They did a great job! Great environment and great people and did a great job with my hair

I am not one to leave terrible reviews, but I had a less than stellar experience here this past Saturday 7/26/25. At the start of the appointment my stylist repeatedly made faces at my requests, which made me un-easy, though I tried to stay open minded throughout the appointment. Unfortunately, the appointment started 15 minutes late and ran over by more than two hours. During that time, the stylist also took another client, and later admitted that part of my treatment - which should've been done during the foiling process - was skipped because that client arrived while I was still processing. I requested light brown - caramel highlights, but instead received dark chocolate brown low lights with a blue-black color layered over the top. My scalp is tinted blue and was told that the highlights appeared darker because I was "over-toned". I was also told the color should hopefully wash out over time. I was shown the results outdoors with a hand mirror because the highlights were too hard to see indoors - yet even in sunlight they were barely visible. I asked for a price adjustment, as I was charged $84/hr and the appointment went significantly over the scheduled time. I was also charged an additional $54 for a haircut that took less than 15 min to complete. While I was given the slight adjustment, I still paid $364 in total, even after the adjustment. I still tipped, as the stylist spent a lot of time on my hair and I could tell she was trying to achieve a difficult color correction. I've gone to many stylists over the years and understand the challenge of lifting a box black dye to blonde or even light brown for highlights. I felt she made a strong effort in that regard and wanted to acknowledge the work she put in - even though the end result didn't reflect what I asked for. I was offered a future appointment to correct the highlight color, but was told I'd have to pay another $100+ for the stylists mistake. I've decided to cancel the appointment I'd made for September. I regret booking it in the first place, but I already felt uneasy asking for the price adjustment and didn't want to make things more uncomfortable - especially since they stayed late for the appointment. I would ask for a refund or partial refund, but fear I wouldn't get it as I could hear them whispering when I asked for the price adjustment. Definitely scheduling elsewhere to have what was done to my hair corrected. read more

Not happy! I took my teen to Rebecca to get balayage highlights and a cut with reference photos only to have her hair come out with chunky orange highlights. When I told them she was unhappy (on the verge of tears) the stylist gave me attitude only to admit later she didn't use the correct toner once her boss got involved. She attempted to fix it and add low lights to break up the chunky bits and use a different toner (Her bosses suggestion). While trying to fix it she left to cut someone else's hair, only to come back and wash her hair and not even drying it to see if her fix worked. After a total of 5 hours in the salon my daughter left with wet, still orange chunky highlights and we cut our losses because it was an obvious waste of time trying to get her hair fixed by them! read more

I purchased a gift certificate for my wife to get her hair done by her stylist here. The stylist left over intolerable work conditions and does not work there any more. Lauren, the owner flatly refused to refund the money on the gift certificate, even though my wife's stylist no longer works there. Told me my wife could either buy product from them or another service, but not refundable. It does not say that anywhere on the gift certificate and no one told me that when I purchased it. Strongly recommend against this place. On top of it all, it is VERY pricey even before inflation started up. For what it's worth, the same stylist does my hair and we followed her to the new salon. Apparently this place has lost a number of their long-term valuable employees and stylists over new and ridiculous work rules. read more

I thought long and hard about whether to review this place. Then I looked at the way they handle negative reviews (not well - blaming the customer every time.) I think that speaks volumes in and of itself. The massage was the LEAST relaxing experience I have ever had. My bad for telling the masseuse why I needed self care, I suppose. The receptionist and stylist could not have cared less. Serious apathy. I felt like I was keeping them from something more important. Maybe mid-winter blahs on their part - but com'n. If you're at work, at least be professional. But I neither felt welcome, nor like my business mattered. Oh - and she was a conspiracy theorist for double bonus points. Unprofessional. The stylist never even gave me a hand mirror to look at the back of my hair. By the time she was almost done, I wanted out of that place anyway. I can fix the hair someplace where they at least have books for me to look at and show them what I want. I suppose that's my fault too. I do not recommend this place or any of it's varied services. Great place, until the day of my appointment, they call me to let me know my stylist for 5-6 years has left them and isn't working here. Why wait until the day of? Then, I had to reschedule 2 weeks later with someone else, who didn't do a good job. I went back 5 weeks later to the same person to see if he'd get it right or do better. NOPE. Such a terrible haircut. I asked for Dioare's last name, but no it's against your policy to not give out names. Bullshit. It's so I don't leave your business and go elsewhere. Very disappointing to see the management act like this and the owner herself. Don't go here, too much drama and they don't care about the customer, just money. You don't belong in Fort Collins as a business owner acting like that. read more

