I'm not one to leave reviews but here's my experience. Called in order around 3-3:30pm they were out of yams side dish and the plantains which goes with ur order. I said screw it I'll do without the plantains get the restaurant all was going smooth at least I thought they even have military/law enforcement discount. I pay and leave I'm pulling up to my house 25 min away and I get a call, they forgot to give me an entree and meat pies (my fault i guess for not opening the bag and confirming each item 3curry chicken plates 1 Rasta pasta jerk 4 meat pies). Told me if I want. To come back and pay for it. I drove off 25 minutes away and u barely found out I didn't get my stuff? I said screw it I'll go back because I was ordering for family coming over. I'm fine with paying for my stuff but when I asked if the military discount was applied she responded I already gave u a discount earlier.. So not only did I drive back off your mistake u couldn't honor my discount for that other half of meal. Wild so that brought me here. We just had lunch here today and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We tried the jerk chicken with peas and rice, the Rasta pasta, and a chicken patty -- and every single item was full of flavor. I was a little nervous about the spice level because I've had Jamaican food before that was so spicy it upset my stomach. That was not the case here at all. The food had amazing flavor with just the right amount of heat -- a slow, pleasant warmth on your lips and tongue that fades nicely without overwhelming the dish. The chicken patty was flaky and perfectly baked, filled with incredible curry chicken that was rich and well-seasoned. The jerk chicken plate was a generous portion, and the chicken was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The peas and rice were seasoned perfectly and very filling, and the Rasta pasta was cooked just right with a creamy, flavorful sauce. The space was clean and nicely decorated but a bit small inside but since the sun hits the front, it got warm while we waited. That said, the staff were very friendly and working quickly to get orders out. I'd recommend calling ahead and picking up, as seating is limited to a small window counter that most people use while waiting. I hope they do really well so they can expand to a space with more seating. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try the oxtails or goat next time! read more

I've eaten here twice and it's been amazing both times. I've had the Jerk Chicken with veggies and rice and peas, Oxtail with rice and peas and plantains, and their beef patties. Owners/staff are very welcoming and provide suggestions and even let me sample some of the food to help me make my mind. Everything has been delicious and prepared fresh. It's really nice to have a place like this in Perris to break up the monotony of fast food places and add some variety. I've been coming to Rude Jerk Kitchen for a while now, and overall the food is solid. The jerk chicken and oxtail are consistently flavorful, and the rice and peas are always a great side. The banana pudding is also really good and definitely one of the best desserts they offer. That said, the biggest issue here is consistency. The Rasta pasta is very hit or miss sometimes it's perfectly creamy and fresh, but other times it's watery or looks like it's been sitting for hours. They really need to be more consistent with that dish. The food in general can feel the same way sometimes it tastes like it was made with real care, and other times it feels like it was rushed just to get orders out. Another thing that could improve is the customer service. Not all, but some of the staff could work on being more welcoming. At times it feels like a few employees have an attitude or look like they don't want to be there, which affects the overall experience. Overall, this place has great potential because the core food items are very good, but improving consistency and customer service would make a big difference. read more

My fiancé and mother in law brought me some food from here and it was delicious! I was so excited to see they had festival because not every place makes it. I grew up around a lot of Jamaicans so I've eaten a lot of amazing food since I was a child. The oxtail was perfect. Nice and soft and a good portion. The rice and peas were bomb too. We had so much rice and peas left over that I ate it for breakfast with a fried egg on top. My MIL said the service was decent. And that there's not really any dining in. She said it looked clean inside which is always what I look for. I moved away from LA two years ago so I'm so happy there's a good Jamaican food spot within driving distance. read more

It's hard to find good Jamaican food out here, but this one is fantastic! The jerk chicken is tender, juicy, smokey and spicy. The Rasta pasta is great, and so is the cabbage. This happened a couple of months ago, but I was showing my partner that there's a Jamaican place here and I was all hyping it up and everything we both ordered jerk chicken I asked for a small just to try it out, but I end up getting a large and my chicken was not cooked all the way, and I didn't know until Monday and I ordered this on. I believe a Saturday only because I didn't know that it was not cooked all the way because once I got it, I did eat some of it, but I was in the dark watching TV and then I couldn't finish it because it was really spicy so I left it in the fridge for a couple of days only because I wanted to eat something different and I was craving chipotle so by the time that I arrived at work, I opened it in front of everybody. I was OK. Do you guys wanna try some of this jerk chicken and I opened it and it was bloody. But I couldn't talk to them on the phone because it was Monday so I had to wait the next day. They were able to refund me my plate but not my partner's plate because they wasn't with me at the time to refund it. I was supposed to get a call back, but I end up not getting a call back. I had an amazing experience at this Jamaican spot! Super nice employees. The food was full of authentic flavor perfectly seasoned, rich, and comforting. Everything tasted fresh, super hot, and made with love. Ever since I first saw the digital billboard off the 215 fwy I wanted to try this restaurant. Then I read all the great reviews & couldn't wait to try for myself. Finally got the opportunity yesterday after work. My husband and I shared an oxtail plate with red beans and rice & rasta pasta as the sides, and a side of chicken. The food smelled So delicious my stomach was growling on the way home. The oxtail was honestly ine of the best things I've ever eaten! So flavorful and melted in my mouth. The beans & rice, Jerry chicken and rasta pasta were delicious ! I can't wait to come back and try other dishes that were mentioned in other reviews.
