First of all, to have this type of gem locally is amazing! Rude Jerk is serving up savory, smoky, and flavorful dishes that truly hit the spot. The jerk chicken was tender and packed with bold Caribbean flavor. The rice and peas were fluffy, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the meal. The chicken patties were flaky and filled with that rich, bold Caribbean flavor that reminds you of the Jamaican dishes you crave. My only feedback is to plan accordingly because they do sell out of items quickly. Nonetheless, the service was nice, timely, and everything was made to order. Definitely worth checking out!

I was in the area ( area meaning Menifee) and was hungry. I took a little drive up the 215 and headed to Perris. I got there close to 12, I believe they open at 11:30. Customer service was good. I ordered the Jerk Chicken entree. You get to chose your rice and a side. I got rice and peas and Rasta pasta. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. I was going to sit and eat it there but they automatically bagged it up. Welp... now I had to wait til I got home. I will say the serving is generous. Generous on the chicken and rice. My plate also came with 1 little lonely plantain haha. Chicken was good and omg the smoke flavor from the bbq. It's been a minute since I've tasted anything from a grill. That alone had me doing the happy dance. The jerk has slight heat, and was finger licking good ;-). The chicken is chopped up whole chicken so be careful of some bones here and there. I liked the rice and peas and drizzled some jerk sauce on it which made it better to me. The Rasta Pasta was just ok. They didn't give me enough to really judge it'. It needed a dab more seasoning for me. Oh and that plantain was tired.. it had to go. It definitely wasn't freshly made, tasted like a left over piece, or it wasn't ripe enough. All I know was it was dry and tough. Would I recommend them, absolutely and I plan on coming back when I'm in the "area"

Stopped by to pick up an order of Rasta Pasta and an Oxtail plate with white rice and I enjoyed every bite!!! The oxtail was that "fall off the bone" kind of yum!!! The staff here are pleasant and quick with service. The store was busy when I stopped by early evening, the parking was almost full and designated for the surrounding businesses. Dining area is limited but I am sure that if they expand at some point, they would definitely increase their sales!! Many people waiting on their orders. This store stayed busy yet seemed well maintained. It would not be spacious enough to accommodate large groups but don't let that be the reason to miss out on their food! Definitely a place for that tasty Jamaican food you will crave for every now and then!

Was in the area picking up my daughter's bf from train station and decided to try this place out, since I've been craving some Jamaican food! Definitely worth it. Service was ok. Very small place. Drove the food 30 minutes home it was still warm and absolutely delicious.

Love Jamican Food. We ordered two items. oxtail strew. It was one of the best we had at a restaurant. We also had jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was cooked on a outdoor bbq. However I feel what we got was overcooked and dry. Definitely would not get jerk chicken there again. Also had the corn fritters and ours was dense. Maybe it just was not mixed properly that day. Ae far ae jerk chicken the lady next to me was enjoying hers. I'm sure it can be hard to consistently cook all chicken same on the grill and I jusy happen to get the overcooked chicken. Wife loved the oxtail stew so 4 stars for that. Did not expect small dinning area. As far as service we got our food in good time. Maybe Ontario is better. Well see.......

First off, the portion sizes were on point. I was shocked at how much food I received. I ordered a side of your chicken and a side of steamed veggies and I couldn't even finish it all. That's a good starting point. The steamed veggies - everyone has steamed veggies. They're all made pretty similar yet These were the best veggies I think I've ever had. Idk ‍ , they were steamed veggies, but the flavor and texture was jumping out of my bowl. I really enjoyed the jerk chicken as well. I loved the char on my chicken and it had a nice jerk barbecue sauce with it. Hands down this was one of the better Jamaican meals I've had in the I.E. I'll definitely be back to try other stuff now. I would recommend you try other things as well.

This place is amazing!! I drove from Riverside to come check this place out, called in my order, and within 10 mins it was ready. The jerk chicken plate was amazing, the sides were delish, the plantains were 10/10, and so were the steamed veggies. They have lots of good options for drinks too! Next time I come back, definitely want to try the oxtails. It's hard to come by authentic Jamaican food in the IE, so i highly recommend to come check this place out!!

