My visit to Ruby Tuesday in Troy, AL was unfortunately not a pleasant one. From the start, there was a long wait just to be seated. No one was at the front, and I had to call out for someone simply to be acknowledged. Once seated, our server never introduced themselves or provided their name. The floors were sticky and slippery as though they needed to be mopped. After 10 minutes of waiting while no one was in the restaurant, they finally seated us. I ordered the broccoli and cheese soup, which arrived lukewarm. The cheese was unmelted, and the soup itself was bland and watery--very much like it came straight from a reheated bag rather than being freshly prepared. The salad bar was also underwhelming, with very minimal options available. To add to the inconvenience, there were no salt or pepper shakers on the table. Overall service was lacking. There was little attentiveness to our table throughout the meal, and it took an unusually long time just to receive the bill at the end. Horrible. What a mistake this was. The waitress carries our drinks out by the top of the glasses in her hands (not on a tray or by the bottom of the glasses). Then I watched as she carried out an empty dinner bowl to the salad bar against her body cupping her chest. Proceeds to fill up this salad bowl from the salad bar while consulting the menu in her other hand that she carried out too (maybe why she cupped the bowl to her bosom). We were feeling bad for whoever was going to get this salad... (her making a salad without any gloves on and straight from the food that was out on the salad bar) .... Until we saw her bring to our table with salmon on top. Our friend was very gracious. Way more than I would've been. And ate the salad without complaint. The fries were in old grease and gross. Our food had been sitting under the warmer quite a while. It was just not a great experience. I would NOT recommend this location. It's not up to the standards of the chain. read more

Drove to restaurant, parked in curbside parking and called restaurant only to be told they could not prepare my order due to the fact that the meat was "absolutely frozen solid". Can we prepare you something else? Unfortunately, I did not have the time to wait for something else. Asked to cancel order and was told "you have to go online to cancel". Prompt service . My T bone was perfect. My server was very attentive. It was quite not too busy, but the food was perfect.

We were seated when we walked in, although it wasn't busy. Waitress Lakin came to our table with menus. She was new, however had to check on soup options, specials, came back to ask wine pour size, 30 minutes later no meal. Mgr came out to tell us she forgot to put it in. It would be another 20 minutes. Offered us free salad bar for our wait. We asked for our bill. Nothing deducted. Mgr had oily hair, rumbled clothing, he was not a good representation for Ruby Tuesdays, or his employees. read more

*Please note that I am not hard to please and I downloaded this app just to leave this review!* This experience was absolutely terrible. Our waitress was very sweet, but that was absolutely it. My food was $20 and I initially ordered the potato skins and spinach and artichoke dip. She came back and told me they ran out, so I replaced it with queso. When the queso came out, it was not hot and had that skin-like texture on top. The potato skins were thin, had half melted cheese on top, and were completely bland. I ended up paying $24 overall, and as a college student, that is not easy made money. Those were the two cheapest things on the menu, by the way. I am very disappointed in the food, thank God our server was nice. They were good about getting us in and out, which was nice. The steaks were overcooked and tough. The scallops were also over cooked ans dry, the skins wer cold and overcooked. The best thing on the plate was the fries!!! Our wáitress was very sweet. when we complained she got the manager. Thank goodness he took $40 off or our bill would have been$80+! Absolutely filthy! We also sat for 20 minutes (only ONE other table in the restaurant) and no one greeted us at all. In fact, when we walked in, the staff looked annoyed. It had just turned 2pm, so it wasn't like the end of the night and they were ready to close. Tables had handprints all over them, old ketchup hardened on it, part of the material ripped off the side of the booth, the wall looked like kids had smeared slimy hands after picking their noses.... Well it was another odd event in a day of strange events after Ian suggested strongly we leave Florida. Beat a hasty retreat to Troy a stop on the way home. Arrived a little before 7. Seated promptly. Examined the salad bar (former hallmark of Ruby Tuesday) devastated 2 hours before closing with no plan to refresh. Server was pleasant but harried having to cover to many tables. Ordered burgers. Food was properly prepared and tasty. Server appeared suddenly and says "our card reader has crashed and hope you have cash. " We had barely enough to cover the tab and ended up Venmo the tip. Quite funny said we could go to ATM and return to pay. Only real disappointment was the salad bar. read more