This is probably the best salon in Fort Collins. I've lived here a while and I've been searching for that salon gem...this is it. I got a simple haircut (by Patricia) today and it's like my stylist could read my mind. She was fast, professional and her level of skill was impressive. Her prices were a little pricy only because she is so good. (about $55)... But she guaranteed her work and I left with one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Thanks Patricia and Buzz & Bliss! I essentially paid to be disrespected and ignored, the entire experience was disappointing. Lauren (somehow an owner of the salon) just talked bad about customers with another employee and complained about her job the whole time and then left me in the chair, with what was supposed to be highlights, processing and didn't check on them once for over an hour. Then when it was time to wash out the girl rushed through it and kept saying she had to go check on someone else (MID MY APPT), then when it was totally done being rinsed I was left on the sink with soaked hair leaning back for over half an hour while she went and did a hair cut. THEN she had the audacity to complain that my hair took too long to blow dry so I just told her not to worry about it and left with wet hair, highlights must've been the same color as my natural hair because they were unnoticeable, paid for a haircut, a treatment and 3 different colors, I received a horrible experience, no haircut, no treatment and 1 color that shows up as more of a clearish color than a blondish color, and was disrespected like I've never before experienced. No exaggerating y'all, just go somewhere else to begin with because in the end you will have to anyways. read more

Had a five star massage treatment and would highly recommend John as a massage therapist. One of my favorite places to get a massage. The nail service is average and the hair salon was probably two stars just because the lady I had was not friendly at all and didn't want to listen to what I wanted. Would recommend this salon for massages, just not hair. Also it's a small detail- but multiple times I've come here the "fresh" flowers they have out are partially dead and make the sitting area a little smelly. Would be nice if they were just replaced with artificial ones! read more

I've had a heck of a time finding someone that can do hair in Fort Collins/Loveland/Windsor area. Kimberly did a great job! I took in some pictures of the color I was looking for and she was totally able to match it! Plus unlike anyone else I have been to here she made it look like the color grew out of my head that way instead of looking like I already had 5 weeks of outgrowth! She has a different sort of technique but never fear it absolutely works. Kimberly gave me a wonderful cut too AND she didn't gripe and moan about my super baby fine hair. Oh and about the salon - in my opinion it is not so much about the salon as it is the stylist but this place is nice, modern, and comfortable - the shampoo bowls are awesome because they don't feel like they are trying to rip your head off. The owner and the front desk gal I talked to were all very friendly and accommodating. The only problem is that they use Loreal color and product - I did not know this until I got there - Loreal still tests on animals so I can't go here again. read more

I can only speak for the man's experience. I have gotten my hair cut here twice now and been very happy. The men's section is in a separate area in the front with its own door, which does very nicely to separate the smells and sounds of the rest of the "woman's" salon. They do have small TVs next to each cutting station for watching during the haircut. The first time they had the news and the second time they had baseball. (Unfortunately, the channel couldn't be changed, but it still is better than nothing.) I thought the concept of a hot towel on the face when getting your hair washed was silly, but it really is quite relaxing and enjoyable. I rate it very high in my hair cutting experiences and will be there every 5 weeks. read more

