Rancho Swim Lessons is by far the best place we could have ever taken our daughter to learn how to swim. Since birth, she was deathly afraid of the water. She would not get into a pool no matter how much we tried. By the age of 5-years-old we knew for safety purposes that it was time to get her lessons. However, we also knew that the lessons needed to be with someone she could trust. After searching and inquiring around to various places, I came across Renee's Facebook page and after viewing all of the positive reviews, I knew it would be the best fit for our daughter. The first day of lessons our daughter was terrified, but Renee's gentle guidance, nurturing nature, and informative feedback eased her anxiety and fears enough to where our daughter allowed a bond of trust to develop with Renee. Throughout the first 2-week swim session our daughters emotions fluctuated as she had to learn how to slowly lose the security of her pool vest while still maintaining trust in Renee and the rest of the swim coaches. By our daughters third week of lessons she was confidently swimming the entire lap of Renee's pool, on her own, and without her vest. She was jumping in the deep-end doing cannon balls and diving. She was getting out of the pool smiling, not crying. Our daughter spent just over a year under the wings of Renee and her wonderful team; molding her into the amazing swimmer she is today. Now, at the age of 7-years-old, just over two years since that first day she stepped into Renee's pool, our daughter is competing in swim meets and winning awards. She proudly tells everyone that Renee turned her into a Mermaid, and I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend Rancho Swim Lessons. Your child will get much more from the experience then just learning to swim. Renee not only genuinely cares about each and every child she teaches but she takes the time to fully educate them on what they are learning, why they are learning it, how they need to do it, and the reason water safety is so important. We are so grateful for RSL and all it has become for our family. After trying a few different local swim providers and having friend after friend recommend RSL, I cannot say enough about Rene and her team. All the recommendations by friends have been 100% spot on and then some! In a world where marketing and the actual product don't always match up, Rene and her team are true to their word and execute their mission and values in a refreshing, thorough, intentional way. I feel like I can finally exhale.... After what felt like being at a standstill for years and feeling disappointed in the lack of service and options, my son (8 with special needs) started swimming within 4 sessions with Emma (instructor). He finally feels safe, seen, heard and valued. Emma is one of the most intentional, fun, caring swim teachers. I love the environment she has created for my son on his journey and the ways she celebrates his wins no matter how small. She cheers him forward, challenges him to grow and sees him for who he is instead of another child, another session, another day as a way to earn a living, but rather cultivates, empowers and comes alongside in ways that are lacking in youth activities today. We love the environment they cultivate not only for the child, but the whole family. We look forward to attending each week and always leave excited to come back for more! Here there is no time wasted singing songs or splashing water. You will get your moneys worth and your child will learn to swim! We have been to a number of different swim schools, including private lessons and nowhere has come close to RSL. In 2 months, my 6 year old who could not swim went from crying if water ran down his face in the shower to not just swimming but jumping off the diving board into 12ft and swimming across with ease. My 4 year old completed beginners swim in just 2 months and in intermediate can swim across the pool multiple times. The instructors have all been great and consistent regardless who you get. Rene and her crew are the absolute best. My kids were able to swim comfortably in less than a month. My daughter was almost two and the first thing she was taught was not to be scared, and get to the side of the pool to hold on. My son was like Velcro anytime I took him in the pool. Rene took his fear and changed it into a fun game that he loved. I can't thank her enough for giving this Mom a huge peace of mind whenever we were near water. My youngest son was very apprehensive about going to swim lessons. He cried the first few days but the staff knew how to work through it with him. My kids gained confidence and learned water safety in a very comfortable setting. The staff really knows how to work with kids and challenge them to learn new skills. My kids can now both swim across the length of the pool independently and are more confident in the water. It is a great atmosphere where you feel like family. I can't say enough positive things about Rene (swim teacher), and her helpers. We went to them for 3 solid summers before we moved out of state (booo). Rene is so patient, upbeat, kind and passionate about teaching kids, big and little, how to swim, and water safety! She seriously is amazing! I took my nephew for swimming lessons here at RSL Aquatics in the summer of 2025, and it was such a wonderful experience! He's a 7-year-old who absolutely loves the water, even though he's a bit nervous about putting his face in it. I have had my daughter in swim lessons with this company for 5 sessions now and counting! Love the instructors, and so does my 3yr old! Rene is Amazing!! Our first child had swimming lessons over 12 years ago and she is now 16 and still remembers Rene. We had our Twin girls working with Rene and her team and they just love them! We've now done two sessions with our toddler and have really enjoyed the instructors and atmosphere at RSL. Pools, bathrooms and seating areas are very clean and maintained well.
