I was in the area ( area meaning Menifee) and was hungry. I took a little drive up the 215 and headed to Perris. I got there close to 12, I believe they open at 11:30. Customer service was good. I ordered the Jerk Chicken entree. You get to chose your rice and a side. I got rice and peas and Rasta pasta. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. I was going to sit and eat it there but they automatically bagged it up. Welp... now I had to wait til I got home. I will say the serving is generous. Generous on the chicken and rice. My plate also came with 1 little lonely plantain haha. Chicken was good and omg the smoke flavor from the bbq. It's been a minute since I've tasted anything from a grill. That alone had me doing the happy dance. The jerk has slight heat, and was finger licking good ;-). The chicken is chopped up whole chicken so be careful of some bones here and there. I liked the rice and peas and drizzled some jerk sauce on it which made it better to me. The Rasta Pasta was just ok. They didn't give me enough to really judge it'. It needed a dab more seasoning for me. Oh and that plantain was tired.. it had to go. It definitely wasn't freshly made, tasted like a left over piece, or it wasn't ripe enough. All I know was it was dry and tough. Would I recommend them, absolutely and I plan on coming back when I'm in the "area"

Was in the area picking up my daughter's bf from train station and decided to try this place out, since I've been craving some Jamaican food! Definitely worth it. Service was ok. Very small place. Drove the food 30 minutes home it was still warm and absolutely delicious.

I can't believe I'd not already did a review! I visited on Valentines and it was in the mid afternoon. It wasn't crowded at all but supplies limited. I recall this because I live about 3 hours away, searching for restaurants in the area I was visiting, the excitement and skepticism to see a Jamaican spot.. I wanted everything! Unfortunately, there was a party that called in a catering order (that day) and purchased ALL the patties. So that was a disappointment... BUT.. I had the oxtail plate with the yams and yes ma'am!!! Tore that plate down. And I eats Jamaican food, from Jamaica to the states. I was very happy with the quality, size and price was decent as well. I'm only mad I don't have them closer to me! Now, contrary to my boyfriend who had the Jerk chicken plate with the Rasta pasta. The pasta 10/10 but the jerk was ok. I believe the way the chicken was cut, the bones shattered so there were shards of bones while he was trying to eat it. Also, we had to buy a ton of the jerk sauce. A ton. He says 4.5-5/10.

First off, the portion sizes were on point. I was shocked at how much food I received. I ordered a side of your chicken and a side of steamed veggies and I couldn't even finish it all. That's a good starting point. The steamed veggies - everyone has steamed veggies. They're all made pretty similar yet These were the best veggies I think I've ever had. Idk ‍ , they were steamed veggies, but the flavor and texture was jumping out of my bowl. I really enjoyed the jerk chicken as well. I loved the char on my chicken and it had a nice jerk barbecue sauce with it. Hands down this was one of the better Jamaican meals I've had in the I.E. I'll definitely be back to try other stuff now. I would recommend you try other things as well.

Stopped by to pick up an order of Rasta Pasta and an Oxtail plate with white rice and I enjoyed every bite!!! The oxtail was that "fall off the bone" kind of yum!!! The staff here are pleasant and quick with service. The store was busy when I stopped by early evening, the parking was almost full and designated for the surrounding businesses. Dining area is limited but I am sure that if they expand at some point, they would definitely increase their sales!! Many people waiting on their orders. This store stayed busy yet seemed well maintained. It would not be spacious enough to accommodate large groups but don't let that be the reason to miss out on their food! Definitely a place for that tasty Jamaican food you will crave for every now and then!

Rude Jerk Jamaican Kitchen located in Perris California takes on a unique twist into introducing Jamaican cuisine into the public and into the world. Im filipino and my culture loves the oxtail especially in our kare kare but the oxtail at Rude Jerk Jamaican kitchen takes it to another level. The menu kinda caters to all and then some. If you see my photos I had wings, oxtail plate with rice and beans, plaintains, rasta pasta (delicious), and a Sorrel Slushie. Being out here in California I dont think I ever been in a Jamaican store front before that sold food so anytime and every time I see Jamaican food being sold I am 100% sold so Rude Jerk is it! From Jerk Chicken, chicken and beef patties , curry and much more what can you ask for! Location for sitting down is not that great so if you try to get intimate with someone this place aint it other than you taking food to dine out or have some me time like me and sit in a little ol table by yourself and write a review. Service is top notch and how food is delivered out to you is superb. I witnessed them handle and diffuse a situation with a needy customer and service is top quality. Overall my oxtail plate was super delicious...spice was good and flavor was off the wall. I love me with oxtail that has meat and not fatty. The protein and rice ratio was plenty. If you are ever in Perris make sure this is your first stop!

This place is amazing!! I drove from Riverside to come check this place out, called in my order, and within 10 mins it was ready. The jerk chicken plate was amazing, the sides were delish, the plantains were 10/10, and so were the steamed veggies. They have lots of good options for drinks too! Next time I come back, definitely want to try the oxtails. It's hard to come by authentic Jamaican food in the IE, so i highly recommend to come check this place out!!