This salon and spa is wonderful! Located in a quiet but convenient shop on S Mason behind REI, this place is calming and friendly from the moment you enter. I was very impressed with the service from the get go. My hair was cut by Katie and she was very attentive, friendly and easy to talk to about my hair cut ideas. She was also very helpful when I had product questions and I loved the gift bag I got as I left! Great salon. I mainly come in for my hair but have gotten a massage and pedicure here once or twice too. It's convenient and everyone is really nice. I absolutely love Kristen and will not let anyone else cut my hair. She is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with figuring out what will work with your hair and what will not. She helped me ease my way into hair color and even suggested doing highlights in a way that would minimize the need for touch ups - essential since I really like a low maintenance cut. I went to Buzz and Bliss for my first facial and Microdermabrasion. I saw Ashley Schott, one of their esthetician. She was absolutely amazing. She made sure I was comfortable in their wrap and robe, then started with their complimentary foot soak before the service. They have little marbles at the bottom of the bowl that felt amazing on my feet!! Ashley was very knowledgeable and educational. She told me about the products she was using and what it would do for my skin. She ended the service with a shoulder rub. She has an excellent touch you can't get anywhere else! Buzz & Bliss is a salon that guys can enjoy going to. They have a separate room for men that has TVs and is most importantly separate. You need to make an appointment and I would suggest Maggie. She has a great attention to detail and the little things make a huge difference! For example placing a warm towel on your neck before using a straight razor to get the freshest look. The rest of the staff is very professional and the salon offers tons of services, but I primarily go here for haircuts. read more

Do not go! I was going and paying the 'monthly membership rate' to get massage and discount on other services. This was OK but I was not a fan of the 'additional charge' if you wanted deep tissue work?? My breaking point was when my massage therapist left but the management did not even have the decency to let her tell us herself nor did they disclose this information. Not only did we not know but I called to schedule my appointment and they said she was completely booked out for a month. That was odd I thought. My massage therapist is amazing but to be completely booked? Turns out my therapist had left and they wouldn't let her tell her clients nor did they tell her clients so I was charged two months in a row for services I could not even use as my massage therapist was gone. I have been coming here to have my hair done (highlights and cut) for almost two years now. I have seen three different stylists and have been extremely happy with all of them. My main stylist is Christi, who has done an amazing job highlighting and styling. I received so many compliments on my shorter hair with new fringe after my latest appointment. Cannot recommend her enough! Once again...no, TWICE again, at my home-away-from-home... (...which has become even more so since I started training for yet another marathon over the past few weeks...) On Friday, 7/20, John took my ITBs (you fellow runners-who-pronate know what I mean; for everyone else, the IlioTibial Band stretches along the outer side of each thigh connecting hip to knee, and get deeply irritated by those of us who pronate: run on the insides of our feet) back 6+ years to their happy-peaceful place before my first marathon. After an intense sports-massage session wherein he worked my ITBs to the point that I was gritting my teeth AND asking for more; as always he was wonderfully responsive to how I was feeling and did what I asked, grimaces (at the time!) aside...finishing up with a mellow face-and-scalp massage (unless it absolutely isn't part of the treatment, I always want face and scalp. I think Buzz & Bliss even has it on what I cheerfully refer to as my "chart", as that's what it looks like with the amount of especially massage but also facial time there...), he told me to be extra careful getting up before he left the room as he'd worked my legs--ITBs, but also the standard sports-muscle set, as I am cheerfully beginning to think of everything between my lower back and my tippy-toes--pretty intensely. I scooted off of the table and did one of my standard ITB stretches and felt... Nothing. For the first time in over six years, since I first started messing them up training for my first marathon ever, I didn't feel the slight pain-tearing-pulling feeling I always do at the attachment points on my knees OR at my hips as I usually do. It wasn't like he worked on them, it was like he REPLACED them. I was in awe...and told him so...and professionally courteous as always he thanked me and reminded me I might be sore the next day. I wasn't. At all. On Saturday I still felt like somehow my ITBs were surgically stripped and replaced. It was awesome! Truly! John took on mythical proportions as far as as MY experience with CMTs is concerned. Nobody has ever done ANYTHING like that for my ITBs, no matter how hard they've tried. And then on Sunday I undertook an alpine hike with a friend going from 10,200ft to 13,430ft and being chased down, quite literally, by thunderstorm...after thunderstorm...after thunderstorm. So all the great work John did on my legs? Totaled, in one fell swoop of a crazy afternoon hike in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Called up Buzz & Bliss Monday and managed to book a ninety-minute with John. As I hobbled up the stairs behind him I was trying to figure out what to even say I needed done. We started talking once I changed and while I'd thought up, perhaps, deep tissue...?, light/moderate pressure, it turned out, was more than enough in some extremely tender areas so he headed me towards more relaxation/myofascial release work. As usual, he was right--I don't know why I was thinking deep tissue, truly; I think it's just branded into my brain from marathon training--and started gently guiding my body back into line. I still need to bolt down the water and keep icing as necessary and doing Epsom salt baths--all things John has ALSO been kindly reminding me of lately, which I need, as I have no other companion but my cat in my apartment and she's lousy at reminders--but as always, I left Buzz & Bliss walking like a normal human being but a little taller, feeling a little better, my stride re-normalizing, my posture readjusting to the phenomenal treatment I just received at the hands of John: massage therapist, occasional humorist and compassionate teacher extraordinaire. And, I'd be a total jerk if I didn't give a shout-out to Erin, Brandy, Lynn...each and every one of the girls up front...these lovely ladies are, yes, my Buzz & Bliss scheduling BFFs but also always lovely, warm, cheerful and charming, a major bright spot in an otherwise generally chaotic and today-would-have-been-extraordinarily-PAINFUL workday...as they are every time I call & come in, hobbling, limping, able to speak or not. These wonderfully warm greeters, schedulers, assistants, salon/spa-gurus-as-necessary speak brilliantly to the aptitude of the professionals with whom I've worked at this lovely little retreat in the heart of Fort Collins. read more

