Very honest mechanics, they go out of their way to save you money. Their prices for parts and for labor are very fair.

I will never bring my car back here and that says a lot. This dealership sold me my car in 2022 and the transmission went out this year at only 106k miles, CRAZY. The shop quotes me a massive price and when my warranty service rejected their overly priced repair, they sent another quote for a used transmission with 103k miles on it already for only 1k less than a new one. Saying I'd still be paying 2k out of pocket, and when you live paycheck to paycheck, thats hard to come up with! This is why I invested in an additional warranty service. Service team was okay, but were clearly annoyed that I followed up a lot and when I mentioned that the problems ONLY stared after they flushed my transmission fluids and replaced an airbag earlier this year they became very defensive and unapologetic in front of other customers in line! pretty much the worst customer service and repair service I've ever experienced in my entire life.... I needed my blower motor replaced and I told them that it does not take an hour of a $250 computer diagnostic for them to tell me so also nowhere else in town charges $250 an hour for labor I went down the street to a private place. This one is tough. 1. Wes was very nice. I was not able to haggle down for the price that was KBB or TMV, but it wasn't too far off so I'm not terribly bitter about it. 2. The car was great, low mileage and serviced well (knock on wood...) 3. I would give this dealership a 5 star review if I hadn't seen the "All Lives Matter" on one of their signs while driving off after I had purchased the car. I don't consider myself an extreme leftist, which is probably what some readers are assuming right now, but this is something that humanity needs to understand as a whole. It is tone-deaf, and not a stance the world needs to see. My family is white, privileged, and because of that things came relatively easy to me in my life. I want to stand for those where that isn't the case. This is a Yelp review, so I won't delve into this, but please, consider where you're coming from, as a Port Angeles resident that has a close to zero percent black population. It is impossible to fully understand their story, and that is OK. You aren't required to. But if you post "All Lives Matter" when a specific race is clearly not able to get to your societal level when it comes to quality of life, you just don't get it, and you are incorrectly assuming that it means your own life is negated; saying "Black Lives Matter" doesn't mean that all lives don't. It means Black lives are at risk in ways others are not. Worst customer service ever. I recently bought a 2018 Nissan rogue under 50,000 miles. Was stickered at $23,999 at the end of the deal i paid $35,000. The car blue books at about $16,000. Being a single mom on the lot i feel like i was taken advantage of. My car has so many issues. The first issue was the hub assembly and i took it in to the shop and they did not have a loner car for me and they let me drive off the lot with a bad wheel baring. When they finally got it in i had to pay for my own rental and a deductible. It shouldve been under warranty. Now i have a leak on both sides of the car coming from where my windshield meets the roof when it rains it pours in. im so sick of it. I paid my car off within a week and was so happy, Just to be let down and sold a pos!! I hope you all feel real good about yourselves! read more

My wife and I came here for the first time looking for a used vehicle. We were helped by Nic Harrison, one of their newer sales people. The dealership has been around for a long time and it has done a lot of good for the community. You can tell the family that owns it cares. It was also very clean inside. Nic is very good at his job. He talked us through everything, showed us only what we asked to see (the first vehicle was the winner), and at no point did we ever feel pressured to make a purchase. We had to wait a while to see the person in the finance department after we had chosen a vehicle so we simply sat at Nic's desk and chatted with him. As I mentioned above, we left the lot with the vehicle we wanted. Nic was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process and even sent me a text later that day, thanking us and letting us know we can contact him with any questions. I also want to give a shout out to the manager, who came by to say hi to us early on, and to Greg Smith, the gentleman in financing. He was very nice and helpful, as well. P.S. My car needed a lot of repairs so we decided to take it in the a Chevy dealership to make sure everything was done properly. They were supposed to keep in contact with us about the progress of our Chevy sonic. The worker only called a couple times never returning our calls. They had the car for almost a full month over $2,500 of work later we get it back filthy, the car wasn't spotless going in by any means but when we got it back the inside was covered in dust and dirt from the mechanic's shop/garage and the outside was covered in bird presents. On top of that we still had to end up getting a tuneup and it still shakes when at a red light. Other than that the employees at the front counter were nice. read more

