I explored the GAF but the GAF certified contractor quotes were very high. I used Certainteed website to find contractors in my area. I called up few contractores and one of them was Eliseo from Allied roofing. After multiple discussions with him and looking at their track record I decided to go with Allied roofing. I have considered the various factors(years in business, the current market (Price), Select ShingleMaster title, reviews on various websites etc) in my decision making. The hedge overall was trimmed well but the corner was over-trimmed because they started there with a ladder that wasn't tall enough. (I came out to stop them before they over-trimmed the entire hedge) For the weed removal, after they left, I spent 3 hours removing the weeds they missed. I suppose I shouldn't have paid them or let them leave until all the weeds are removed, but based on existing reviews I trusted that they would have that attention to detail. They also removed some plants that I wanted to keep. Based on that, I'm left with the impression that they aren't very good at determining what a weed is. Nice guys, but for $750, I expected better.
