myself. Overall I am disappointed with my experience. read more

I started with an online request for a transmission service quote at like midnight. Next morning I received a quote via text and booked an appointment for later that week. They still answer their phones, which is a rarity these days. Service was outstanding, price was fair, and was out at the time they promised. Booked an alignment before I left for a week or so later. When I called again later to set an appointment I was told that employee quoted me wrong and it would be double the amount. I told him about the first employees quote and was told they would have to call me back. No one had reached out to me so I called back some time later and was told both of the original quotes were wrong and it was going to be around $800. We tried to like this place and give them business. But three times we have left our vehicle and been told we would get a call back that same day to know what's wrong with the car. After t1.5-3 days later and no call backs we have to call them. And multiple times they don't even know what's going on because the person who answered didn't "take" our car in. And now they have to wait for the person whom originally took our car because they don't leave notes of what needed to be done. But the fact that we have to call them every single time after days of not hearing back and they don't even know what is going on is frustrating. You would think they would leave notes so that no matter who is there can look up the information and let the customer know. Or even that days go buy and we won't hear anything until we call. We really wanted to like this place hence we gave them multiple chances and every time the experience has been below what we expected. Also the first two times we still left our car there to get fixed...after we called to see what was the update. It just seems that they always "find" 10 things wrong with our car....and the pricing is always over 1k. So this last time we just took it to another place and they quoted us half what this place was charging us, did the job in a day. Going to keep going to our new place. read more
