Dr. Coykendall is a master at his work, - IGNORE the review posted by an annoyed mask wearer 3…read moreyears ago, this office staff is the best, and even called after my surgery to check up, (if there is no one in the office, what was the problem?), you can tell that writer is a full-time complainer, the type of old person who sits in his robe in a lawn chair, and yells at the cars going by, "HEY, slow down! There are children here!" you know the type, having worked in the medical field, they are easy to spot!
Dr. Coykendall is the best surgeon I've known for his specialty, and I was an EFR, and worked with doctors for a few years.
I waited a year, did not want surgery, my first, thought it would be OK, wore the internet sold brace, but had an Inguinal hernia, and it only gets worse. After the protrusions could not be pushed back in, and my bowel movements were affected went to Dr. C. ALL he does is Hernias, not the "jack of all surgeries" other doctors, and I wanted someone who ONLY did hernias, not gastric bypasses, and weight loss stuff, or all other surgeries as well, ask every Dr. "how many of these do you do?", first always.
We scheduled, the surgery although frightening to a newbie like me went extremely well, no opioids after the first day, healing went fine, excellent fast recovery, and due to Dr. C. recommendations the use of the best mesh, not what you'll get in the ER where you will eventually end up, with Dr. Krappytolitz from Pakistan, or India, or just unlucky and happened to be on duty when you called 911, went into ER doing the surgery. Also, if you wait, your intestines can tangle, cause blockage, and other bad stuff, and you could die, or have other serious issues affecting you for your life.
Anyway, if you have a hernia, go and get an appraisal from Dr. C. schedule at your convenience, take control, don't wait until the hernia controls your actions.