Ruby Tuesday in Troy Alabama needs a little TLC. We went there to get the salad bar but looked at it when we walked in and it looked like it was hit by a tornado. It was really a mess. Honestly would not have gotten it even if it was free. Took a while to get seated (very nice receptionist once she saw us) and a while to order even though not that crowded (About 10 tables of customers) That was because there was only ONE server working. That one server was the saving grace. She was handling every table by herself. She had a great attitude and was really trying - and pulling it off... Her name was Jamiah. They are lucky to have her. If you want a great employee go in there and find her and offer her a better job maybe... The food was cold and seemed low quality -maybe microwaved... We split an entree w 2 small sides and a $31 bottle of wine - our tab was almost $80 w tip. Our table was very sticky so we quietly cleaned it ourselves w soap and water and towels from bathroom. This restaurant does not seem to be very well managed. Not to be critical but if you charge the money - do better. Our server was always doing whatever she could... she was stressed but always a real smile. We tipped her well. We thought she really deserved it. She cared. Go Jamiah! Wait staff is good & very pleasant but the hostess was pretty much chasing people out by quoting 30 min wait time when the restaurant was pretty much empty. This was after the Troy vs Army game so you would think the manager would have staffed the restaurant better than that, knowing people would come after the game. 2/19/22, traveling & stopped in Troy for the night. Five stars for Ruby Tuesday - one star for Door Dash app and customer service. No issues with Door Dash driver. Ordered online via Door Dash app, two items were missing. Receipt attached to carry bag did not have missing items but online door dash receipt did. Called Ruby Tuesday and they were not even notified of issues. They came to the rescue literally with one of THEIR staff bringing missing items to our hotel room. Chicken Caesar Salad take out. Didn't notice until later that the romaine was wilted and brown and see-through. Absolutely disgusting.

Food was kinda dry and we got a steak medium-rare it came out very chewy and dry not to mention, definitely not medium-rare. Service was ok, but when we came in, the waitress was about to sit us down, some lady that worked there ( I think she did ) said we're not technically open yet ( two minutes prior before they opened ) there was already people there. Environment was disgusting, and the bathroom mirror was smudged and the whole place was just gross. Also, I think I might have heard a little bit of "toot" as the waitress as she passed the table. Salad bar is really all that's good here. Had steak & ribs with the honey sauce. Ribs were DRY and rubbery no flavor. Steak wasn't to bad as well as broccoli was cooked right. Service was very good (since Covid we've had to lower our standards of what good service is). Would eat here again but would probably only do salad bar. ***wish they would serve pickled beets not just sliced beets. Would greatly improve salad bar read more

Very typical Ruby Tuesday. I stoped by here in hopes that they had a salad bar, and I was pleasantly surprised. The bar was well stocked with fresh veggies and great accompaniments. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. I recommend this place, especially if you like a good salad bar. read more

Not only was this place long in the tooth and pretty dirty, but the staff was bad and the food even worse! My guy and I wandered in here after four hours of driving from Ponte Vedra Beach Florida. Though we don't eat at chains, we had no choice as Troy Alabama wasn't exactly the metropolis of the US! We entered and were seated immediately. Our drinks arrived quickly and we were hopeful for a good meal. We both ordered the bourbon chicken with two sides, each getting the house salad NOT the salad bar which was extra. Our salads were paltry and the raspberry poppyseed dressing was disgusting. Up came the entrees. Omg disgusting rubber processed chicken. Burger King would have been better. I almost get sick thinking about it. I ate my baked potato and my guy ate his rice but we both left part of the chicken. It should have been sent back. The coupe de grat came when we received our bill and it was a bit high. I asked the waitress to see the itemized receipt again and she brought it back and scrammed. I was not impressed, I had ribs and chicken tenders. The ribs were just warmed up tasted like they had been there for some time. The tenders were advertised as hand battered i believe they were frozen and deep fried. They were very small and tough. The mashed potatoes had been there for some time too part were pretty dried up other part really runny. Someone needs to teach them to stir things before they serve on a plate. After a very long day decided we didn't want to cook and what the heck haven't been here in a while! Sadly they have done away the yummy garlic biscuits but happily ave improves the salad bar! My husbands petite sirloin was cooked to perfection and made him very happy!! I tried the double decker chicken and was extremely happy with it!! Our server was great!!! DON'T HEAT UP THE TAKE OUT DESERTS IN THE STYROFOAM BOX! My wife & I order desert to take back to the hotel. I had a Blondie Brownie. Apparently this is served warm and was microwaved in a small Styrofoam take out box. The ice cream was in a separate plastic bowl. I placed the brownie in the plastic bowl and enjoyed it very much except the bottom of the brownie was chewy and my last bites were crunchy. Placing the Styrofoam box in the trash I noticed a triangle outline the size of the brownie on the bottom of the styrofoam box. The outline was melted Styrofoam. Not the way I like to end my day......ingesting plastic. But the chewy stuff was a nice touch. Why is it the best things in life will make you sick or kill you. The food was about what you can expect which I find to be average quality which is fine. The service here was very slow. We stopped in to get dinner on the road as it was familiar and right off the road we were traveling down. Our waitress was nice but disappeared while we were waiting for our food. Another waiter stopped by to ask us how we were, we asked him to check on our food and he said the kitchen was really backed up even though the restaurant was only about a third full. I suspect this is a result of poor management. I will not be returning. read more
