Not too many restaurants are an instant hit but Rreal Taco knows how to do things right. It should soon be on Yelps, "Trending hot new business" shortly. A fantastic place will cool decor, great vibe and delicious food. The home made guacamole right at the table was a big hit and was so fresh and delicious and my Fresco Cucumber with Tequila blanco, mint, cucumber juice, agave & lime was amazing, addicting and paired well with the guacamole. Lol I have to say it right here. The best Quesabirria I've ever had. Homemade birria quesadilla (chicken) with cilantro, onions and the consommé on the side was absolutely amazing. This new Mexican restaurant is beautiful inside. The special menu, two tacos, rice and beans for $10 is an excellent value. Ordering fish and carne asada tacos did add an extra $2 each. I enjoyed the carne asada meat which was flavorful. Not a fan of the tortilla. The fish taco was tasty and the sauce flavorful. The cod was delicious. The refried beans were not exactly what I expected. The took the black beans instead of using the normal pinto beans. Tasted good but ... My friend had the pork belly taco and enjoyed it. 4 out of 5. This was mine and my boyfriend's first experience at Rreal Tacos and we for sure plan on coming back. This location is not our home location, but we were in the area and thought we would give it a try. The staff is AMAZING and very attentive. At the Woodstock location, we walked in and were immediately taken upstairs to our table - not expected for how busy they were on this Saturday. They do not have physical menus, but instead, they have QR codes on the corner of every table - and this is also the way you pay for your bill. I personally prefer not having a physical menu for cleanliness purposes. We ordered the queso and chip starter as an appetizer and it was a creamy, runny queso. I ordered the Carne Asada onion and cilantro tacos with flour tortillas and I thought it was very flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the Quesabierra and really enjoyed it. He also ordered a Michelob Ultra and I ordered two house margaritas. The only downside to this restaurant is don't get free chips and salsa, but that is expected with any authentic Mexican street food restaurant. Our servers name was Yani and he was amazing - very attentive and informative about the menu. I am not big on branching out with alcoholic beverages, but I recommend trying one of their soft served alcoholic beverages. I did not order the soft serve, but we sat near the upstairs bar and they looked appetizing! Our total expense was $85 including tip which I believe is completely reasonable! We went to Rreal Tacos in Woodstock for a celebration dinner. There was a large group of us and they sat us at a unique, beautiful table with trees in the middle. At first, I was concerned because the table was quite large, and I knew other parties would be sitting at the table as well, but they kept us separated enough that we felt like we had our own space. The service was excellent. The weight staff was great at explaining the menu and giving ideas of items to order. I absolutely loved the swirl which was a combination of a frozen margarita and frozen sangria. That was a great way to start our evening. Really cute restaurant that was much needed for Woodstock. The wait is crazy right now as it's a fresh & new restaurant. Waited for an hour and 15 mins. You can order drinks at the bar & they'll put them in a Togo cup while you wait. Started with the queso and an order of guacamole. The appetizers were my least favorite. The queso is super watery and has zero taste. The guacamole had to be seasoned with lime and salt at the table. Ordered the pork belly taco, picanha steak taco, and beef birria taco with consume (no the consume does not come with the taco...it's extra!!!) Let's start with my favorite taco - the pork belly taco. It was well seasoned, not too fatty and they give you lots of meat! Thoroughly enjoyed!! I was too stuffed to order another. But highly recommend. The beef birria was my second favorite. I've had better beef birria. It wasn't juicy and tender. Nor was it seasoned to perfection. But it was still good. The consume is about $3 extra. But you must order the consume if you get the beef birria taco. I can't imagine what it would taste like without it. If you enjoy food, tender beef birria, don't expect much. The picanha steak taco was my least favorite. This is my first time trying picanha steak. It was way too fatty for me and I was chewing for days!!!!! My toddler ordered the cheese quesadilla and cilantro rice. Her order came out in 30 seconds. The kids meals come out like a hot & ready pizza. I tried the cilantro rice & it was really good!!! I loved our server!! What a great addition to downtown Woodstock! The interior has a very classy feel. The bar design is particularly nice. Servers are very attentive, and they all help each other out. The teamwork is much appreciated. Their salsas are all flavorful, each one with its own uniqueness. The taco deal ($10 for two with rice & beans) is the best bang for your buck out of all