Fish taco on soft corn tortilla

First visit and was in a hurry, so I ordered the house specialty, which is the fish taco. It was light, crispy, hot, and tasty. And under $6! Service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant was very clean. We will definitely be back. Looking forward to trying the variety of salsas next time.

Enjoy eating here. It's a walk up and order so it's pretty quick and always fresh and yummy. Several choices of Mexican flair type dishes. Rice bowls, fish tacos, drinks and beer. There is a little salsa bar to get just what spiciness you'd like. Large area inside to sit and enjoy. Staff is always friendly. Don't have one of these places where I live anymore so I enjoy visiting when I can.

Food is always good and fresh with lots of options to pick from. Very easy to order on app and order is always ready on time. Service is prompt and convenient location. Ambiance is nice as it's usually not too crowded or busy.

Quick service fast food spot that uses fresh ingredients. Extra for the chips and beans but worth it when the salsa bar has choices and those beans are cooked perfectly. Family friendly.

We love this chain and this location was great. When my husband and I were first dating, we would go to the location near my place. We always enjoyed the food. We moved to Texas two years ago and were back in Arizona visiting family over a long weekend. My husband had mentioned a couple of times wanting to try to go to a Rubio's while in town. The food is always fresh and delicious. I always get the California Bowl with chicken. It is filling and the ingredients are well balanced. Something I get the verde salsa, sometimes the red. Both are wonderful and complimentary to the other ingredients. My husband always gets the shrimp burrito. He always enjoys it. I tend to steal some of his chips. The location is very clean. The staff is pleasant and the prep time is reasonable. There are a lot of other very good looking items on the menu, but we tend to stick with the same thing because it is so good, filling, and satisfying. You can have your dog with you on the patio.

Dinner for 11 last night including several very young children. Everyone found something on the menu they wanted (minor miracle), and enjoyed their meal. I've been coming here since I moved to Tucson in 2009. We stretched the kitchen's capabilities by our very large order (over $100 for 11 people, which still is pretty reasonable). We came here because we had brought 3 of our guests here during their previous visit, and they enjoyed it so much they wanted to return. I normally get the fish tacos, but this time splurged on the Especial version (see photo below). They were pretty good, but I think because our order was so large they sat under a warmer for a while and the fish was not quite as crispy as I have experienced in prior visits. Still tasted wonderful. My wife got a steak burrito (see photo). It could have been a little warmer, again probably because of the large order, but it still tasted excellent. She only could eat about half if it, very filling, and it was my duty to finish it off, a challenge I completed with pleasure. Everyone else in our party really enjoyed their meals. Since our ages ranged from 64 to 1 yo, it was nice that everyone could find something that appealed to them. The menu is pretty extensive. I get some of the negative reviews - this is not an authentic Mexican taco stand like you would see on Tucson's South side serving cabeza tacos. It is good food, well-prepared with good flavors but somewhat Americanized, nice salsa bar (I like the chipotle), and clean (but small) seating. If you sit outside, you will enjoy perhaps the best view of Catalinas in town!

The food was delicious, and having a gluten allergy, they were very accommodating. They did take a bit longer to get our food out, but I'm sure that comes with having fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and we will be going back. Plenty of seating and the staff was wearing masks.

Teaspoon is one of the best overall restaurants in Tucson…read more I've been here a few times over the last year or so. It has never disappointed in service, quality or taste. (well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

This might be first come first served but I am not totally sure. The food is a really good spread of options. Pancakes, german pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict(s) monte cristo, omelets, croque madame, country chicken with biscuits and sausage gravy, chilaquiles con pollo, avocado toast, savory crepe, and even a breakfast pizza. Oh and they offer a few skillet options too-southwest, loaded baked potato, and sausage and peppers skillet. So many options!! I can't speak too much for lunch but I did see burgers on the menu. Not too helpful in that arena sorry. The eggs Benedict with ham was awesome. Side of potatoes with a bit of all seasoning and a side salad with awesome light dressing comes with it. The dutch baby was also great. A german pancake served savory with sausage. Huge portion. There's some outdoor seating; the bar is right by the entrance and the rest is a fairly spacious dining room. The host and my server were very nice and attentive. The burger was super juicy and I was surprised by how well the bun held up, nothing disintegrated and the burger toppings did not fall out with each bite. The garlic fries were covered in garlic, the potatoes were fried well and were not oily or soggy. I did order the cookie butter banana pie to go and should have taken a picture of it prior to driving off because when I got home, the pie had fallen and melted a bit. The flavors of caramel and butter were a little bit stronger than the banana, but it wasn't too rich and I paired it with some coffee, it was all really good. I would order all of this again and can see why Truland is popular.

Our waiter was kind, but the service was a bit inconsistent throughout the meal. The outdoor seating is a nice option, especially on a beautiful evening, though the cushions could definitely use some refreshing and cleaning. Now, food-wise, it was a mixed experience. My husband ordered the Baja Shrimp Sandwich, which felt more like an appetizer than a full entrée. I had a salad with added salmon--it was fresh and well-prepared, and the salmon itself was cooked perfectly, but the portion of salmon was tiny and didn't feel worth the added cost. My teenager enjoyed the Early Riser burger with a side salad. The truffle fries were solid, but the side salad felt overpriced for what it was. Overall, the experience just didn't quite match the price point. I really wanted to like it more, and it's honestly surprising to me that, with the same ownership as Graze, the experience felt so different.

A warm greeting up entering, always a plus. It wasn't all that busy for a Saturday afternoon, I'm thinking we missed the lunch rush and the pregame final four rush. Perfect timing. We started with the Pulled pork/mac and cheese balls. Delicious pulled pork mixed with Mac and cheese rolled in cribs and deep fried to a golden brown served on top of cheese sauce and green onion garnish. What a special treat perfect opening appetizer. My son and I both had the three meat plate with pulled pork, brisket and beef sausage. It was served with an outstanding tangy coleslaw, a pretty darn good piece of cornbread and I had the baked beans which were perfectly sweet although very slightly dry. The pulled pork was flavorful, juicy and melted in your mouth. Paired with the tangy bbq sauce it was a treat that was hard to beat. The beef sausage, most people would have said was burnt, but let me tell you, that is how the ends of sausage should be. Great beefy flavor, well seasoned. The beef brisket had ONE good quality, it was juicy, after that is where it went completely down hill. ZERO flavor, none, it was extremely thin, almost 50/50 meat to fat cap ratio. No smoke flavor, no seasoning, nothing. Almost like it was boiled to tenderness. This is where this review went from 5 stars to 4. Brisket is meant to be heavily seasoned and put in the smoker. All in all Fork and Fire still puts out great food although be prepared to pay. Over $100 for lunch for 2 with tip. But with beef what it is today it's getting harder and harder to find good deals. A- Happy eating
