I explained to Steve my situation and they took the time to carefully diagnose the issue. The mechanic working on my car showed me exactly what was wrong and showed me what exactly he was doing to get the job done. He explained to me what the parts were and how they worked on the vehicle. I don't know, maybe I've had poor customer service in the past, but having a mechanic show you what's wrong right there on your vehicle is excellent service. Its transparency with these sort of things that go a long way with keeping clientele. I reccomend these guys if you're local in the area.

Of course we had our suspicions, so we had it towed from there to our local mechanic in Rockland County. Turns out it was just the alternator after all. $550 for a new alternator with labor included. These guys are either the most stupid, incompetent mechanics on earth or shameless crooks who take advantage of people they think don't know any better. So either way I hope I can pay them back with a warning to you all. To mechanics have a obligation to be fair, honest and ethical. I truly hope I hurt their business. What the did was despicable. He was nice enough to let me leave it and he got to it within a couple of hours. He showed me that the back brake pads needed to be replaced instead of just telling me. It was explained to me in detail what was happening and why with the brakes. In my opinion this a very honest and stand up place of business. I had a fairly large rusted area on my quarter panel. They made an excellent job in welding in a patch, contouring the lines and paint job. They did more complex work on a hood and bumper, too. Later, I had an opportunity to examine their work not only from outside, but from inside, too (as I was doing some other unrelated maintenance and modifications). The crew is skilled and professional, and the result work of assembly/disassembly, aligning, etc. all shows that (not just looking from outside). Sam, the owner, is very flexible and accommodating to make sure the customer is always happy with the work. Andrew, his son, is sharp with knowledge, with a great personality, both are great to talk to and make a well balanced team. On top of that, their pricing is reasonable and competitive. While searching for a good body shop, I found few other places with similar pricing, and some with ridiculous pricing. I picked this place over 2 other ones I was considering, mainly because I was able to see their work in the shop (I can tell a lot from how people do their work), and in part also because Andrew made me feel confident, explaining what they'll need to do to fix everything, which showed how well he knows the trade (Sam was out that first day, but later I saw he has a lifetime of experience in their trade). I'd certainly recommend them to anyone. And I will definitely be going back when I need more body work, knowing I can rely on their great work and a fair price. :)

I was initially nervous since there were not many reviews to look over, but from the photos and him having all the right answers to support the quality of his work and materials I decided to take a chance and give him a shot. I am extremely content with my decision, Vimal was able to get my repair done quickly, was able to work around my schedule for drop of and pick up times and communicated with me every step of the way. He truly went above and beyond, after cleaning off the area he noticed a few additional small scratches that were disguised by all the dirt and salt and took care of them free of charge! The one downside I will say as a young woman, the area the shop is in felt a little sketchy walking to at night, so if traveling by train like I was maybe spend a few bucks on an uber for the last stretch. Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about the entire service beginning to end. He was able to help me make the best of a bad situation and I will certainly be recommending him to others and using him if I ever need service in the future.
