After returning the watches something like 4 trips for each one they are still not keeping accurate time. I had to just wait and come by when I thought they may have been done with the watches because they would not call me when they were ready. I went there thinking an old watch repair place could fix an old watch. Apparently, they cannot. After spending a few hundred dollars there I am looking for another repair shop for both watches. The store is on the second floor of an office building. There are a couple of display cases with some wonderful pieces but this is the kind of place you go when you want something really special custom created just for you. It's clear they are passionate about their craft and are honored to be a part of our special celebrations. They worked within my tight deadline and even stayed late so I could pick it up after work. I'm so pleased with the engraving but even more excited about having someone in the neighborhood I can trust. I picked up one ring and dropped another off... my wedding ring to be resized. It took 4 months for them to realize they could not properly service a watch I brought in and made no effort to reach out and notify me that was the case. Upon retrieving the watch they could not service, I was given the watch back with the caseback not affixed. Please do not bring your watches here. Go somewhere that treats customers with even just a modicum of decency. I brought in a friend's watch and was initially told it needed a routine servicing, which would take 6-8 weeks. I heard nothing for nearly 3 months and had to call back for an update, being told it would take "approximately 2 more weeks" and that they would call me back with an update. A month later with no contact, I had to call back AGAIN for an update. This time, I was told they were having issues sourcing a part and would call me back the next day for an update. Unsurprisingly, there was no call back and I had to call back YET AGAIN for an update just to be told the part could not be sourced and they could not properly service the watch. I'm beginning to think if I did not repeatedly call back to push them for updates, they would have never reached out and would have ultimately sold the watch, as the signs in their shop indicate that would be the case. Horrendous business practices.

I called Orpes Jewelry on a Sunday around 4:45pm, when other area jewelers were closing. They was very friendly over the phone, and let me know that they would be there until 8:30! The prices they quoted me over the phone were reasonable and accurate. The jewelry store is located in one of the freestanding kiosks near the Marq'e movie theater and the IMPROV comedy club. Willy and Amparo were wonderful. Willy treated my new watch with such care! He has a gift for attention to detail that I do not! Both of them chatted with me, and had truly lovely personalities. The new battery cost $10, but was guaranteed to be high quality and last at least one year. He gave me a dated and signed receipt, and insisted that if the battery stopped within the year, to bring it back to him. He also resized the watch for $5. Once the watch started up, it seemed like it wasn't keeping proper time (one and was tilted/bent slightly and was pushing another). While he had the watch face off, he also fixed this. I was in and out in maybe 15-20 minutes, and really had a lovely time chatting with the two proprietors. For $15, I couldn't be happier.
