I don't normally do reviews, but, I feel I need to. I gave them two windup watches (1960ish) for repair. They told me they needed to get parts that aren't generic parts and I was good with that. They called me when they said they were ready. After returning the watches something like 4 trips for each one they are still not keeping accurate time. I had to just wait and come by when I thought they may have been done with the watches because they would not call me when they were ready. I went there thinking an old watch repair place could fix an old watch. Apparently, they cannot. After spending a few hundred dollars there I am looking for another repair shop for both watches. I went in for new batteries in two watches and to remove links on 2 watches. They saw me browsing while I thought they were busy with a customer and asked if they could help. I told them my needs, and they took care of my requests in 20 minutes tops. While I waited, I was listening to some awesome music and browsing around the shop. They had a great deal on a beautiful vintage watch, and I just had to have it. The shop is family owned and seems like honest people. It is somewhat hidden on the corner of Main Street and Anita St, but well worth the search. They replaced the battery of my electronic watch on the spot, and then later proved a full maintenance service for my mechanical watch (a 2 day wait for this overhaul). Both services were performed competently and professionally. Besides performing watch servicing and jewelry repair they also have an interesting variety of coins, watch bracelets, jewelry, memorabilia, etc. for sale. John, James, and Mary (siblings, and the children of the original business owners) are all courteous, helpful, and generous with their advice and time. I really like this guy, he is warm, friendly, very knowledgeable. I took a very expensive black forest cuckoo clock to him, which was probably five years old, and no longer ran. He charge me $70 to clean it and tune it, however, it still won't work. Problem is, he left next day for Europe vacation for 3 months. He promised to make it right when he returns. John kept me apprised of the delivery date and texted me when the band came into the shop. He recommended stronger pins for the watch band and explained to me why it was necessary to change those out given the strength and the characteristics of the heavy duty watch band. A very friendly family owned business and a wonderful place for watch and jewelry repairs or to purchase watches or jewelry. They are offering a dying art of watch and jewelry repair in this throwaway world. My son destroyed a G-shock watch while trying to replace a broken strap. Other jewelry stores I called said it would not be worth trying to fix it. Wheeler Watch Clinic was willing to take a look at it. They were able to fix it by drilling a new hole on the watch and placing a new longer spring bar to hold the new strap and they saved the watch. They only accept cash but the price was amazing ($27 for the repair and a battery change on another watch). I would highly recommend Wheeler Watch Clinic for all watch and jewelry repairs, they are knowledgeable, highly skilled and charge a very fair price for their work. read more

I don't want to overstate any disappointment here, but truthfully I was disappointed. The owner was nice, but very disorganized. The entire shop is a mess. My repair took quite a bit longer than I expected or wanted, but forgiving that due to some special circumstances, I felt like I needed to call every day to check up on them and the progress. Never once did I get a call from them. Each day I got a "I'm still workin on it, call me back tomorrow." When I finally got sick of the daily babysitting chore, I was told "i'll put a note on my desk and check every day and I promise to call when its done." I let a week pass before finally calling again, only to be told "yeah it's done, you can come get it." UGH. However, at least it was very affordable! Frustrating. I wish them the best. Surely they do good work for some people, and I imagine they're great on quick battery swaps and adjustments. I was looking for a good relationship to form as I have many more expensive watches that will need service in the future. Sadly this wont be where I take them. read more

Very nice and helpful. Will only repair what needs to be repaired unlike other places I went to and especially manufacturers. They want to replace or rework everything. Now he'll suggest things but only what's needed. He can take a while as he finds parts and you need to call him for updates but it's certainly not poor service. Recommend! read more

Easy to find, easy to park as long as you're a street perpendicular to Main St. of course. Just needed to change a watch battery for a nicer, more formal watch of mine, which was $16.24 total. Definitely worth the price for the speed of service (less than 6 minutes) and friendliness of the owner.