the restaurants downtown. I really like how they season their black beans, but if you like heat mix in one of the salsas; that takes them to a whole 'nother level. Beautiful restaurant. I had my back to most of the restaurant so didn't get many photos but was really pretty. Server was nice and made good recommendations. The salsa was really wonderful, fresh taste and smells an incredible balance of cilantro, tomato and onion. Guacamole was equally satisfying. Perfect texture. Cheese dip was a bit underwhelming. Mango margaritas were pleasant and had a fun rubber ducky. Taco $10 meals are a great value. I had barbacoa and the meat was nice but I wouldn't get this again because at my age fried things don't like me as much as I like them. I ate the meat and cheese and skipped the shell. Lesson learned. My husband had grilled fish tacos. We asked for the Chipotle mayo to be removed and added cilantro lime and they were the best he has had in town. We attended the soft opening of Rreal Tacos in downtown Woodstock tonight, & it was incredibly impressive. I've been to many soft openings, & this was easily one of the smoothest, most efficient, & most delicious ...despite a packed house. Service was impeccable. Our server, Fatima, was fantastic - friendly, attentive, & made sure we had everything we needed without missing a beat. The food came out quickly, at the perfect temperature, & beautifully presented. The drinks were fresh, well-balanced, & just as impressive as the food. They've done a great job renovating the former Rootstock space keeping the charm of the historic building while making it feel brighter, lighter, & more inviting. The greenery & wood accents really elevate the atmosphere. A standout touch: before we left, they gave us a small keepsake - a photo of our family in a "Mexico passport" booklet. Well we did NOT expect that. We walked up to the hostess stand and we were able to get a table in 20 mins after a drink at the bar. Needless to say the pique is real. It was busy! We ordered mojitos and it did not disappoint watching the action flow at the hot line. We had such an amazing experience here. Our server- Duran- was so sweet and attentive. She knew what we need before we had to even ask. The margarita was delicious and we also started the the trio. The guac was so fresh. You can tell this kitchen really cares about what they serve. I love the atmosphere here as well. It is much larger than the midtown and sandy spring locations. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Newly renovated restaurant squeezed patrons into their restaurant without proper HVAC, music blaring and seating more to a table than comfortable. The restaurant was so loud the waitress did the best she could to hear what we ordered and only messed up one order out of the nine people at a six person table who ordered. Additionally, only two restrooms available for a restaurant who was truly at max capacity. Management needs to reevaluate how they take care of their customers going forth. read more

The good: the Texas margaritas were tasty. The food was fine. The app platter of queso, salsa and quac was also fine. None of it was "amazing" but it was reasonably priced. Now the bad, all minor but becomes death by 1000 paper cuts. We were greeted at the door by 6 or seven hostesses, after deciding which was to seat us we were taken to our seat upstairs. Up there were several clusters of 3 or 4 or 5 people. Was this a training night? First cut was being asked to use my phone to scan the QR code for the menu. Please pardon my being an old school Gen-X guy, but this is the hill I die on. After receiving actual menus we ordered the app platter and the margaritas. Then, despite at times 4, 5, even 6 people behind the bar, and 3 to 4 to 5 people constantly standing around within 5-10 feet of our table we had to wait for the drinks. I was almost tempted to just step over to the bar and ask for them. ( our window table was 5 or so feet from the bar) The drinks finally, arrived, again, they were tasty, the chips platter was fine, and the the food itself was fine. My wife ordered the taco combo, two tacos, beans and rice. At $10 it's a relative bargain. Upon completion of our meal, again, despite clusters of people milling around our server was not to be seen, so fine, I'll pay my tab with the QR code. Upon seeing the bill I see we were charged $1.5 up charge for the "steak" taco in her combo. She had the Chicken Birria and the Beef Barbacoa. BEEF BARBACOA is NOT steak. It's beef. I had the PICANHA TACO, that is steak. Beef Barbacoa is not. Then, and again pardon my old schoolness about this, but I was charged a $2 fee to pay via the QR code. Nope. So, I asked for the bill, paid the server via a touch pad, and see all the tip options include the tax in the total. As an aside, having 5-10 people constantly standing around our table was annoying. All of these things individually are not a deal breaker, but once you add the, up, we won't be back. But hey! I'm just that one outlier, every one else seems to love this place and love having phones in hand at all time. Enjoy! read more