I finally had a chance to stop by and try this place out. The place is small with a small table to sit while you wait. There is no seating unless the small table is available, enough room for 2 or 3 for a tight fit. There are some small tables outside however with the summer heat and no shade or umbrellas to help the metal seats and table cool, sitting outside was not an option for us. The service was good we greeted by the cashier and later one of the cooks. Very nice and friendly staff made us feel very welcomed. The food was delicious, seasoned well we ordered the Stew chicken with sweet yams along with rices and peas. The chicken was so flavorful and the rice was a good choice in sides to go with the rice. The yams were my favorite, sweet and buttery!! Overall, the experience was good, the food was delicious and I would definitely go again. The only downfall is the pricing, I felt the dishes were overpriced for a takeout kind of place with limited to no sitting.

I ordered a party tray of jerk chicken that was very decently priced, I was hoping it was going to be good and it didn't disappoint. I'm beyond EXCITED to see my kinda ppl with a restaurant near by ( closest was Colton ) so to see a Jamaican restaurant open in Perris was very exciting!! The place is small and reminds me of typical jerk huts you'd see in states with more West Indian ppl buttt let's get into the food ! The food definitely has the flavor, the spicy level feel like they may be catering a little for the local as in don't want to kill dem wit peppa so the scotch bonnet might not be there like you typically see bbuuttt that doesn't change the food is very good I've been back to try their: Curry goat 9/10 ( missing the heat I'm use to ) Brown stew. 10/10 Beef Pattie 10/10 Overall definitely worth the visit and I'll beck!!! I can't believe I'd not already did a review! I visited on Valentines and it was in the mid afternoon. It wasn't crowded at all but supplies limited. I recall this because I live about 3 hours away, searching for restaurants in the area I was visiting, the excitement and skepticism to see a Jamaican spot.. I wanted everything! Unfortunately, there was a party that called in a catering order (that day) and purchased ALL the patties. So that was a disappointment... BUT.. I had the oxtail plate with the yams and yes ma'am!!! Tore that plate down. And I eats Jamaican food, from Jamaica to the states. I was very happy with the quality, size and price was decent as well. I'm only mad I don't have them closer to me! Now, contrary to my boyfriend who had the Jerk chicken plate with the Rasta pasta. The pasta 10/10 but the jerk was ok. I believe the way the chicken was cut, the bones shattered so there were shards of bones while he was trying to eat it. Also, we had to buy a ton of the jerk sauce. A ton. He says 4.5-5/10.

Im filipino and my culture loves the oxtail especially in our kare kare but the oxtail at Rude Jerk Jamaican kitchen takes it to another level. The menu kinda caters to all and then some. If you see my photos I had wings, oxtail plate with rice and beans, plaintains, rasta pasta (delicious), and a Sorrel Slushie. Being out here in California I dont think I ever been in a Jamaican store front before that sold food so anytime and every time I see Jamaican food being sold I am 100% sold so Rude Jerk is it! From Jerk Chicken, chicken and beef patties , curry and much more what can you ask for! Location for sitting down is not that great so if you try to get intimate with someone this place aint it other than you taking food to dine out or have some me time like me and sit in a little ol table by yourself and write a review. Service is top notch and how food is delivered out to you is superb. I witnessed them handle and diffuse a situation with a needy customer and service is top quality. Overall my oxtail plate was super delicious...spice was good and flavor was off the wall. I love me with oxtail that has meat and not fatty. The protein and rice ratio was plenty. If you are ever in Perris make sure this is your first stop!

The Ox tails were trimmed right, had a great flavor and were very tender. The rice and peas were flavorful and moist. They threw in a free soda with the order. I would definitely order again. Went to check out the new location in Ontario. Let me start off by saying the staff in there were super friendly. The hispanic cashiers were super nice. Ok here's my review. I ordered the oxtail plate with white rice and the festival bread and I got a beef patty. I waited awhile before i got my food. I guess they were making more festival bread. so while i was waiting, the owners brother saw that i had been waiting awhile so he walked over and gave me 2 free drinks. That was really nice. Well i finally got my food and was a little disappointed. The oxtails were cut into little pieces with barely meat on the bones. The flavor and tenderness of the oxtail were good ( the little meat that was on the bones ) the festival bread was a little burnt . The beef patty was very good. I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu another day read more

