Whether it was for a service or consultation/estimate, Mark has been patient to hear me out through my million questions and explain each process. He's never tried to pressure me to do a service I didn't need and their pricing is quite reasonable. He even threw in a brake inspection and O2 sensor test at no extra charge since I was already in for the valve adjustment! I'm most happy to have found a mechanic that actually listens to my concerns - thanks to Mark for being so sweet! Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

They replaced my intake manifold gasket, BUT a P0200 engine code appeared afterward. I went back the next day and explained the issue. They told me they had left an injector unplugged and instructed me to clear the code, saying it would reset. The code was P0200, so I followed their instructions and cleared it. The code went away. The next day, I drove the car and it suddenly started shaking while sitting at red lights -- something it had never done in the five years I've owned this car. I checked the engine codes again, and P0200 had returned. I went back again and explained what I had experienced. They then told me that, in order to address the P0200 issue, they would first have to start by checking for vacuum leaks. This is where I became frustrated. P0200 is an injector circuit malfunction code, so I didn't understand why I was being told that I needed to start with vacuum leaks in order to address that specific code. I had already paid $500 for the initial service, and now I was dealing with a new engine code and a new shaking issue that the car had never had in the five years I've owned it. After declining any further service, I picked up my car from the shop. I then noticed a scratch along with a missing piece of rubber trim on my front bumper. I had not noticed either issue before bringing my car to the shop. The shop claimed they did not hit anything with the car, but they are also ordering me a replacement rubber piece. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. As a first-time customer, I came in expecting to have my original issue addressed, paid $500 for the service, and left with a new engine code, a new shaking issue, and damage/missing trim that I had not noticed before bringing the car in. Based on my experience, I won't be returning. I would recommend that anyone considering this shop be aware of what happened to me and carefully inspect their vehicle before leaving the shop. My total was $103 (oil change and they topped my coolant for an additional $6). I know I probably would've saved about $40 going to Jiffy Lube with a coupon but I really liked the convenience of not needing to leave my car. I was helped by London and Alex and the service I received from them was exceptional. I was offered a few other services for additional charge and the pricing weren't bad - but it was over 90 degrees today and all I really wanted to do was be able to get my oil changed quickly so I could turn my air conditioner back on. I received a list of recommendations on a few part replacements so I probably would go back soon to get it done. Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Hacienda Heights is a 10/10.

Then the other lane finished early and the young woman motioned my mother to come in. This young woman had short hair and glasses i think? My older mother bless her heart tried to figure out how to pull out of the building at a weird angle and into the next lane took literally five minutes but nobody else was in line and the woman motioning us in was shaking her head in disapproval which is very misleading and confusing since you are supposed to be using hand signals to SAFELY guide us in. You continued to shake your head in disapproval for the entire scenario while still motioning to pull the car in. Is she doing it right or is she not? Id appreciate clarity without the attitude thanks. A little respect for a woman who used her day off to come to this location she thought was a friendly establishment. You continued to shake your head in disapproval even after she parked inside the building as you walked away. You literally left my old mom frowning she didn't like that experience which should have been a slam dunk for all of you. Id recommend checking your customer service attitude and learn some patience. The sheer rudeness was blatant and I wont be sitting in the car watching you disrespect my mother ever again.

