Hey! I'm on disability, so my take out $ are so important to me. This Ruby Tuesday has never failed. I have tried almost everything! My fav is the ribeye, I've had it at other chain restaurants, but Ruby's as the best quality and chefs. Tonight I had a coupon for buy one adult entree get one free. We got the ribeye. So yummy medium rare with the double mash potatoes and paid extra for a side salad! They have world class ranch dressing. We also got the 8oz sirloin with hickory bourbon sauce with a 1/2 side of hickory bourbon sauce. My sides were grilled zucchini and broccoli. All cook perfectly. The sirloin could have been tough but it was TENDER! The ribs suck off the bone good. The veggies were not over cooked, I love my broccoli with a bite. The volume of food was huge. I ate 1/2 my meal... well a little more than... lol! I 100 % recommend the Culpeper Ruby Tuesday's. Go... eat.. enjoy! Last thing the staff was stellar from the young woman whom took my order at the bar to the young man that ran out in the rain TWICE to bring the food and change. On November 10, 2025, I placed an online order for the catfish meal at Ruby Tuesday's. This was not my first time ordering this item--in fact, I've dined here several times and have always received a fresh, well-portioned, properly prepared meal. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was the complete opposite. When I arrived to pick up my order, I immediately noticed that the portion size of the catfish was shockingly small--thin, uneven pieces that looked nothing like what I had previously been served. The presentation was unacceptable. I asked to speak with a manager right away. Johnathan and Debbie came to speak with me. They insisted that "this is how the meal is served." I respectfully disagreed and explained that I have eaten this exact dish multiple times, and it has never been served in such poor quality or portion size. A customer sitting at the bar even spoke up and confirmed my concern, stating, "That is not how they serve the catfish. That lady deserves a refund." My information was taken down, and Johnathan personally assured me that a refund would be issued within three business days. I left giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. However, after a full week with no refund, I called back. Instead of professionalism, I was met with stuttering, avoidance, and a claim from Johnathan that he never said he would issue a refund--despite his clear promise at the time. I have attached the photo I took that day. Look at the portion and presentation--would anyone find this acceptable to sell to paying customers? This experience was extremely disappointing--not only because of the poor quality of the food, but because of the lack of honesty and accountability from management. However, portions were extremely small and overpriced: ribs came with about a dozen fries, salad was small and had a tiny 4oz cup of dressing, cheesecake had no strawberry sauce.... Our server was John (Jonathan). He was very attentive and friendly. My steak was undercooked. He was quick to rectify the situation. When he brought the steak back, it was a bit dry. That location happened to be out of A1 Steak Sauce. He was very diligent in finding a substitution. I feel like he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was a good one. My husband, kiddo and I went out to Ruby Tuesday of culpeper. (Our first mistake) We all got the salad bar. I found this dead beetle in my salad after having eating a plate. I wanted to vomit . My husband got the manager. Her name was Amanda. She only comped my salad. I told him we are NOT paying for any of our food. We all got salad and god knows what else was dead in there. I told the manager that we won't be paying. She said "oh you just had the ONE bug." Excuse me! Wow really. ONE bug? Does this make it ok? She had an attitude about us not wanting to pay. She still kept the drinks on our check so we paid for those. My husband told her she should be worried about changing out the salad bar. People were steady coming in the restaurant. I ordered Chicken Carbonara. It was pretty good and creamy. The bread stick was tough and was a bit of a crunch to chew on. My wife ordered the bake potato and zucchini. She returned the zucchini because of it covered in oil. I also ordered us a slice of cheese cake for dessert. I wanted the pumpkin one but they were out I wanted to really try that one. No. Just no. Ruby Tuesday has 2 things you can order that you can't really get in restaurant and they are both disgusting. Over priced piles of crap.like there's a certain amount of leeway I'm willing to give places in terms of quality becuse of covid.. But not like this. Captains boil. Let's talk this first. The stuff is literally caked in the seasoning but the actual meat of the crab has no flavor... It's all on the shell... How is that even possible? And there is this God awful sauce covering it all that is utterly pointless... The potatoes were raw... Like can't stick a fork in them raw. The only decent part of it was the shrimp, but it wasn't enough to redeem it and make it worth the price you pay. Wow bao... O... M... G... Like where do I start. Let's talk price for quantity. There were 4 spoonfuls of chicken in one of the dishes... This included sauce. Then there was a bowl of dried out rice... There wasn't even enough sauce for the rice... Over $10... The other bowl had slightly more chicken in it, and the rice was equally as dry... Also over $10... The veggie dumplings were over a dollar a piece, at 6.99 for 5... They were falling open, and the insides were not even cooked. The potstickers were sealed, so there's that... They were both on par with grocery store potstickers... For a much higher price... Yuk. 15 years ago I would have been a fan. We used to come here often. Today? Me thinks not. My daughter and came here after some quick buys at Rue 21. They have great bogos. We were starving. Usually that means we'll eat just about anything. (Everyone but us was either under 6 or over 60). Probably due to eay kids meals and open salad bar. Not a lot can go wrong there right? We started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was ok. I've had worse. I got the salad bar and cajun shrimp and rice. I have no idea why they use the word cajun. There was no flavor. Stringy shrimp from the grill and a small pad of rice absolutely soaked in some really thick melted butter. It tasted like old popcorn butter and my rice was swimming. I gave it back. My salad bar would have been ok but the red onions had some foul lingering taste to them. Luckily, I actually ate 1/2 my salad before biting into one. So at least I had something to eat. We had planned on getting desert but after that mess, I suggested Moo Thru. They comped my "cajun" shrimp and rice but this is now on my list of *never go again*. Disappointing, I know this place is not as popular as it used to be but I never thought it would be this messed up. Ruby Tuesday, as a child, was always a treat. Understanding that this place is a bit outdated, but the salad bar wasn't even up to par. There is an actual warning sign on the salad bar, a kind of eat at your risk. The tile floor they have was extremely sticky. Everything was covered it grease or some type of film of food. I have children and at home when the floor never looks filthy as it did in this joint. Honestly I could force my family to eat at such a unsanitary establishment. The only reason I rated 2/5 is to be fair because I didn't eat. read more