To have a jerk spot so close has to be the dream, ever since Ive been back in California I haven't really been able to indulge in food like I want because being from New York you get a diversity of different foods. So when I discovered Rude Jerk it brought me joy. The customer Service was A1 , The person who took our order was shell and she was amazing she gave us samples to try the different varieties of food to see what we wanted. We so badly wanted, needed even wanted this food to be great. We went on a Sunday close to close of business. Placed order for Curry chicken, Stewed chicken, pasta, cabbage, and rice. Curry not curry-ing spicy, too spicy..no Yankee palette too darn hot. Stewed chicken salty and also scorching our taste buds..they did not give us our cabbage, rasta pasta over cooked and no flavor all spice and although we phoned to let them know..it doesn't matter..nah..we not going back. Let me start by saying -- this place is worth the 2-hour drive. The jerk chicken was flavorful, delicious, and had just the right amount of heat. We ordered two plates: one with rice and peas & festival, and the other with rice and peas & rasta pasta, along with a side of veggies, one of each patty, and two Tings. Everything was cooked and seasoned beautifully -- not one miss. Shoutout to the man manning the grill -- he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in his food. The only minor hiccup was with online ordering. Gravy was listed as a side option, but at pickup we were told it usually isn't offered separately due to container limitations. Thankfully, the grill master found a workaround and put it in a different container -- much appreciated. Amazing food, great vibes, and absolutely worth the drive. Next time, I'm definitely adding a side of plantains! read more

This business is selling Beef Neckbones as Ox tails. I got home yesterday and was disappointed! No Sir, the bone was not like clean. A fork was used to remove the meat to reveal the Beef Neck Bone. You are not using high quality Ox tails. What I purchased yesterday was NOT Oxtails. Customers are going to open their plates before leaving. Your Beef Neckbones were shown to my Administration's mother who is a Chef. The Chef confirmed that I was sold Beef Neckbones and not Oxtails. But it is all good! I am not going to argue. Got the oxtail plate with both beef and chicken patties. The patties were a solid 10/10 and perfectly flaky. The oxtails were about an 8.5/10 a little on the fatty side, but the sauce and seasoning were easily 10/10 and made up for it. I also tried the jerk sauce, which surprised me because it was way sweeter than expected? I was definitely looking for more heat, but I'm guessing they tone it down a bit for the local peeps. Overall though, great spot with fast service. I'll definitely be back to try the brown stew chicken next time! read more

Nice looking place- it's really small but nice advertising -looks first class. The jerk chicken was tasty, but just over spicy! Burns your mouth. The cabbage was good again. It tasted like it was spice a little too much! But the price tag really slaps you around!!. It was almost $25 for a quarter piece of chicken, cabbage and some fried banana slices. I think they're trying to get all the money at once! They gotta earn the money first! I don't think this place is quite there yet. I'd pass on them next time. read more

First and foremost, no one working at Rude Jerk Kitchen (RJK) is rude. They are kind, hospitable, and aim to please! Craving Jamaican food, I lucked out in finding RJK. Near close, they were pretty much sold out (good sign). I was able to score spicy jerk shrimp (they make it milder as well...I asked for some), rice and peas, yams, a banana pudding and pink Ting It was all well made, and delicious. I hate that this place is a little hidden its in the corner so I've never seen it before. When I looked up the address I was able to find it. Today I ordered the oxtail plate for around $30 Oxtail is always pricey but it was worth it. Super delicious and tender I got it with all veggies but it does come with rice and a side. The lady who took my order was nice and getting my plate did not take long. Based off this one plate I'd recommend and I have to go back to try the jerk chicken or some other protein. read more

August 5, 2026 was my very first eating at this restaurant. I ordered the oxtails and the stew chicken. The food was amazing! My dessert was the carrot cake. It was the best carrot cake I've had in many years! What was most impressive was the customer service from "Chell". She was very kind to my family and I. Chell was also very helpful in helping us make our dinner choices. Her excellent customer service and tasty food will certainly make me a repeat customer. read more

Food is ALWAYS great! However, food is not consistent . I've visited the Perris location multiple times this year and have yet to purchase a beef patty. I tried expressing my concerns to staff especially since beef patties are a staple of Jamaican restaurants. It's like going out for burgers but told, we're out of fries. Or going out for pizza and being told we're out of pepperoni . But on THREE occasions . Like! You start to feel disrespected. Too bad they don't realize this is actually a compliment. For someone to take the time to complain, means the beef patties are so delicious, that people will drive 30 miles just to get a beef patty ( not JUST beef patties) but THREE times in one year. So, we decided to try the Ontario location yesterday , only to be told at 5:30 on a Sunday that " we only have jerk chicken left for the day". We just left. So far we haven't tried the new location in Ontario. We tried yesterday but...... Nah we went home and cooked. read more