First off I'd like to say my family has been loyal customers to Ruddell. We have bought many cars from here. So when I went to buy my car from here it was an awful experience. The only thing nice I experienced was the salesman Jarek. He was very nice and very approachable. When we met with the finance manager Mickey she was EXTREMELY rude. She talked to me like I was an idiot and made me feel like I was complete garbage just because I haven't had a credit line for long. After being extremely rude and telling me I could NEVER afford a car there unless I made 22k after taxes a year she proceeded to try and get my mom to buy a car. After she had talked to me like I had two heads and a tail. She changed her tune with my mom and was a totally different person. I told my mom let's never go back here because of how poorly i was treated. I suggest you do the same as well. I arrived at Ruddell Auto Mall about 9:30am on Labor Day morning 2021; I had already been on their site and knew what I was looking for. There was a salesman talking to a family outside, and he directed me to go in the building and he would let someone know I was there. Wes greeted me in less than a minute, and I let him know what I was looking for. Wes was so nice and personable, I felt comfortable from the start. I've bought a few cars, so I was prepared; I brought my insurance, my registration, and my license in with me. We went out to check out my trade in, and he took a few pics. We went out to see the car I was interested in, but there was another customer looking for a test drive. Wes was able to take care of both of us at the same time. He rode with me and told me where to drive, and the other customer followed us. Do you think he rode with me because I'm a woman and the other driver was a man? Hmmm, I would guess that's a "yes," but I'm not offended--maybe it was because I was Customer #1 and the man was customer #2, idk. I have purchased here before. You really have to fight to get that "we beat any price" deal they brag about. I recently came back found a car for my daughter and started negotiations again. The dealer And manager thought long and hard and came back with a $6.00 yes six dollar discount! As Chris mentioned to me when he presented it to me, I agreed with him, "yes, yes this is rude." Why even do that? We left. Went to Lynnwood and found same car just under $1,000 less. But decided to call a PA shop one more time, and the life saving lot was Little Car Corner. We told them our story and where we were. He was willing to drop a price to have us as loyal customers. And that felt great now this is our new place to buy and sell our cars. My sales experience was good with Ruddell. I purchased my truck 2 years ago with the "best part" the sales guy said "LIFETIME OIL CHANGES". I have been bringing my truck like clockwork at THEIR recommendation to make sure "my LIFETIME OIL changes are kept up and my truck running smoothly". Well, here it is 2 years later and apparently the LIFETIME is over. ???? Now I'm being told it's ONE free oil charge per year. The service department told me TWO free per year. Does anyone here know what's going on?? I was told "sorry, we can't change your oil if you don't pay." When I asked to speak to a sales manager, no one came. But a gentleman at the front desk spoke to service and "this time" it would be free. I told him I would be bring my contract next time for my FREE oil changes. He said "no don't bother". DONT DO BUSINESS WITH RUDDELL!!! Slimy Double Crossing Lying car salesmen. Jim Seel (salesman) and David Bier (so?) (sales manager) are lying slimy auto salesmen. I've been working with Jim on buying a 2022 Tahoe over the phone for days, telling him I found the car on AutoTrader with a specific VIN and the advertised price... They advertised the vehicle at one price on AutoTrader and then when we got down to the moment of doing the deal upped the price by ~ $10,000 and claimed it was a 'typo' and refused to sell the car at the advertised price . When I told David that I understand his team/software made a mistake but I still wanted the vehicle at the advertised price he started yelling at me and over me, telling me he'd been "in the car business for 40 years!"... And that "all of his cars are sold at $9,995 over list price!" And then hung up on me. I'm writing this review on every site I can find and contacting the Washington Stare Attorneys General office, Chevrolet and General Motors in hopes that you too won't waste your time with Ruddell Auto. Very Disappointed in my experience with this dealership. Two weeks ago I purchased a used car from them, after it had gone through a 120 point inspection. Drove 2 hours to pick up the car and paid them their asking price. The next day (Saturday), we drove the car to the mountains where the vehicle got my family and I stranded. Would not start and check engine came on. Finally got home and started to look into the issue. Discovered, bad battery and bad alternator. The Battery had green corrosion all over it, something that would have been caught in a 120 point inspection, which would have also led the dealer to find the bad alternator. $956 dollars later, its fixed. Notified them to see if they can at least help sell me the parts at whole cost so I don't have to pay full price for the repairs. RADIO SILENCE. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone, not worth the drive of 2 hours. Sad part is, I am upgrading our 2017 Escalade next year to the 2021 model and I was going to get it from them, but I will stick to Bellevue Cadillac. read more

