We went in for a pedicure. I asked fir a female as did my friend. She got a female and a 1.5 hour fabulous pedicure that we were quoted $55.00. I waited for 45 minutes got a man I asked not to have as he always smells like cigarettes. Does not wear gloves. I am writing this review to give advice to all nail salons. The advice is to listen to your customer and do what they want! This is not the first time this has happened. I have powder pink and white nails. When getting a new set all the old powder should be soaked off. Well, the technician was leaving a layer of the old on. I asked her to remove it all and she nodded and continued. When she began moving on to the next step and it still wasn't completely removed I asked again more specifically. She replied " I know how I do it". I should have left then but I did not. I now have a set of thick, chunky nails that look terrible. I will keep looking for a good nail place. When I went in on a Sunday, they were moderately busy. I should have left, but my husband wanted a pedicure, so I got a fill and asked to have my nails shorter. Not only were my nails cut down to short, they were not the same shape as when I came in. They were too worried about anyone leaving, and tried to work on everyone, doing terrible work!! Lisa, the owner, is a phenomenal nail tech! She has been doing my nails on and off for over 10 years. Whenever I need a good gel manicure, she is my go to. Her attention to detail is what sets her apart from others. She doesn't rush through the appointment. And she does a great job with shaping and polishing. I'm pretty picky when it comes to getting my nails done, but I'm always satisfied when I go to her. Her prices are very reasonable too! I pay $35 for a gel manicure. Ive been here before and it wasn't bad but this time it was horrendous... i got a mani pedi.. I wanted white gel polish and one glittery champagne.. i got Christmas red polish... then when when it came to my nails the lady began to file off the old acrylic then had me put my hands into polish removal.. which is normal.. but then walked away.. she didn't come back... Another man then took over after i sat there for 30+ min... he used a nail extension to pry off the acrylic and destroyed my actual nails.. he cut me a couple times with the drill and put polish remover on it afterwards.. over all it took 3+ hours Although the nails don't look bad and he actually did what i asked.. my nails were sore and painful afterwards.. worse than I've ever dealt with They charged me $98 and then asked me for a second separate tip for the other lady.. the mani and pedi don't even match! read more

Even though they only had a 3 star review, we decided to give it a try. There are only 15 reviews, so to be fair we didn't rule it out, and it was 1/2 mile from where we were staying. We had 1 full mani/pedi, one mani, and 1 pedi between the 3 of us. Place is clean. Staff is pleasant. A little pressure in the upsell which I am not a fan of. My mom was pressured into a gel manicure when she just wanted a polish change. They kept asking her until she finally relented. I just wanted a basic pedicure and they badgered me into the step up. Not cool. Very uncomfortable- how many times do we have to say NO!! Won't be going back. Plenty in the area to choose from. Usually trust the YELP review, but since there were so few reviews, we took a chance. Met up with a woman later at our condominium complex who recognized us from being in the salon and was not at all happy with her experience either. While there, I showed the nail tech the Yelp app and that they had a low rating but that we came anyway. She downloaded the app but still messed up my pedi and got nail polish all over me toes. Ugh. This place used to be my favorite but they seem to have difficulty getting keeping staff. The last couple times I have been in, the new staff are speaking in Spanish to each other or on their phones and ignoring patrons. Beware they charge you 3% to use your credit card. They pass the cost of doing business onto your bill. When questioned they said "new system if you don't want to pay fee pay by cash". I've seen this salon wedged between Winn Dixie and Altavilla for a looong time. I decided to give them a shot. I am so very happy that I did! I opened the door to a sweet voice thanking me for coming in, and then asked what services I was interested in. I told her and was quoted an extremely fair price. I had my fingers and toes done to classic country music that I grew up listening to. It was a great experience. The owners/employees were all very sweet and truly understand the customer service business. I am excited to go back and having fun making my hands, and feet look amazing. Unlike most salons, this one hasn't changed hands dozens of times. The same people have owned it for 15 years. Talk about sadly disappointing! of All the mail salons I've ever gone in where do I begin! My long time friend of 30 plus years who goes here all the time & recommends this place was even astounded how we were treated (even with an appointment!) The same package, yet both girls had very different ways of doing it & very different results! To top matters off let's take phone calls & texts in the middle of a clients session!! come on!! really!!?? Then, here's the kicker the owner pulls both girls off & proceeds to finish both our pedicures up 1/2 Assed! @ the end of mine! she takes an Emory board & scuffs the ends of mine up!! The girls, NOT the actual managers are amazing! best service I have ever had. My gel French nails and regular nail polish for my toes lasted for 6 to weeks! My issue are the managers. I over heard the girls talk about the managers not giving them their tips. They give them about $10.00 a day, saying that is all they got for a day. I myself am a good tipper. My niece and I made appointments for 2pm for pedi's for us and her 6 yr old daughter together. We arrived on time and finally got two chairs by 2:20 and the third together by 2:25. They could have seated us sooner, separately, but the point was that it was a family event and we wanted to be next to each other. My niece and I both chose the deluxe pedi which included leg massage and scrub. We are very satisfied with the end result of the polish job we all got, however my niece's technician hurried through her job. My pedi started about 10 minutes after my niece's did, but hers was over 35 minutes before mine was, not including the extra 10 minutes for a special design I asked for. I had three leg ribs and two towel wraps. Perhaps my technician was new and went over and above? I don't know, but the tech who did my niece's finished a second customer on the other side of me before I was finished!! They deducted $5 from the $40 charge for the Deluxe she ordered, but she left disappointed. She's pregnant and really could have used more attention. All were very nice and pleasant, especially the tech who did the 6 year old's pedi and fingernails. Not sure if we will be return customers. read more