I'd give Rudy's 6 stars if i could. Rudy, Bernie and the rest of the staff are awesome! Better Than The Best!!! My 1994 Toyota Pickup was overheating. I was shocked at the HIGH quote i got from Pep Boys for a new water pump and fan clutch + labor (parts were marked up over 300% vs. their retail for the same parts. I elected to buy the parts and do the repairs myself. Upon seeing how involved the repairs were and not having access to all my tools (had just moved out of state and most of my tools were already moved) I decided to try to find a place that might do the work using the parts I had already purchased. I did a YELP! search of nearby auto repair shops and chose Rudy's based on the reviews. I called and explained my situation to Rudy. He agreed to do the repairs using my parts and therefore quoted me for labor only (at about half the cost of PEP Boys labor). He offered to change my belts too if I brought new ones, since he had to remove the old ones to do the work. Excellent suggestion and a surprising offer as most mechanics would have nickel and dimed me for it. The water pump i bought had the wrong fan on it and I had forgotten one of the 3 belts. Rudy not only gave me a ride to return the bad part, he also gave me a ride to another store to get the correct part and the other belt i forgot to buy. He and his staff went out of their way to help me. The work was completed in a timely fashion for a much lower price than anywhere else and the service was PHENOMENAL to say the least. He noticed another problem with the engine head which i had also seen (from me overheating the engine and still driving it) and recommended an engine shop that was just as friendly and fair. He not only stored my truck overnight so i could get it the the engine shop, but he had one of his staff give me a ride to where i was staying, almost 10 miles away. WOW! Thank you Rudy and Bernie!!! I recommend Rudy's to anyone looking for a knowledgeable (over 25 yrs), trustworthy, friendly mechanic who isn't in the business of gouging their customers. I will be using him for all my Cali. A real small shop, I never really noticed before, now I wish I knew about it along time ago because I had such a good experience! I had a diagnostic test to pinpoint the problem and was told approximately $180 to repair so I left with my paperwork. Purchased the part elsewhere for like 4xs less and called places just to install the sensor and most places estimated 1-1.5hrs of labor, cost ranging $80-$125 and this is just labor! I called Rudy's less than 1hr before closing, next day was work day, early commute and late returning and he let me bring in my vehicle, I think that was so very understanding, other places turned me away 2hrs before closing. Took less than 30mins from start to finish and he charged me a fraction of what I was quoted from other places. Even he said that was outrageous and should only take a few minutes, I am so glad I made the call to Rudy's and I will definitely go back because he was just HONEST, Even though he was near closing he took the time to explain to me, tested it in front of me so I would have peace of mind. I am new to California and needed some recommended work done on my BMW. My neighbor has a large trucking company, so I thought he would be able to give me a good recommendation. He referred me to Rudy's. I am so happy I have a mechanic...Rudy is very trustworthy, honest ,fair and reliable. His prices were about a third less than a quote I had gotten from another place. He was able to get BMW parts the very same day. Rudy also found a few other minor issues that he fixed at no cost! I plan on using Rudy's in the future for all my car care. Rudy is like our knight in shining armor after being ripped off by another auto repair shop and returned our car without reverse after spending more than a thousand dollars trying to fix it. Rudy is a good man, sincere, has solid work ethic, has excellent diagnostic skill and willing to go an extra mile to help his customers. I would absolutely recommend Rudys. After being without my car for a month thanks to another mechanic who then could not fix my vehicle, Rudy was willing to take on the job. I have to say that his service is steller and he really knows what he is doing. I also liked that he kept me updated with everything that needed to be done. Due to his exce[tional job my car is running like a brand new car,. I really appreciate him taking on the previously unfinished job because I thought I was going to have to purchase another car. I couldn't b more thankful for Rudy!! Someone messed with my car & I was searching everywhere to get it fixed. Everyone was so expensive & didn't seem to care. The 2nd I talked to Rudy he knew I was upset, he calmed me down from literally crying & told me don't worry we'll get it fixed. & he didn't charge me an arm & a leg. I have been taken advantage by mechanics because I am a young college student that does not know a lot about cars, and so I can be very naive. My dad first recommended them to me and said they are trust worthy shop to go to. He was right about that. I took my Honda civic in for an AC issue and Ayeme was able to find it was under warranty and recommended me to a trust worthy dealership to have it fixed. I had visit other dealership around my area that made it difficult just to inspect my car, but at L&T it was a smooth process and I was greeted with smiles and professionalism which I appreciate. I stopped going to L&T since I moved further away but now this shop will be my primary go to moving forward. I will gladly drive a bit further to have the assurance my car will be taken care of.