I ordered a party tray of jerk chicken that was very decently priced, I was hoping it was going to be good and it didn't disappoint. I'm beyond EXCITED to see my kinda ppl with a restaurant near by ( closest was Colton ) so to see a Jamaican restaurant open in Perris was very exciting!! The place is small and reminds me of typical jerk huts you'd see in states with more West Indian ppl buttt let's get into the food ! The food definitely has the flavor, the spicy level feel like they may be catering a little for the local as in don't want to kill dem wit peppa so the scotch bonnet might not be there like you typically see bbuuttt that doesn't change the food is very good I've been back to try their: Curry goat 9/10 ( missing the heat I'm use to ) Brown stew. 10/10 Beef Pattie 10/10 Overall definitely worth the visit and I'll beck!!! Friendly service and good food !!

Came here craving jerk chicken and this spot did not disappoint. Grabbed the oxtail plate, jerk chicken plate, and some beef patties. The jerk chicken; smoky, spicy, slightly sweet and it came with peas and rice. The oxtail plate is really good, super tender and flavorful. Id stop by again!

DoorDash order: Authentic Flavors, Generous Portions! The oxtails were incredibly tender rich, savory gravy. Loved the candied yams on the side; they hit that sweet spot. The rice and peas were spot-on authentic, and those jerk wings? Just the right kick of heat--moist. , flavorful, and clearly made with care. Will definitely be ordering again!

I have been wanting to try Rude Jerk Kitchen for a while. I'm a San Diego native but I live in Menifee and Rude Jerk Kitchen is not far. I finally made it in and had the grilled jerk shrimp with rice and peace and steamed cabbage. I also ordered two sides of jerk chicken. First of all there was so much food. The grilled jerk shrimp was delicious and had an awesome spicy kick. The plate came with plenty of large shrimp. The shrimp came with the tail on but they were prepared so well it was very easy to separate the tail. I loved how the red and green peppers, and onions were mixed with the rice and peas. The jerk chicken was flavorful as well. I was very happy with the spice. Now one thing about this place is that the wait will be long, but I was told ahead of time that it would be 25 minutes. I never mind waiting because this food was worth it. The customer service was pleasant as well. I look forward to going back and trying more menu items.

Came here all the way from LA for a show and this restaurant might be better than the show! It was my first time trying Jamaican food and everything was so juicy and flavorful. We got the oxtail plate with rasta pasta and pea rice with a side of jerk chicken. Bomb!!! The workers were so kind as well. They highly recommended the banana pudding and at first we said we couldn't but after getting the food we knew we had to. IT IS SOOOO GOOD!!The texture and flavor was all on point. I would def try it if I could come back. I'll be dreaming about this place!

My fiancé and mother in law brought me some food from here and it was delicious! I was so excited to see they had festival because not every place makes it. I grew up around a lot of Jamaicans so I've eaten a lot of amazing food since I was a child. The oxtail was perfect. Nice and soft and a good portion. The rice and peas were bomb too. We had so much rice and peas left over that I ate it for breakfast with a fried egg on top. My MIL said the service was decent. And that there's not really any dining in. She said it looked clean inside which is always what I look for. I moved away from LA two years ago so I'm so happy there's a good Jamaican food spot within driving distance. read more

It's hard to find good Jamaican food out here, but this one is fantastic! The jerk chicken is tender, juicy, smokey and spicy. The Rasta pasta is great, and so is the cabbage. I also tried the brown stew chicken and beef patty and both were amazing. Give this place a try. I live quite a ways from here but I will definitely be back. read more

We were lured to this place by the wonderful smell of the food as we left my dr visit nearby. It was my first time eating Jamaican food but it definitely will not be the last. This is my go to Jamaican spot. I'm in Moreno Valley and I was bummed after jamdung closed on Alessandro but this location delivers the Same food taste and vibes. The lady upfront Ixchel is super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely a vibe. I get the goat curry with Rasta Pasta and Veggies. The jerk chicken was decent too but I stick to my faves. read more

I had an amazing experience at this Jamaican spot! Super nice employees. The food was full of authentic flavor perfectly seasoned, rich, and comforting. Everything tasted fresh, super hot, and made with love. My only small complaint was that the oxtails had a bit too much fat, but they were still so tender and delicious that I cleaned the plate anyways! The portions were generous, and the vibes were great too. I'll definitely be coming back again for more this place is a true gem!! read more

Visited for the first time for lunch. 1. Lunch bowl with curry chicken/rice and peas. a. Chicken was tender. Curry was flavorful, however I found it to be a touch salty for my palette. Will have to try it again. Maybe it was just an off day? 2. Beef patty a. Delicious! Spicy, flavorful and flaky crust. 3. Banana pudding a. Another home run! Great fresh banana flavor. My first time eating Jamaican food, me and my son went it was delicious. Servings size was great we still had lots of leftovers. He has had Jamaican food before he said it was authentic and delicious. We got the oxtails they melt in your mouth. The environment was a nice and friendly one. I'm so glad we got something different to eat in Perris. You won't be disappointed, I'm going back real soon. The rice and peas , cabbage, plantains were all delicious. Everything HIT! We got the curry goat plate with rice and peas and yams, Oxtail plate with Rasta pasta, and a side of jerk chicken. Everything was flavorful. Oxtail superrr tender, jerk chicken is JERK CHICKEN. Chicken patties are stuffed with chunks of chicken. Nice kick to them. And you get what you pay for ! They are not skimpy at all. And the banana pudding...had no business being that good. read more

