Dr. Gildenhorn was amazing he explained everything to me. Beyond the procedure I have to say his personality is amazing. He's funny and direct and really cares You can tell he is super busy but I would expect that from a great dentist. Thanks to him I felt comfortable and appreciated. His assistant Maria was a doll. She completely made me feel great and she was very personable. Her smile made me feel great to have her around. She's beautiful inside and out. The procedure unfortunately did not help but it was perfectly done. I have no complaints or regrets. It's just one of those moments where luck wasn't on my side. Since I was indeed in dire pain I came back to him for a check up. The X-ray showed nothing but we decided on a root canal because of the excruciating pain. He apologized over and over and said he didn't like to see me in pain so he asked to give me an appt to Dr. Tran the specialist for a root canal ASAP. I only had to wait a day for her to be in office. Oh man I cannot express enough gratitude to her and her assistant Jessica. I myself am not your average person. I like to show love and appreciation to people. My own way of making the world a better place one person at a time. And they were very accommodating to me. They even played my favorite music while I had my procedure to calm me down and give me a more comfortable experience. I'd also like to take a moment to thank the front desk staff members I met. I was in a lot of pain and my anxiety was at an all-time high. The first time I called I spoke with Tracey and she was absolutely amazing. I'm a Medicaid patient, and I know that sometimes comes with judgment and potentially an unwillingness to treat patients. Not here! Tracey listened to my story and was able to get me in. She was exceedingly kind and empathetic. When I arrived, the office is nice and clean looking and easy to access. Dr Montané spent a lot of time with me going over my x-rays and what my current problems were. He described the various options that I had and the pros and cons. He took his time with me. I never felt rushed, and I felt as if all of my questions were answered thoroughly. When it came time to inject Novacaine, he has the most gentle hand ever. I've now been there twice, and both times I've just had such an unbelievably amazing experience. He and his staff are wonderful and if I could give more than five stars, I would. If you are someone like me who has a lot of anxiety with dental work, this is definitely the place you want to be. The work is top-notch and the entire staff truly cares. When Dr Gilbert moved from Montgomery Village to the Darnestown area, there was no doubt that I would follow him despite it being a bit of a drive. He has referred me to great specialists (endodontists, orthodontists). When my husband and I began seeing their dentists more than two years ago, the practice seemed to…read moretake care of their patients and look out for the patients' financial as well as their dental needs. However, a recent incident showed us that when they make a mistake, they are happy to make us pay for it. We purchased a dental insurance policy for 2024 to cover anticipated costs. My husband's care was in three phases, and first two went smoothly earlier in 2024. On October 31, 2024, he had an impression taken for an occlusal guard. However, the dentist didn't send the impression to the manufacturer or file the claim in November or December while we still had dental coverage. Nor did they communicate with us about any of this until my husband finally called them. The delay led to a second impression being required in January, 2025, and my husband coming out with a bill for $1130.70 instead of the $195.30 that should have been the total charge if the claim had been filed while we had insurance in 2024. Their lack of communication was disappointing. My husband and I have spoken to three persons of authority there, including the billing and office managers, and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their negligence is unacceptable.