Not giving 5 stars mainly because of the reason that they do not sanitize their instruments. Otherwise it would have been a 5. I got my nails done almost 2 weeks ago, my gel manicure is still intact and still looks great. But like I said they unfortunately don't practice the best sanitation. When cutting my cuticles, the lady did not open a new sterilized pack, she didn't even have the trimmers in a pack or anything. She pulled them from a drawer, didn't clean them or anything, did her thing then put them right back in the drawer, also did not clean them when she was done cutting my cuticles!! This has the potential to be someone's MAJOR medical issue. I was also not pleased at how much they try to up sell you! In my 30-40 minutes there i was asked 2x if I wanted my eyebrows done, 4x if I wanted a pedicure. My mom had come with me too and they asked her 3x if she wanted gel even after she had kindly declined all previous attempts. read more

As a guy it's often uncomfortable coming into these places. Always feel out of place where there are 6 women, 7 manicurists, and me :) Usually being eyeballed by the other clients as if it's weird to want to keep my feet in nice condition. Plus many manicurists think they can skimp on the service a bit. But the staff of Ruby Nails treated me extremely well and did an excellent pedicure for a very reasonable price. I personally loved Ruby Nails, I am moving to Naples and I needed to find a nail spot near the house. I was a walk in and the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile. I had a pedicure done and gel nails and I can honestly say it was one of the best "regular" nail salon I have ever been to! My nail lady, Icy was so sweet and amazing. I am going to 100% come back monthly because of her once I move here. She took very good care of my pedicure, I have ingrown nails and she was very gentle trying to cut my nails and cuticle, my pedicure looks beautiful! We then moved to do my gel nails and she did an amazing job too! I love how she cut my cuticles, it made my nails look beautiful! I am very thankful for her and can't wait to see her next month!!! Well, I was there for a regular Mani-Pedi which I was advised by the manger at the front desk the cost $40 and I was assigned to one of the technicians she was very talkative and try to sell me the dip powder acrylic nails instead of the regular manicure but politely said no. She went on and on about why I should get the dip powder while she continued working on my foot until it gets to a point to remove the dead skin under my foot and she asked if I wanted to remove that - I told her that was the reason I was there and then she said well I will have to charge you for the $5 more for each of them because a regular pedicure does not include this. Can anyone explain to me how all change that now a regular pedicure doesn't include removing the dead skin under your feet. The manager looked at my like "whatever" when I expressed my concern. I don't recommend this place and I hope it doesn't get more paid reviews on Facebook that misleads people to them. read more

We had an appt. at 12:30 for 3 pedicures and 2 manicures. They didn't start with me until 1pm. We left there with 2 horrible pedicures (one polish is awful and other lady took 5 minutes tops), one manicure and one decent pedicure. They were running late and a bunch of walk ins so my lady said she didn't have time up do my manicure even though I made an appt.!! Just an awful experience for $111! I made a yelp to make this review! I waited 30 minutes in a pedicure chair before being taken care of. The water got COLD. The price for a BASIC pedicure is ridiculous and not worth it!!! Then getting my manicure: She kept talking on her phone throughout my entire sit. I wouldn't have cared if she didn't stop painting my nails so she could answer the phone and call the person back and forth! They kept hanging up and then calling again with each other? It was annoying and extended my time there. She also cut my nails way too short even after asking her beforehand to keep the length!!!! She cut skin off and made me bleed on two fingers.
