LOL Each year I have my blood work done at the U of R laboratory on S. Clinton avenue, Brighton. There are many other places to go but I just favor this spot, my Doctors office is right across the street. From making your appointment, to check-in and parking, everything is a simple process. Yes, my veins are small but I've never had someone not be able to get blood from my veins. Not only could this woman not get my vein, but other people who were leaving when I was coming in were complaining about the same thing. I went back a second time and was unfortunately greeted by the same woman. I asked to see a different technician who excelled at getting small veins and she said they were all the same and would not allow me to see a different tech so I had to leave. They do not have a receptionist or any sort of management to talk to, so you are at the mercy of whoever opens the door to call you in. Where is management???

There are designated spots to the left when you pull in the parking lot that are clearly marked for Covid-19 testing. Pull in one of the parking spots and someone comes to your car within minutes. Have your mask on with your health insurance card and ID ready. There's no charge for the test. Test results are usually back within 24-48 hours. Mine were back in 26 hours. Go online on their website to check your results. The staff was very friendly and asked if I had any questions. Very fast and efficient process!

I had to get some blood work done pretty unexpectedly, which made it even worse! The girl that helped me here was amazing!!! I should have gotten her name, but unfortunately I was too busy being petrified. To add to my fear, the doctor told me that some of the tests may be really expensive, so I was now worried that I had to have needles poked in me, and pay thousands of dollars!! She was so nice, and she called the billing department for me to find out the costs of the tests before we did them. That actually took WAY longer than actually taking my blood did, and calling took about 5 minutes at most. She had the labels on the vials and looked at my arms, found my vein, poked me, kept talking to me the whole time, and the whole thing was done in like a minute. I couldn't believe it! If you have to get blood work done, I absolutely recommend coming here. I didn't need to wait long to be taken, and she had me in and out in no time, and getting my blood taken couldn't have been any easier! I almost won't be scared if I have to go back. Well, yes I will be, but you know what I mean. By the way, this is an ACM lab. I was looking for a sign that said ACM, and it does not. It says Rochester Regional Health Laboratories on the sign.

It said its location was suite 340. Also wrong. But I was told if I accessed the website I could get up-to-date info on labs in the area. Wrong again. When I accessed the website ( on my laptop), it had addresses for 3 labs: Albion, Alexander Park, and Batavia. That was it. No more. Next I called the number provided me, 922-5227, they said they couldn't explain the website problems, but assured me that the lab I had gone to had hours beginning at 7. I told them that was not true. As I was just there! They also had wrong address. Probably used same flyer I'd been given. V8-0418. We spend a lot of money for insurance here. I hope that the lab results are more accurate than is the paperwork. The phlebotomist, Emma, was professional and knowledgeable. I only wish the rest of your operation was as professional.
