Just ordered beef nilaga, bangus bell my favorite , sweet and sour chicken. todayi ate the beef nilaga first ( beef broth) and it was a perfect 10 HOME RUN, for me.. as if it's like grandma's cooking. The broth is 10/10 to my palate you can taste the beef and the flavors of the veggies. all the veggies are cooked perfectly, no need for fish sauce, salt etc i even forget about my diet i ate with extra rice. I recently had the pleasure of ordering food at Kusina and I must say, the food was exceptional! The owners are very friendly and helpful. I called in my order ahead of time and picked it up 20 minutes later. Their Inasal, Kare-Kare, and Lechon Kawali were all delicious and we also enjoyed their Halo-Halo for dessert. Update!! So I did try to make it more crispier and add seasoning and lemon. But it's literally the type of meat they used. It tastes like sweet shredded meat. And my husband was not a fan of all the fatty pieces. I literally could not finish my plate from the night we got it up til now. We will not be back and I do not recommend. Was able to stop by here today and the food was pretty good for a first experience. The storefront is pretty unassuming and upon entering you see it's meant for to go orders. Met who I think are the owners and they were very nice and friendly. We had a nice sampling of the pinoy menu and all we had was good with the standouts being the grilled squid plate and the bibinka. I've been waiting to finally try this and I am sooo disappointed. This place won't make it long unfortunately.First and most importantly , I am 8 Months pregnant and the Mac and cheese had such a chemical taste ! It was absolutely bad . I threw up and have such a bad taste in my mouth . So does my husband now who tried it : I took one bite !! The fried fish had no flavor the shrimp were absolutely not jumbo shrimp as advertised. The picture below was 17$! For what? One piece of fish cut into 4? The shrimp was chewy and overdone.