I had the bbq trio of brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Probably one of the top 10 worst meals I've ever eaten in my life. Literally disgusting. Mac and cheese wasn't awful. Brisket was not brisket. Pulled pork was just baby back rib meat mushed up. Sausage was edible actually. And I think someone should let the Bush family know that somebody has been rolling their beautiful bean footage because the secret family recipe is out and those were definitely bush's baked beans. Okay - after SIX YEARS, Ruby Tuesday has finally realized that - as far as their salad bar - sorry, "Garden Bar" - needed refurbishing. People really liked it, & were uber disappointed when it declined. But after signing up to their website & getting hammered by e-mail coupons, all touting how their "Garden Bar" had returned to its former glory, we decided to bite the bullet & see for ourselves. Arrived around 2 p.m. yesterday (a Tuesday afternoon) & were greeted & seated warmly. Announced that we'd just be enjoying the salad bar (all you can eat for $8.99), & were met at the bar with chilled salad plates, chilled greens (iceberg, romaine, baby spinach, & mixed greens) & chilled freshly-filled toppings. Iced tea for me & water for hubby. Iced tea was unsweetened as ordered, & tasted fresh - not watered down & not tasting like it had been made from a mix. My salad consisted of romaine, mixed greens, sliced mushrooms, diced red onion, artichoke hearts, sliced beets, diced ham, wasabi peas, crumbled blue cheese, croutons, & buttermilk blue cheese dressing. It was all fresh, delicious, & filling enough that neither I nor my husband were hungry for dinner later on. Bottom Line: Service was excellent. We had a coupon giving us $5 off, so bill came to only $17.55 before tip. Of course we - AS ALWAYS - tipped based on what the original before-discount amount was. Now that we know that Ruby Tuesday has returned it's salad bar to somewhat what it used to be (don't expect the "55" items at the salad bar as they claim on their website - they most likely change some out), we at least know that we have a nice "salad bar" option when that's all we want when dining out - especially with the hot days of summer approaching. read more

I went here today about 2 pm, by myself because I'm working out of town. Ordered water with lemon, shrimp scampi & garden bar. Garden bar was great but I only got a small amount because I knew I had scampi coming. The scampi came & it was beautiful but absolutely tasteless!! No garlic, no salt or pepper, and the shrimp didn't even have any flavor. So I ate about 3 bites & pushed my plate away. The waitress came by & asked if I needed a box. I said no, it has no scampi flavor whatsoever, just take it off my bill. So my bill came & I was charged for the unlimited garden bar since they took the scampi off the check! So about a cup of salad cost me $10. They took the one out of Harrisonburg but after today I'm rather glad they did!! read more

