The BEST tacos in town! One of the things I miss most about Chicago is all the taquerias I could choose from all times of the days. Here in Acworth, clearly this is not the case. I've tried all of them. The fancy ones and gas station shops included. Y'all, Taqueria El Don is the best. It's about 30 minutes from home each way, but I don't even care. This is the first place outside of Chicago and Las Vegas that has mulitas. Think taco and quesadilla had a baby. So so delicious. The prices are reasonable and the food is always fresh. Truly a hidden a gem in Acworth/Woodstock.

    Two chicken two steak tacos

Stopped in on a week night! We usually get two chicken and two steak tacos when we visit as well as the Tostada De Camaron! This visit, the meat was a bit dry and the Tostada De Camaron was a bit different than it usually is. The seafood is usually fresh and the perfect hint of lime. The food isn't bad, decent tacos if you're looking for food something fairly quick. Ooo the horchata was really good too!!!

Real Mexican Food! Finally, I found some real Mexican food in Georgia! El Don you, the amazing cooks in the kitchen and those wonderful ladies at the front are all amazing! Woodstock is lucky to have you. The al pastor pork was delicious with the right authentic spices and flavors. They use real cheese and real sauces with actual flavor! The wet burritos were beyond the norm, they are it, they are everything good rolled into a tortilla!!!. They do it right here, no skimping, no waxy nasty queso on everything, which is not authentic. The refried beans are made fresh and burst with the right flavor and texture. You will not find the typical out of a can Georgia fake mexican food here. At El Don, the refried beans melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. The rice is even perfection, yes even the rice which happens to be a big deal for me, boom it's on point. The barbacoa beef tacos are sublime, tender braised beef in Mexican spices made into a taco with cilantro and onions, and you will crave these tacos again and again. The chips and salsa were also delicious. Bottom line, these folks know how to make authentic delicious Mexican Food, and they go above and beyond doing what they love, you can taste the love!

This is Chef ‍ BOYAN's Mexican restaurant recommendation. This is authentic Mexican restaurant. Delicious . Why do some Americans eat at Mexican restaurants that Mexicans and Latinos don't??! Because of their lack of education, as well as common sense! If you are looking for an awesome delicious Mexican restaurant without servers and bs atmosphere.. come to El Don. Try the real Coca-Cola in a bottle that is not only made in Mexico , but it's also still authentic as it's made from pure care sugar! Unlike the canned U.S. version made with GMO corn . Keep it real people!

    Taco plate (+ additional taco)

My friend brought me here and it exceeded all my expectations. The ambience isn't anything spectacular but whos here for that anyways? I ordered the taco plate which comes with 2 tacos and rice and beans and an additional taco coming out to be under $8. The tacos are on the smaller side, but you get so much meat that is flavorful! And the tortillas are probably the best I've had yet. This is probably the first place I've ever gone to where the tacos AND rice AND beans are all fantastic. The beans were nice and creamy and not over or under salted. The food comes out extremely fast. I probably waited less than 5 minutes. Now here's the real kicker, I went back for two more tacos. At $1.18 a taco you can't beat that. They also have a table of extras including limes, three sauces and a pico de Gallo mix. I wasn't a fan of the red sauce since it was Smokey. The green thicker sauce had a kick so if you don't like heat, avoid this. My favorite was the salsa verde.

Definitely set up for a god time. The service is excellent. Our server, Abbie, was a gem. Super friendly and prompt. She did an incredible job upselling us as well. Lol. We went in on a Monday evening and learned they do $5 house margaritas on Mondays. Something I can absolutely get down with! The margarita was solid, especially for the price. For an addition $3 you can add an extra shot which I did and it made it all the better, still at a great price at $8. Chips and salsa came out literally as we were sat. Extremely quick. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They had a nice light salting on them. The salsa tasted fresh and was garnish with fresh cilantro which gave it a nice pop. The salsa itself was a little bland, however. Definitely not spicy at all which is fine but I would have preferred a little more spice. I ordered the Quesadilla Birra. It was plated beautifully with a side of consommé. Overall they were just okay. The meat was nicely cooked, tender but it was just bland. Consommé was the same, bland. I likely wouldn't order this dish again. My partner did the shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sautéed onions and peppers were also cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back. I would like to give more of the menu a chance and the daily specials are hard to beat.

Much more open, better vibe and there is also an outdoor bar. We were greeted quickly by a very friendly waitress and given menus. We ordered drinks and they came out pretty quick. Throughout the time we spent for dinner we were checked on frequently not only by our waitress but also by other staff passing by. The food was what you would expect from an Americanized Mexican restaurant. Decent size portions that were fair to the menu pricing. Everything was prepared well and tasted fresh. I very much enjoyed the salsa that came out right away. It actually had a decent amount of heat to it. By far some of the better salsa I've had at a Mexican restaurant. We also ordered margaritas and they were excellent. Be warned, the skinny margarita is a whopping $6 more than the standard house marg making it $16! Not sure why but it is and you've been warned. I will say, it was damn good though. But for a $6 savings I would just get the regular. IG: danny_fuelstherun

I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good.