Ordered for my birthday party. Jerk chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, and pasta pasta. Food was received hot & on time. Flavors and quality was consistent with my prior meals at the space. My guest thought we cooked at home and were shocked to learn it was catered! Party was for 60 people and barely anything remained at the end of the night. I had to give out the business info repeatedly all this week after getting texts asking where the food came from. Kudos to the owner and kitchen staff for taking excellent care of us. Also..the vegetable patties are DELICIOUS...had one while they packed my items. read more

Ok let me tell you something, the oxtail plate is hands down the most amazing Caribbean flavored master piece out in the west!!! This is my second time coming here. I ALWAYS get the oxtail plate and the WINGS!!!the wings are done to perfection! You can tell they get quality meat and that is so important to me!!! The food is decent but the young lady that is in the front, taking the orders, is rude and has no customer service presence. She has an attitude like she doesn't want to be there. This has been on multiple visits. She sits below the counter and you hardly know she is there when you walk in. The first impression was she put the rude in rude jerk. Pun intended. read more

Place is great, drive almost 30 minutes for it. The oxtail, curry and jerk chicken super tasty. First time I came, I brought more folks a few days later. Spice level is great. Wish there was seating but makes sense with the little space they have since im coming from a different city but its not a big deal to me. Great food! For the price you get a good amount of food I definitely left full my only complaint is there's Limited seating and they don't have a restroom for customers. Many of us that work out in the field go to take a break eat use the restroom and wash your hands before eating. read more

The service was great. The food was a bit below average. I got the brown stew chicken because they were out of oxtails and rice and a couple of other items. It was around 6:00pm. The workers were very apologetic, but you never get a second chance to make a first impression. I drove 20 minutes out of my way and it wasn't worth it. My chicken wasn't hot it was more sweet than spicy cut up chicken drum sticks and the plantains were hot dark in color and they were a bit burnt tasting. The bread was really good. I still haven't found a Jamaican restaurant that is better than Milton's on Slauson in L.A they closed years ago. I will go back to try it again. I went back today and got the oxtails plate. Everything is delicious. I got there early around 4Pm. Great job guys. Thank you read more

Food was very hot and fresh. The establishment was very clean. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the jerk chicken had BBQ sauce instead of jerk sauce. That's the point of jerk chicken other than that the chicken was flavorful and you can tell it was grilled to perfection I just really wanted that authentic tangy spicy jerk sauce. I rated it a 5 because of the Jerk chicken, beef pattie and fried wings which looked like they came off of a turkey were awesome. The service was also awesome. The only not even complaint is I had the rasta pasta and that was even good but the red beans and rice was my letdown. I ate here for the first time yesterday and was greatly disappointed. I ordered oxtail over rice and peas with my side being Rasta pasta. I'll start with the Rasta pasta. It had spice but not flavor and the sauce was runny like water. The portion size was extremely small. Literally maybe a tablespoonful. The oxtail tasted extremely salty like they used lawrys season salt. I did not taste the usual Jamaican spices or flavor that traditional oxtail tastes like and it was very Americanized in flavor. All salt, no flavor. It was also extremely oily. The portion size was good though. Overall I will give them a 4.5-5/10 on those food items. I may go back to try their jerk chicken. Maybe that's their specialty? P.S. $70 for 2 plates is OUTRAGEOUS. read more

I visited this establishment for the 1st time today & I must say EVERYTHING was on point! I got the Jerk Chicken combo with rice & peas & yams. They don't skimp on the portion size either. I also ordered some meat patties to go & that curry chicken was fire. I will def be back to try other items on the menu. I came in today and there was a super sweet teen working the front whom you can tell was trying her best, now I'm never the one to leave reviews but it broke my heart hearing how an older worker was treating her, she was micromanaging her on even the slightest thing she was doing "wrong" which honestly coming from a customer she wasn't even doing anything incorrectly or anything I would get upset at personally, and I just think as a coworker that's all you are and you should know your place as a coworker, not a manager, respectfully. And honestly I saw that young girl working harder than the other grown woman. Some people just have no control anywhere else in their life and the second they gain the slightest bit of authority they abuse it, the young girl was even sweet and understanding of her "mistakes," and I think the woman knows she's understanding which is why she's treating her like this. And I know I wasn't the only person in the room thinking this because another customer had gotten into an altercation with the coworker over this same situation. Hopefully that young girl knows shes doing an amazing job and I admire her hard work especially being so young! I know how it is to have to work at a young age, and I hope your coworker can learn to put herself in your shoes. You are so beautiful and worthy of respect and I hope those around you learn to treat you with the respect that you deserve.