My husband and I went out for a weeknight celebratory dinner to toast him finishing his MBA. We didn't want to spend a lot, so we picked RT - even though we'd had a bad take-out experience with them before. We arrived around 6:45 and there was no hostess in sight. There was someone else in front of us who - after a several minutes wait - turned around and asked, "is anyone working here tonight?" Finally, a frazzled looking lady approached him and seemed annoyed to have to seat him - but seat him she did. She returned to the station and - still seeming aggravated - handed us off to an equally frazzled-looking young lady, who seated us in a booth. We received water relatively quickly and placed our drink orders: a top shelf margarita for my husband and a glass of Pinot Grigio for me. We chatted for awhile and eventually started to wonder where our drinks were. After a good 10 minutes, our waitress reappeared and asked me to clarify my drink order (there were two brands of PG on the menu), at which time she also took our food order. We ordered a bottle of red wine to go with dinner and asked that it be brought before the food so it could breathe. That was the last we saw of her for over 20 minutes, when she brought MY wine, but not his margarita. She said there was a computer glitch, yet we saw other guests who arrived after us receiving their drinks. Another 15 minutes passed and he FINALLY got his margarita - followed shortly by our food.... sort of. When she brought the meals, she informed us that they were out of baked potatoes - so we had to order alternative sides and I reminded her about our red wine to go with our steaks, which had yet to be delivered. The "sauteed shrimp" tasted as if it had been rolled in sea salt and my steak was full of gristle. About half-way through our meal, our bottle of wine was delivered - along with the replacement side dishes. While our waitress was sweet and seemed rather shy, the service was AWFUL and the food was mediocre. So much for our celebration dinner. We won't be back. read more

The skinny: Ruby Tuesday, Culpeper is a two-star restaurant for a three-star price. Walking in, the environment is warm and inviting, until you sit down and realize it is cold, modern, and frigid, like an energy-star refrigerator. Plenty of seating makes group dining accessible, but not worthwhile for the price. I can imagine the seating arrangement being extremely poor when it gets busy, though. Not that I can imagine the restaurant ever being busy enough to be full. Maybe you like wasting your money on food that looks and tastes like it was prepared in a factory and reheated to serve. I am not that consumer. If I wanted Ruby Tuesday frozen chicken tenders, I would have gone to the frozen section and bought them for 1/5th the price. The salad bar is bad. Each selection distinctly tastes of freezer burnt, overcooked egg whites. One high point, the service is pleasant. If you and your date have $50, don't go to Ruby Tuesdays. Instead, buy a couple Lunchables and a bottle of chardonnay. Laugh at ducks in the park for a while. I don't know, anything but Ruby Tuesdays. read more

Before I start this review, I will say I have been a server for nearly five years and I have dined at both this Culpeper location and the Warrenton location. With that said, I am usually very forgiving and very patient. I know the sucky feeling of reading these reviews and it is difficult to write this. This is in no way a "diss" towards our server. She was a sweet girl but we were pretty disappointed with the service. This evening, my mother, brother and I came in to have an early dinner. We all got waters and my mother ordered a Diet Coke along with an Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries, a Petite Sirloin cooked medium with a side of broccoli and zucchini, and finally, a salad from the salad bar. Two of the three waters had things floating in them, the lettuce from the salad bar was going bad or was bad, the steak was a bad cut of meat and was very chewy as well as being over cooked, the broccoli was dry, the zucchini was soggy, and our drinks stayed empty unless we specifically asked for refills. We had asked to get a new piece of steak due to it being over cooked and too chewy. Our server brought it out at a reasonable amount of time (10-15 minutes max). However, no manager brought it out or came by to see how the meal was going for us. Whether or not a manager was told about the remake is beyond me but it did not appear so. Bottom line is, this was one of our worst experiences in Culpeper County, definit won't go back to this location. read more

I would have given this review negative stars if that were an option. So first off, the server, Savannah, was amazing, That is it for the positive portion of this review. So we got there and ordered our drinks and appetizers. It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks and another 10-15 minutes for our appetizers. So total, it took almost 40 minutes just for our drinks and apps. Our drinks took forever for refills, at least 10 minutes for a refill of soda and tea. After we ordered our entrees, it took another 40 minutes for it to arrive, and this entire time, there were no more than 10 people besides us eating, so they weren't busy or anything. The food wasn't hot, but wasn't cold either, it was a bit warmer than lukewarm. One of the sides we ordered was mashed potatoes, which didn't arrive until AFTER we finished our meals, and even then, I had to ask the manager what was taking so long. Another one of the sides that was ordered was a baked potato. When we took a bite of it, it was still RAW. At least 1/3 of it was completely raw, and so we ordered another one. When the second one came, it too was raw, but even more so somehow. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, which as previously stated, took a while to get. When we were last there, it came with 10 sticks, but now it is 6, yet for the same price. I am sorry, but if I want to spend $10 for 6 mozzarella sticks, I would have gone to Walmart and bought a box of frozen ones. On top of that, they were so overcooked that half of them had little to no cheese whatsoever. Our friends had ordered some a bit after we got ours, and those took at least 20 minutes to get, and once again, were overcooked. My girlfriend ordered chicken, and, despite it costing almost $20, it was 2 tiny pieces of chicken, it was as if the restaurant ordered the smallest possible chicken breasts that they could. Furthermore, the price of the all you can eat salad bar used to be $8 or so but now it's around $13, so in other words, they are increasing prices for everything, but making the portions for most of it smaller. Everything about our experience was deplorable, except for our waitress. We felt so bad for her, because she was the only waitress, and despite it not being busy, she was so flustered with everything going on. She did her absolute best and I applaud her for that. She was literally the only positive experience that we had. I will gladly give her 5 stars, but literally everything else, 0. Don't waste your money going here, unless you want to spend a lot for a small amount of food, and have several hours wasted. read more

