Chicken karaage & pork belly bowl w sweet potato added
    Ahlennah B.

Entrance is at the back through a door labeled "The Avenue"! Lots of pin ball machines (all the fancy high-end pro and special edition ones!) on two floors. Plays are $1 ea or 3 for $2. Pool tables and a stage set up for live music. Let someone know you're there for food and sit at a table. They will bring you menus. Hoisin sauce is an odd choice for everything that normally comes with eel sauce or similar, but it does the trick. Definitely mall-reminicent, but in a good way. Pork belly is the thin crispy variety, sweet potato comes cubed and herbed. Fried garlic is a super light dusting of really thin garlic shavings. Can't say that one was worth the upcharge. Karage has the skin on which is unique. I liked it! The cucumber salad is really delicious and not really spicy at all. Just a hint of chili oil flavor. Service was nice and efficient. We paid at the front when we were done. They like to leave you to your own devices here because it's primarily a bar/arcade and it's just easier if you flag someone down when you need anything. On an interesting block with a spiritual bookstore next door...

Wow. What an interesting place. When we pulled up, we thought we were at the wrong place. When we went in, it was not what we expected, but everyone was really nice. We ended up sitting at the bar. The menu is ready interesting. We started with a few of the starter buns. I got the soft shelled crab, which I loved. We then got the ramen and the shrimp curry. Both were great. It was really fun to find a place this different. If you enjoy trying new things and going to places that are outside of the box, go here.

The Miso Ramen was very good, the Karaage and the Fried Chicken Rice Bowl wasn't what I was expecting because the chicken was very fatty. We added soft shell crab to the ramen and it was

The 5 stars is because I just enjoy eating the food these guys make (both in restaurant and via delivery) the noodles themselves don't blow you away, but the broth, meat and sides are always great! Here's what we got: 1. Shoryuken Ramen with fried chicken - tasty shouyu and chashu. The fried chicken was really tender too. 2. Miso Lit Ramen - this really hit the spot. The broth is really unique. Tasty with the ground pork. 3. Burmese Ginger Salad - this is a hidden GEM!!! Very refreshing. My only quibble was that they serve way too much of it (yes).

Sapporo is not about to break that trend! Right off the bat, the vibe is chill and the staff is welcoming. I go for the Takoyaki and Hakata modern. The Takoyaki is absolutely delicious. Wonderful balance of texture and salt vs sweet. Easily top 3 I've had. On to the ramen....which I was ready to be super hyper critical on. Hakata modern features Tonkotsu pork broth, chashu, ajitsuke tamago, menma, beansprouts, garlic oil, umami dama, and scallions. Final verdict? The broth is rich and flavorful, and there is plenty of it! The ramen egg is a tab bit overdone and the chasu can be a little more tender but who am I kidding? It's pretty damn good! The best part of all? Sapporo sits at a very reasonable price point while not compromising on high quality. All in all, very much worth a trip while in the area. Sapporo slides right into my go to lineup :-)

I got the fried goza and the yaku udon. I was super excited. It came out in about 5 mins. OK portion. I tried the goza with the ponzu sauce. Ponzu too salty for me and not much flavor. Ditto that for the goza. Crunchy but zero flavor. I don't even know what I was eating. And unfortunately the same for the udon. The chicken which you get a good amount was way overcooked and hard, flavorless and dry. It was supposed to be to have veggies and it had some lettuce on top and a few shredded carrots but no real veggies. The noodles had a nice coating of sauce and were OK but couldn't make up for the dish. Very disappointing overall. Reviews good so I was excited. But honestly it was not good. This is a skip. Maybe an off night but it wasn't good.

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a charming cat statue at the entrance, which instantly sets a fun and welcoming tone. We ordered the korean style Short Ribs and Pad Thai Noodles. Let me just say the short ribs were absolutely delicious. Perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, I kept repeating how good they were no notes, just a flawless, traditional short ribs experience. The Pad Thai was okay at first, with a smaller portion than expected. We asked for a remake, and the second portion was much better. It was still on the lighter side, but the flavors were spot on authentic and satisfying. A squeeze of lemon elevated the dish beautifully! The space was clean and nicely maintained. There were a few flies, but the staff explained it was due to a recent wedding event that had kept the doors open. And honestly, I could see why someone would choose this venue for an intimate wedding the surroundings are beautiful, with lovely outdoor seats that add to the experience. It's casual, but the atmosphere has something special while surrounded by nature. I'd say this place is perfect for a daytime visit, especially to enjoy the sunshine and soak in the peaceful ambiance of the Texas Corners area. The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to explain the menu and give us thoughtful recommendations. There's even a cute corner fridge where you can grab drinks, ice cream and desserts , a nod to the restaurant's origin as part of an Asian grocery store. Now, it's blossomed into its own standalone restaurant branch, and it really shows in the care they put into everything. I'll definitely be coming back. I loved the vibes, the natural light, and of course the amazing food. Next time, I'm definitely trying their bubble tea. It looked so good, and almost every table around us had one!
