Once passed back they have their teeth cleaned and get a dental check up. At our initial visit my 4 year old son had decay and was going to need sedation for his visit. I was very skeptical about the procedure but the Dr was very patient in explaining everything that was going to happen during his visit. For his treatment visit he was brought back alone ( I wasn't sure who was more nervous me or him) but I received text message updates during his visit and he did great! He came out with great prizes and He was excited to come back!!! He told me , he got to play with superheros, watched Finding Dory and it didn't hurt!! A few months ago my 3 year old needed to get treatment with sedation and I knew he was in the best hands. We had another great experience! And my 3 yr old is also excited to go back! Thank you Dr. Ibarra and all of Houston Pediatric Dentistry Team for making this such an amazing experience, not only for my little ones but for myself!!!!

Instead of taking the time to answer my questions, she seemed impatient and eager to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. As a parent calling a pediatric dental office, I expected a more understanding and supportive interaction, especially during a busy morning start-of-the-week time. I brought my son in to get a space maintainer taken off and they charged my insurance for a cleaning and X-rays, which he never received a cleaning just the x rays. Fast forward to a couple months later I scheduled to get his teeth cleaned for his routine cleaning and was told I would have to pay out of pocket for his cleaning plus X-rays because it had not been 6 months since his last cleaning, I paid it and proceeded with his dental work that needed to get done. The day I scheduled his appointment I paid a deposit and was told they would bill my insurance and I would be responsible for the remaining balance before they would even do the work on him. Day of appointment I paid the remaining balance I owed. A few months later I received a bill in the mail from collections saying I owed them almost $400. I went up to the office to get them to explain where the mistake was and how I owed them more money when I had already paid in full for the work that was done on my child. They acted as if they couldn't figure out where the balance was coming from. So I asked them to print it out and brought it home with me and looked over it. After looking over it I see charges that should have been wrote-offs or paid by my insurance. So I went back up to the office to talk with the accounts manager she was on lunch so I told the front office lady I would be back to speak with her. When I walked back in the office there was six ladies in there all smiling and looking at me, you could tell they were all talking about me, I walked up and the front desk lady said that is her while laughing. the accounts manager was very rude and also couldn't figure out where I was owing them money she said a check I received from insurance for a complete different child should have went towards paying them back, which I don't agree with because his account was over paid by a lot.. there was serval write-offs that I was still being charged and when I brought it to her attention she caught and attitude with me and made up some bullshit excuse about how it was credited... it was not, it was clearly charged to my account instead. Needless to say, I told them I would not be paying them more money since I had already gave them thousands of my hard earned money and walked out..

I called the Airway Dentist office and Friendswood and they tried getting me an appointment that day, but we scheduled it a couple days later due to my work schedule. From front desk, to checkout, to physician, and dental assistants/hygienist.. everyone is so kind, efficient, and explains everything very well. Both physicians I've met really sat down and took their time making sure I understood everything. I've had my tooth fixed, a cleaning, desensitizer, new retainers, and so much more and they have made my whole experience and multiple appointments amazing. The office is also so clean, and they had a little welcome sign that said "Welcome Ashley". The Airway Dentist will now be my home office.

Billing practice is concerning. Everything is billed under the dentist owner even though a…read moredifferent dentist performed the entire procedure. When I asked about it, they said that's standard practice. Not sure if that's true for dental billing but it's 100% fraudulent for medical especially since the billing provider never even saw the patient. I also had to pay out of pocket for my crown because the office did not submit the notes to insurance and didn't inform me until it was past timely filing. Super incompetent, it would have been paid if they submitted the medical notes.
