We came at a good time. Before the rush-hour Friday. We had two servers one was very friendly. One was cold as ice. The coldest ice one won't make eye contact and didn't even smile at all. Tried the bento boxes for the first time. We ordered the beef hibachi and the salmon teriyaki Bento. We picked the salad instead of the soup you get a choice. The salad was very good. I didn't really feel welcomed upon arrival so I'm glad I ordered online for pick up. With that being said, I'm not sure if it would be worth dining in. One thing is for certain though, my Spicy girl roll was absolutely delicious. I was happy to see that they had a pretty extensive menu and their prices were very reasonable. The first two times we came in were great, but the last couple times we've had the same waiter who seems to take on more and more tables when he can't handle it. We waited 20 minutes for someone to even take our order today and ended up walking out, still without our order being taken. Meanwhile we see our server seating more tables and taking their orders instead, when other servers had the time to take them on. Another server offered to bring us menus but the other guy insisted. Wish the first guy would've been our server, then maybe we wouldn't have been forgotten. Stopped in for ramen as I was in town for the bar exam. Service was verrrrry slow and the staff just sort of stared at me when I first walked in. I stood around for about 5 mins until someone finally acknowledged me and got me seated. The food was ok. I got the butter miso ramen (non spicy) and the broth was very salty. The veggies (cabbage, specifically) were limp and didn't look fresh. And the chashu pieces were mostly fat. The restaurant itself is set up nice, but just not the most welcoming or accommodating staff. Also, wanted to note that they check you out on a tablet and watch you as you're asked about tip. I found this really awkward and uncomfortable. My server stared at the tablet screen while I chose my tip amount, and when I did add the tip (20% - despite the lackluster service), she just nodded and left. No appreciation for my patronage at all. All in all, it seems like a decent restaurant and the sushi looked good (from what I saw from other tables) but I wouldn't return due to the weak service. read more

So I got DoorDash to try this spot out. So I can't really speak on the ambiance or service overall inside. However, with that being said. The food was nicely packaged. The rolls given were a very nice portion and they are pretty big. I would pass on the ramen I got the katsu chicken Ramen, they were a bit plain they didn't taste bad just not something I would order again. I loved the honey something roll. I can't think of the name but it was very good! They do put soy sauce in the bag which was cool Because on door dash it said like $2 for 6 packets and I wasn't going to pay extra for something these types of restaurants usually give for free. Overall like I said I would skip the ramen but def order the rolls again. I can't wait to go check out the inside of the restaurant and try some of their other options like hibachi! Takoyaki is crunchy on outside and creamy in the inside. Very close to Osaka takoyaki. Great appetizer to try. Garlic Soy Ramen, if you're Asian always ask the soup to be boiling hot. On a 10 point scale for food quality, I would rate it a 6, at best. Miso soup, while a large portion size, was completely flavorless. Rice used to make the rolls had a mushy texture and the shrimp rolls had hardly any shrimp pieces within. Staff were a little on the rude side but I chalked it up to the fact that maybe they were having a bad day. I ordered three rolls for my meal and was very surprised at how small they were, compared to some other sushi establishments I frequent. Probably won't be heading back here any time soon. read more

A group of us stopped by for lunch and it was a huge mistake. Never coming back!! Food - the salmon sushi was not fresh and the rice was horribly mushy. The rolls my party had ordered also had mushy rice. If you go to any big city like L.A., NY, SF, Tokyo, you will know this place does not know how to do sushi. If you can't even get the sushi rice correct, you are not serving sushi. The seaweed on hand roll is soft and soggy when it should be dry and crispy with a crunch when you bite into it. The soup for the ramen was lukewarm when it should be piping hot when served. Service - the service here is nothing to brag about. Ambiance - no original decor, just a bad copy of mish mash items trying to pass as Japanese decor. If you look in detail the place is dark and not very clean. The seating highly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the standard for Japanese food here is quite low. To have more than 2 stars for this place is too kind. read more

Sushi - it was alright, typical tier 2 sushi joints in midwest, to be honest, there was nothing special about the rolls or the sashimi. It was nice to get 20 pieces for $21, but majority of the sashimi on the plate were items that I would not order on its own, but I can't tell them what to add/take out, although it'd be nice if one could :) As for the rolls go, on part with those you buy at the supermarket. I didn't try the black garlic ramen, but my nephew said it was decent. Overall, decent joint, but if you want to upgrade the sushi experience, then I would recommend Sansu. I'm always skeptical of whether or not all you can eat sushi restaurants are good. I was surprised to find how much I liked AYCE and would definitely return in the future. The service at AYCE was good. The servers were always checking in on you and the food came out pretty fast. All the food wasn't perfect. We were looking for a cheap and quick delivery Sushi and ended up ordering from Uni on the weekend. We ordered the Shrimp Tempura appetizer, a Kani salad, a Spartan Roll and a MSU roll. The Tempura was overly breaded, with the shrimp particularly crunchy but not unappetizingly so. The Kani salad was on the more mayo heavy side, as were the two rolls. The sushi rolls themselves were more or less what we expected but they ended up being incredibly filling, and we ended up taking 2 meals to finish the food. It was empty when we came in but they were busy with quite a lot of to go orders and after we were dining in for half an hour, more people started to come and dine in. Since they only have miso soup & seafood soup (the price of those 2 soups are quite different); I asked the waitress if both of the soup are supposed to be included; she said yes. Thus I ordered seafood soup as a side for my dish. Food came out in a decent amount of time, seafood soup was very yummy. Both of our dishes were yummy and big portion. We both brought 1/3 back home for next day meal. When we received the bill, they charge us the salad and the soup; I double checked with the waitress before handing out my credit card. She apologized and took out the charge for the salad but not the soup. She said only miso soup was included, NOT seafood soup. I was confused with what I was told earlier before ordering.