I had a great experience with Ruddell! I am so glad I chose to shop locally! I purchased a used car from them, and when I got it home, my son noticed a small tear in the sidewall of the tire. I had already signed my papers and accepted the car with no warranties or work promised. However, I called and spoke with one of their managers, and they agreed to split the cost of a new tire and alignment with me. If I had gone to a bigger dealership in Seattle, they would have just told me that I was on my own! Thank you Ruddell! So, to update, Ruddell did not actually follow through with this. They have given me thug run around, never returned my calls, and I have finally purchased tires on my own. My faith was misplaced. It's really sad that they didn't keep their promises. 5 years since i last used Ruddull. Lots has changed as far as their auto service department is concerned. Went in to have tire pressure monitor system sensor replaced on right front wheel. They quoted a price of 316.92. I said no, went to Les Schwab and had it done for 47.89. I will NEVER set foot in that rip off of a shop. What a shame! read more

I have caught them in several lies. Be very careful when dealing with a 'no haggle' dealership because that simply means they will not work with you on the price. Don't ever Believe a dealership when they tell you that they are making no money on your purchase. This is a lie due to the fact that they simply couldn't keep the lights on if they didn't make any money. I inquired about a used vehicle and agreed upon a certain figure. I even spoke to the manager to verify the final price. Once I had my own financing the manager turned around and said " well that price was with our own financing". There were never any disclaimers about once the price was agreed upon that it would have to be with the dealerships financing (I have texts verifying the final price without anything that says with the dealerships financing) This was their way to get more money out of the buyer. And they straight lied although they followed up with "you must have misunderstood". This is their way to sleep at night after telling all the lies. This dealership has been disrespectful and has no integrity. Be very careful next time you deal with this place and pay close attention to what they say. You will no doubt catch them in a lie. Correction: The manager later called me and there was an obvious loss in communication and he made it right. I bought the vehicle and got a pretty good deal. read more

Beware of these scammers. I'm only giving 1 star because yelp wont let you give zero stars. About 6 months ago, they promised a free samsung smartwatch to anyone who did a test drive in one of their used cars during a sale event in the Wal-Mart lot in Bremerton. I did everything required in the fine print and even allowed them to do a credit check on me in order to get the smartwatch. They also gave out Wal-Mart gift cards to customers... Spoiler alert: after *hours* spent with a pushy, slick, creepy salesman, a credit check, forms submitted with my personal info, I got a supposed $5 gift card, which i then tried to use, and it was empty, the clerk said it had never been activated. I went back to the sales staff and complained, they gave me another gift card, tried to use that, also empty and never activated... surprise surprise. Never received the promised smartwatch, called to ask about it and they played dumb, made zero effort to honor their agreement. Don't waste a moment of your time with these scammers. I would not purchase a car from them if you paid me. Update: the owner of this business actually contacted me and said he was going to make good on the smartwatch, and asked where to send it. I responded with my address. So.... did it arrive? Did he finally make good on his word, as you would expect any half-decent business owner to do? Drumroll please..... No. Not that I'm surprised (frankly, I doubt anyone reading this is). Shady business, shady owner. No one on the sales team was able to provide a price, when we questioned how are you able to sell a car without knowing the cost it was explained that the price changes depending on sale type, cash, credit or several other variables. I took my truck in for a maintenance check July 2021 while it was there one of the employees scrapped the side with a piece of equipment. My truck had decals on both sides of the bed. To fix the scrape the side had to be repainted which was done But I lost the matching decal. I was told it would be replaced. After waiting about a month I went in to see why I hadn't heard anything from them, the manager apologized and I was told the person that does the decals didn't work there any more but he would find someone to get this done. Again I did not hear any thing from them so I went in again. This time I am told there is no one around here that can handle this. I started looking around and I found a decal shop down the street. Now the decal shop says they can get Ruddell to answer him. It is now 3/22 and still not resolved. I guess my next step is to get a lawyer involved. Advise is to STAY AWAY from Ruddell!!!! read more

Just bought my 4th car from Ruddell in the past 6 years. The reason I keep going back is that if you ever have an issue the owner Howie Ruddell gets personally involved to make things right. I picked up a 2013 Hyundai sports Sonata at a great price. There was a glitch in the engine and they replaced it free on warranty with an entirely brand new engine! So it's like I have a brand new car even though it's three years old. John Dining in sales is the best there is to deal with. Justin and Bella in service and the mechanics are top-notch as well.