I usually frequent my local Jamaican restaurant in San Diego but happened to be in the area when I was craving a beef pattie. Unfortunately when I arrived they were sold out and I see why. I was very impressed with the food and service. We ordered the carrot cake, veggie pattie, chicken pattie, brown stew chicken, and jerk shrimp. Everything was so good, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Food is good ,I saw Teddy Riley had made a visit to the restaurant and I brought it up to the girl working there and she rolled her eyes to the next girl working, ( apparently its her uncle) ,the girl working needs to change her attitude, towards customers I've been to this place plenty of times and it's the second time with poor attitude from the same girl, kindness goes a long way be humble read more

Look when it comes to food I get picky. I'm from LA so I live for Belizean food and Jamaican food. There are not the same but similar. My family cooks authentic food because it's who they are and where they're from. But baby this is the best damn Jamaican food I have EVER had from any restaurant EVER. From the price to portion size, the flavor and the excellent customer service. And we only waited maybe 10 mins. They will definitely get tired of seeing me. I no longer have to go to LA to get a taste of home. The prices are very reasonable but the food is so good it's easy to over spend. I did but it was worth it. read more

Pineapple Ginger drink has too much ginger. Needs to be a little less so it is not so overpowering and more balanced with the pineapple. The Passion Punch drink is good as is, good flavor and all. They are made fresh and you can tell. read more

First Jamaican food experience for us. First of all, the ladies are the counter were very nice and friendly, so A+ for service. This place is not really meant for a sit-down meal, but there were three chairs at the counter that we were able to use to not have to eat in the car. The food was okay, definitely large enough portions to share between 2-3 people. I wasn't as blown away by flavors/texts as some other reviewers but taste is personal I guess. The jerk chicken had nice flavors and low-medium spice level. The problem was that there were multiple bone shards so we ate very carefully... The patties were just okay in my opinion. The filling is very processed into some sort of meaty mush. read more

Let me tell yall this is an authentic and official taste of the island if you know you know‼ My fav is the Rasta pasta with oxtails and a couple of the fresh juices. The food is good but the customer service lady either needs better customer service training or they need to work on their phone line or she must get fired and hire someone with better customer service. I call to order escovish fish and three more big plate. and she put me on hold longer than 5 minutes. After calling back the phone just won't work.? Mi call back 4 time Please don't follow that disgusting tradition with the women acting like you a baddah dem fi order dyam food. Man I can't stand rude people man i irks my soul. Please do something about this owners I will happily give my money to an organization that treats me well. I cook my own Jamaican food but it would be nice to take a break and go to yall. read more

The food here is amazing. I had just came back from Jamaica and was craving some island food. I came across this restaurant on Google Maps and have been hooked ever since. The Jamaican beef and chicken patties are delicious. I also tried the jerk chick, rice and peas, plantains, cabbage, yams, mac n cheese and the beverages they were all amazing. Also, some of the juices sold here are from the islands as well. So happy to have something close that is consistent. read more

So you're paying full price for half a drink, while being served unsafe food. This place shows zero care for customers or basic food safety. Please protect your health, save your money, and stay away from this restaurant.

I came in today and there was a super sweet teen working the front whom you can tell was trying her best, now I'm never the one to leave reviews but it broke my heart hearing how an older worker was treating her, she was micromanaging her on even the slightest thing she was doing "wrong" which honestly coming from a customer she wasn't even doing anything incorrectly or anything I would get upset at personally, and I just think as a coworker that's all you are and you should know your place as a coworker, not a manager, respectfully. And honestly I saw that young girl working harder than the other grown woman. Some people just have no control anywhere else in their life and the second they gain the slightest bit of authority they abuse it, the young girl was even sweet and understanding of her "mistakes," and I think the woman knows she's understanding which is why she's treating her like this. And I know I wasn't the only person in the room thinking this because another customer had gotten into an altercation with the coworker over this same situation. Hopefully that young girl knows shes doing an amazing job and I admire her hard work especially being so young! I know how it is to have to work at a young age, and I hope your coworker can learn to put herself in your shoes. You are so beautiful and worthy of respect and I hope those around you learn to treat you with the respect that you deserve. If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food with fresh flavor and solid portions, this spot definitely delivers. The oxtails were extremely tender and cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of rich gravy poured over them. The rice and peas were well prepared and flavorful -- you could actually taste the coconut milk, which gave it that authentic homemade touch. The Rasta pasta was cooked properly with a nice texture and creamy consistency. The only thing it needed was just a tad more seasoning to really make the flavors stand out.