I lost my stylist after 16 Years and was looking (and looking) for a new stylist. With much trepidation, I finally chose Buzz and Bliss. I could not be any happier. Ashley spent time talking with me to understand what I liked as far as cuts and color. We also discussed how my hair grows and styling challenges I've had in the past. My color is excellent. From my first consult with Kimberly at Buzz and Bliss until I walked out of the salon on the morning of my wedding day, I could not have been more pleased with my experience. The communication Kimberly had with me discussing my ideas, examples, and photos was consistent and engaging during the entire process. Kimberly is patient and very skilled in her technique and creativity. On the day of, Beth did my make-up. She worked at the same time as Kimberly in a professional and relaxed manner. Beth answered all of my questions regarding the product she used and made sure that the look that I wanted to have for my wedding day was precisely what I received. The salon was extremely accommodating with my many appointments and my wedding party on the day of. I never had my hair or make-up done professionally, but when/if I ever do need a salon again I will go to Buzz and Bliss because of their attention to detail and care for their clientele. I have had many massages over the years from a variety of well qualified therapists and rolfers. This was truly the most exceptional one that I have ever had. If you are hoping to get a relaxing service with pampering....DON'T go here. The spas service has totally fallen off the side of the earth. Calling 3 weeks in advance and you can't make an appointment to have more than one spa service together. I have tried numerous times to have a "spa" day and the service is never available and when I THOUGHT I had an appointment they never had it all scheduled and the next time they call me 2 hours before my appointment to tell me they have no one available for the services I wanted. AND DON'T EVER THINK THAT THE OWNER WILL RETURN YOUR CALL....have left probably 6 messages over the last couple years for her to return my call and have never received a call back from her or anyone!!! I will not set foot in that establish ever again!!! read more
