I don't normally review the chain restaurants unless really good or really bad. This Olive Garden was really really good !!! We only get to Tucson once or twice a year. We have several family members we like to visit with and everyone is busy. We stayed at Olive Garden last night like we were family, seriously. We were there a solid three hours from appetizer & drinks to coffee and desert. Our waitress was "Tikki" and she was absolutely the best. She is the reason I felt compelled to review & give 5 Stars. The food was good, and what we expect from Olive Garden. The service was 5 Stars Plus, Tikki was patient, attentive and super friendly. She provided everything we asked for & more. She truly made our visit special and we all appreciate it, especially us out of towners. We felt like family !!! read more

Olive Garden can be hit or miss for me but this time was definitely a hit! My boyfriend and I shared the ziti fritta appetizer which I never had before but would definitely order again. For our main course we both had the steak Gorgonzola Alfredo pasta. The dish has a ton of flavor and is exactly what you want for alfredo pasta. The balsamic drizzle on top adds a great flavor profile. I wish pasta didn't make us gain weight as I would love to eat this pasta all the time if I could. Service was on point and overall the place wasn't too busy so we had a good time. We will be back for that pasta dish! read more

This review is mainly for the stellar service we received from Amber! We made a spontaneous decision to have dinner here after hearing about the never ending pasta bowls. We were seated right away and were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. The ambiance was nice and perfect for a casual meal. Food- we both got the never ending pasta bowls which included unlimited salad or soup, and breadsticks. The soups were delicious- similar to how I remembered them. The pastas were delicious and super filling. Our drinks were pretty sweet though. Huge shoutout to Amber our waitress. She was phenomenal. Very personable, friendly, and professional. She anticipated our next moves - refilling the pasta and appetizers. She also got us a free dessert for our birthday celebration! Stopped on a Saturday evening for dinner and with a full parking lot and line out the door, we were surprised that we were seated within 10 minutes! The restaurant was clean and our waitress was amazing! We used the tabletop terminal to order an appetizer- that ended up taking a long time to come out. To start off the food was Amazing! The only thing that really made my experience "okay" was our server Bianca. Maybe she was just having a bad day.. but To start off she didn't introduce herself to us, got upset when we were looking at our menus didn't refill my husbands cup of water when he had asked.. we had asked for soup to go and she gives us the regular bowls instead of placing them in the to-go bowls.. maybe only specific servers do that.. but I will definitely come back. As a vegetarian, I can't help it, but be a sucker for Olive Garden's all you can eat soup and salad. I usually like to go at lunch. I get a whopping salad with extra veggies and dressing on the side. Sometimes I order the soup, but other times I order spaghetti with marinara. I usually end up taking home the spaghetti because I really just love the salad most. I didn't know this until recently, but Olive Garden also has ranch dressing. So now I order a side of ranch as well. I always like to have Parmesan grated on my salad. I can never go wrong with this lunch especially when they're tomatoes are fresh and firm. read more

I went here with a friend of mine tonight, and overall did enjoy the experience. We tried the new spicy meat sauce on some pasta, it was good, flavorful, and the woman who brought our food out was very friendly and polite. However, the server, Aliyah, seemed very cold and impersonal? I don't want to say rude, because it's not like she was judgmental, she just made no effort to build a connection with her table. When we first sat down, she came over, immediately asked us if we wanted drinks, and then what we wanted to order for food, despite us having just sat down less than 2 minutes prior. After we said we weren't sure, she seemed slightly annoyed, and then came back again a few minutes later with our drinks, and again asked us what we wanted. I would like to specify that she wasn't asking if we were ready to put in appetizers or entrees, rather she assumed that we had to have been ready to order. After she got our appetizers, she immediately asked us what we wanted for main courses, which we ordered at that time. Overall, her service didn't feel welcoming, but the food was good, and we would most likely return, as this is not our typical experience at any Olive Garden location. read more

Olive Garden is just the boujee place to grab a dinner for date night with some good fresh bread and gluttonous pasta. Hostess were a little like zombies no greeting, goodbye, or small talk. They do not disappoint about a star server the gentlemen gave us the best service I had in a long time. As for the food I got tour of Italy, as indecisive as I am it was the perfect choice with BIG portions. I will say chicken was a little fatty and almost chewy but everything was perfect as can be. Pasta was well sauced and overall a dish I would recommend. Bonus we even got fresh bread stick straight out of the oven. Good but not Great Honestly we love going to Olive Garden. Always look forward to the salad and breadsticks, seconds on salad always. My partner generally always orders th chicken Parmesan and is always very happy. I on the other hand will jump around the menu trying different dishes, (never in a red sauce, in 20 yrs I haven't found one anywhere that compares to mine). Last visit I had the shrimp and chicken piccata, and specifically asked for the shrimp to be well done. My dish arrived with (what I consider) undercooked translucent shrimp. This is a problem whenever I order shrimp here, so I usually don't. They offered to remake it but opted simply for the fettuccini Alfredo, always good. Maybe I should stop experimenting? read more

Every visit, Olive Garden consistently serves up delicious, good food no matter what I order and always provides friendly, efficient servers. That deserves 5 stars in my book. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I've enjoyed OG in the past but not today. I ordered the tour of Italy with a salad. The breadsticks were hard and now in the yard for the birds. My Salad had huge pieces of lettuce that appeared to have been frozen and then thawed out. You could see through the lettuce and it was limp. The chicken parm was dry and too salty. The sauce and cheese on top could not save it. I'm taking another long break from OG . Maybe 3 will be the charm but it will be a long time before I give it another chance. read more