Friday night, 8:00pm. Not too busy. Unsmiling hostess showed my wife and I to our seats. Our waitress arrived promptly and used the awful "You Guys" - I am 55 years older than her and my wife is nit a gender bender. She also put her hands on the table and lent in. I am not sure why this irritated me but it did. But probably not her fault as she probably only got 10 minutes training as wait staff. Sweet enough personality. Food took a while to arrive - "Just waiting for the fries to cook". Meanwhile our hostess was sweeping the carpet with a sweeper and spraying some form of cleaner on the plastic table cloth on the table next to us. The sweeper was not put away but left propped up against the table - and a customer tripped over it. There was also a gaggle of wait staff in the dining room entrance who seemed to be coming off duty and comparing tips. So plenty to amuse us until the food arrived. My wife's dish was excellent. Mine disappointing, as I could not tell whether my steak was overdone ("waiting for the fries?") or was just lacking in red juice. Overall, it was moderately tasty, aided by the sauce. The bill was something of a shock. It was more than I had paid to take six of us out for Sunday brunch a couple of weeks back - and we had linen tablecloths and napkins. Many happy returns? Don't understand the bad reviews we eat here 3-4 times a year and are always happy with the food and service. We went again today and I was happy to see they put garbanzos back on the salad bar. I ordered the burbon bacon sirloin and it was really pretty good, the wife's tilapia was flavorful and not over cooked which chain restaurants tend to do. The server earned his 20% and kept our drinks filled and didn't hover us too much. Overall I don't come in expecting 5 diamond Michelin fare, I expect good food at a decent price in a safe, clean environment....and this place meets and exceeds the bar on all of those. I hate chain restaurants and don't go to them if I can help it. I went this time because RT has a salad that I like, and I was starving. Lo and behold, it's not on their menu anymore, so I ended up getting a soup and salad from their salad bar, which was very limited and in desperate need of refreshing. I do like that they have edamame on their salad bar, though. The soup took way too long to get to me. I didn't think it took that long to ladle from a tureen and drop it off. I'm not the picky type, all I expect is good food and simple service. When I and my friend went to eat with his girl and son, the service was mediocre at best. The waitress kept forgetting things and then bringing us stuff we didn't ask for and cluttered up the table. The food took almost a hour to come out. The coleslaw, which was the worst part of the day, tasted completely spoiled and it turned my stomach a little. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks my family and I ordered. Service was terrible and food was over cooked. They had two guys that were not doing a thing to seat people playing on their phones while me and my family waited on our drinks and meal. They were out of everything! Chocolate milk for my kids, sweet potatoes, the only light dressing they had was ranch, and they were out of ribs!!! I mean come on. My son ordered a ribeye medium and it came out well done. When I couldn't have ribs the manager at the time offered a free steak. Also ordered medium and it came out well done! She also said my meal was on her which I appreciate and gave me a 50 percent discount but I still ended up paying for my meal. Here I am on August 21 2021, and I ordered myself a margarita. I was denied my margarita due to the fact that my ID is still straight up and down and not sideways. I was then refused a manager because it's "store policy" that they can't serve anyone with out a sideways ID and stated "well I'm 28 and my ID is like that and I wouldn't be served here either" with an attitude when her attitude wasn't asked for. I was here last week with a different server and was able to order my drink. I have never heard of not being able to be served alcohol because my ID isn't sideways. If the waiter is competent enough to read the date on the ID then she shouldn't be able to serve alcohol in general. That is not my only issue with my visit today, we were seated for 10 minutes before our server Lindsey even came over to take our drink order. After she took our order we got the salad bar and had to wait to eat because we weren't given silverware and had to get our own from the host.
