One therapist from this office actually tried to take a call while she was at a wedding - never said anything ahead of time or prior to session and tried to get me off the phone with a check in and kept asking if I was hungover. - Meaning I will still be charged for the session but we only just checkin in for 5 minutes. Unprofessional no quality in sessions many times. Child always crying in background during session and therapist constantly moving around as if she was having a casual call. No quality. Another therapist will show up 10 minutes late and not acknowledge or apology for being late. Last I checked a 45 minute session losing 10 minutes of talk time is 25% of the session you paid for. Lastly when you contact the office to explain why you need another therapist Barbara will say well "it only happened that one time." Sorry, I was not aware we should allow or sessions that we pay for to develop continuously before we speak up. Terrible. I'd give this place zero stars if Yelp would allow. Wouldn't expect this from a business that is supposed to be providing Support and help to those who need it. Then, she dumped me as a patient under the guise of not being able to fit me in as a patient for many months, likely because she had no idea how to help me. As if that was not enough, the office over charges your credit card for more than the allowable co-payments, which is actually highly illegal in New York State. It's called the "no surprise medical bills act" and when I explained to the office manager they can't tack on extra charges to my credit card over the contracted copayment charge, she got nasty and said she'll "get back to me" and never did.