Are you kidding me?!? We order here at least once a week- you never know what to expect from either of their Tucson locations but tonight took the cake. Ordered to-go at 5:30 hoping to avoid long waits. They say 25 min so we show up at 6 and still have to wait quite awhile. Get the order home (25 min away) to realize the chefs decided to add scallops to my shrimp Alfredo for whatever reason???!! Sadly, I'm horribly allergic to scallops. Call to complain- on hold 15 min- hang up, call back- FINALLY get a manager on the phone and she says to come back and they will replace the entire order for our trouble- give her 20 minutes. We show up half hour later- have to wait an ADDITIONAL 45 min at the restaurant (while yes watching everyone else get their orders). Like are you kidding?! I am so angry right now we will never return here. It is now 8pm and we started this venture at 5:30. I am floored and COMPLETELY SPEECHLESS. It seems every single time we come here we have problems but this one is the icing on the cake. NEVER AGAIN OLIVE GARDEN!!!!!! There are plenty of local places here that will treat their customers with respect and courtesy. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a party of 23 people and everyone's orders were messed up. There was a person in our party that is vegan and one of the servers acted like it was such an inconvenience. My friend asked if there was butter on the zoodles and she responded what "You don't like this either?" and we all immediately felt uncomfortable. My order was messed up 3 times. I talked to the manager and he didn't take me seriously. I won't be returning. So sad that such a large party can't get the best service or business appreciation. Caitlyn (I think that was her name) took great care of us. It's never easy dining with kids/babies and she was terrific with us. The food is ALWAYS consistently amazing. I l get the chx and shrimp carbonara (even though I try to be bold and venture out, but hey, you like what you like). Tonight I attended a Yelp event at this place and I have to admit I didn't have huge hopes as I figured a chain restaurant is well, just a chain restaurant. Aggghhh.....I couldn't have been more wrong! They took us on a taste of the Mediterranean and let me tell you , it was freaking fabulous. We tried 5 courses, along with wine pairings and I'm not sure which was my favorite. None of them lasted 3 seconds in front of me. To make the night even better, the wait staff was to notch. We were on that side of town so we decided on Olive Garden.. Seated fairly quickly, but sat for about 5 minutes before the waitress walking by quickly said I'll be right with you. She came back to take our drink order and we said we are ready to order as well.. she wasn't wanting that and you could tell. Gave her our orders and kept seeing her all over the place but still haven't received our drinks. She brought the salad and the wife said what about our drinks, she looked confused and ran away. Another server brought us our drinks. Food arrived and was typical Olive Garden, portions are getting smaller and always over cooked. Once we were done it's like the waitress disappeared.. didn't see her anywhere for a long time. Finally she shows up and boxed our leftovers. Helped with the credit card machine and walked away.. So so disappointed. Even though Olive Garden is a chain and most of the food is actually prepared offsite it is usually a decent place for "Italian" food. This was nowhere close to the case tonight. We usually really enjoy the bread sticks, salad and chicken gnocchi soup to start. Salad is salad, and unless you are some kind of special, not really hard to mess up. The gnocchi soup was cold, and the waiter brought 2 breadsticks stating that they were the last 2 but would bring more when they were done making them.The two that were brought out could have been used for pretzel sticks, they were that hard. Then the new batch, while hot, were missing the signature butter and garlic. On to the main course..My son and I both ordered the giant meatball and spaghetti. Noodles were cooked nicely, but that sauce...where have a I tasted the sauce before? Ohhh yeah out of a jar! OK I get it, mass prepared and sealed in bags, frozen and shipped to the restaurant, but they could at least add some fresh ingredients to it, like onion and mushroom maybe? On to the "giant meatball". About 4-5 inches in diameter. Looked appealing and at the first couple of bites was appealing. But then something just wasnt right, something odd, something out of the norm. The further into the meatball it seemed to get slimy, slightly sticky, hard to swallow without drinking something. Almost to the point of not being able to get it down at all. My son said the same thing. This wasnt a meat ball, it was a bread ball with some meat added for a binder. You could taste the flour of the bread, undercooked with a slightly raw center. It was hard to get down because the inside was not cooked thoroughly. If it wasnt for the usually delicious bread sticks I would not go here. I will pay a little more and stick to the authentic Italian family owned ristorante up the road. read more

It's conveniently located off of a main drag in Tucson.  It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful.  And my goodness it's an Olive Garden,  wouldn't have been my 1st choice. I like small independent restaurants but it's what the young people who I was with wanted,  It's kind of a generational thing, many young people are not used to small independently owned neighborhood restaurants that used to be the norm.  Young people have grown up with the mall and corporate fast food chains,  not just fast food Burger or pizza joints either.   There is some hope, with some street truck food being reinvented, but I digress.  The service was fast and efficient and the food came quickly. Still ok food and reasonably priced after all these years. I enjoyed the angel hair pasta with shrimp like I always do. The other members of the party enjoyed their pasta dishes as well.  Big portions, fresh salad and bread sticks.  Like I said it's an Olive Garden, I don't really want to know the source of their ingredients, It's not heirloom tomatoes or organic tomatoes organic herbs and spices, (what you're great grandparent called food), real butter on the bread or let alone where the chicken (It's rumored to be canned) and shrimp have come from or Olive oil which they don't use.  But people won't pay more money for better food and smaller portions its not the American way. So you're getting what you pay for,  Which is a ton sodium and fat in everything that you eat including salads.  Unfortunately most working families cannot afford the higher end better ingredient type restaurants.   Obviously people vote with their feet and they like it. What I can rate in a very good way was the quality of service. And the food was hot, just remember where you are. read more

I think they must have been very understaffed, but there comes a point where we can no longer be patient. Waters were not refilled, drinks took 20 minutes to arrive from time of order.
