Easily one of the best burgers in Toronto. They smash the burger so that their thin, and the best part is, the CRISPY edges! Would highly recommend this place. Prices are very reasonable as well Also, because they only put certain toppings on the burger, it really let's the burger shine through I also had the fried chicken sandwich, and personally, I prefer the burgers by far over these chickwich. This spot is hidden on a side street at Osgoode station , ironically enough their large and bold RUDY sign may catch your eye ! I came here after seeing pictures of this smash burger on my Instagram feed and the smells coming off the burger were delicious ! The flavours were pretty standard - like a backyard burger. I'm a big fan of Rudy's original location on College Street and couldn't wait for this new location to open. They initially did a soft lunch opening last week (11am-3pm) and have since extended their hours until 9pm most evenings. We stopped by around 6pm for a quick bite and found the small space crammed with people. There's definitely a limited amount of seating inside but there are benches outside where you can munch on your burger. The kitchen is also small so the menu is reduced and consists simply of the Rudy (cheeseburger), Rude Dude (double cheeseburger) and fries. Prices are standard fare - $6.49, $8.99 and $3.49 respectively. I've been told they will increase the menu items over time. We ordered one of each burger and skipped the fries. The burgers were as expected - deliciously flavoured, juicy and with just the right amount of grease. The flavours were excellent and you could tell the beef chuck was fresh and not processed. While the prices are a little on the expensive side, it's roughly the same as you'd expect to pay at the likes of Burgers Priest down the street. They're clearly working some of the kinks out and refining things a little, but I'm sure the new location will do great! read more

TL;DR: One of the best burgers you can get on the west end, in the Entertainment District of Toronto. Rudy is situated on a quieter street off of Queen St. West. I haven't heard many people talk about this place so far, so be sure to try it out before the hype catches up and it gets super busy. Don't let the look of the place fool you--the interiors are low-key, but the burgers are high-key the best I've tried in Toronto so far. If you enjoy Shake Shack in USA, these are a very comparable option. I'd recommend the Double Cheeseburger and the fries. Definitely, a must try burger spot if you're in the area! read more

Small little space! Only two spots for seating. Meant to be as a takeout fast burger. The flavours go amazing together. The single part is small, but good with a combo of fries. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Rudy earlier. If you like Shake Shack in the US, this is the same great taste. Delicious melt in your mouth burgers. They also have a solid poutine loaded with cheese curds and thick cut fries. The chicken burger is also very good, with a thick cut of white meat juicy chicken. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. They only have three things to choose from really fries/poutine, choice between 2 hamburgers, and one fried chicken burger. We got everything on the menu lol. Burgers were amazing!! If you've ever had shake shack in the states you'll definitely like these. Fried chicken was spicy but delicious, and poutine was average tbh. Not the best burger in town so I didn't give it a 4. It's better than the burger factory shop around the corner on Queen that's for sure! Its a tiny stop by food store with a few stools to overlook the window. I ordered the double cheese burger with everything included..it was fresh and super cheesy but the beef patties inside were quite thin so I wouldn't recommend the single. Also I'd recommend to double up on the lettuce and tomatoes. If ur looking for a quick grab'n'go bite. But will I be coming here again? Most likely not. Friendly staff and Perfect burgers. It has a few bar stools for eat in but it seems like it's mostly meant for takeout. The burgers were the main focus here. Patties were melt in your mouth (similar to Shake Shack). Weren't a big fan of their fries (shoestring type) but they were still decent. We got a chocolate shake as well and that was well worth it. I've been itching to try Rudy's ever since they opened up their location on Duncan and I was not disappointed. I made my order on Ritual because ain't nobody got time to wait in line. I appreciate the simple menu and I think it lends to the quality food that they serve. First time trying Rudy, it wasn't our preferred burger type. The burger size is extremely small (making it a pretty expensive burger), patty extremely flat and a bit dry. We also got the poutine and wasn't impressed, but this is likely due to time to drive home which caused fries to get soggy/ gravy not hot enough to melt cheese. My friend recommended it, and I read the Yelp reviews before ordering but I'm super disappointed by the result. I ordered from Uber Eats, first thing noticed is the bottom of the bag is melted open by the grease. All my food is stacked one on top of another. (I did see a review mentioning their food were all stacked together and squished) The Rude Dude burger (12 dollars) is super small, like kids meal. Super disappointed. The Valentino burger (10 dollars) chicken piece is almost two times the size than the bun, which is a relief. Might be due to the delivery time, it's not crispy anymore, inside seems to be grilled which is nice, but a bit salty. 5 dollar fries tastes just like McDonalds, super small like 1cm thick. Not worth it. Also had the 3 dollar brownies, small piece 8cm side square with like 3 cm thick. Tastes standard. I prefer High Priest so much more!!! At least their double patty burger can last me almost two meals. The Rude Dude Burger is like High Priest's single patty burger. I don't understand why people review and said "the taste is totally worth it even though it's super small", because I'm pretty sure many other burgers I had around 10 dollar are as good. Two stars because the burgers and fries are pretty good, although I can't agree that it's the best burger in Toronto as a burger reviewer said online. I preferred Burger's Priest. My problems were that there was a hair in a burger I got, and the vanilla shake was so-so and more frozen solid like ice cream than liquid like a shake. I also found the staff to be a bit rude. The best "smashed" style burger I've had in Toronto, maybe ever. Other reviewers compare it to Shake Shack which is doing it a massive disservice, Rudy's burgers blow Shake Shack out of the water and are on par or better than an "animal style" In n Out. Incredibly juicy, cheesy and simple - exactly what I wanted and better than I could have expected. To me, simplicity is key for burger joints and Rudy delivers with just fivethings on the menu at the Duncan St location, all done pretty much perfectly: a single patty burger, a double, and a burger with bacon; Fries; Poutine (get it. it's incredible). After the first bite I knew 100% I was ordering another one.
