    EJs auto repair in walnut

Thanks Pete ! I am so grateful I found this place! My car took broke down had a bunch of issues I'd never knew until I brought it here . It was unbelievable that not even the dealership told me the electrical was not working , my warranty didn't cover the repairs , I was so worried scared and overwhelmed with anxiety . But Pete gave me a piece of mind , I immediately felt I found trust that I was in good hands leaving my car here. He was very honest and straight to the point no dilly dally around the truth like most autobodys or dealerships. Just look at my engine I found my new mechanic, and will refer anyone to come here 100%. I'm so grateful with the services I received .

Pete is extremely knowledgeable, professional and fair. I bring my 3 series for all repairs and will continue to bring it here for all future work. I highly recommend him for all your European cars. He even detailed my car and engine for me. It's attention to details like this that make a good business.

Pete really helped me out with my e30's brake system. He was really informative and had a lot of insight on some problems I had no idea I had. Needless to say I'll be coming back, thanks again Pete!

Erik has been servicing my 2006 e90 since 2009 and still driving it up until today with 210,000 miles and runs like brand new. He's very meticulous with how he performs all repair and maintenance in the car. Very honest and thorough in explaining whats going on with your vehicle as he has great knowledge with all european cars, i mean the guy worked on ferraris, bmw, porsche!....and so on. I take my cars here knowing i would have peace of mind that they will be well taken care off. I call him "doc" because he treats cars as if they are his patients.

I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

As a first-time customer, I brought my '79 El Camino to this shop because the car was idling high…read more After the service, I paid $500. They replaced my intake manifold gasket, BUT a P0200 engine code appeared afterward. I went back the next day and explained the issue. They told me they had left an injector unplugged and instructed me to clear the code, saying it would reset. The code was P0200, so I followed their instructions and cleared it. The code went away. The next day, I drove the car and it suddenly started shaking while sitting at red lights -- something it had never done in the five years I've owned this car. I checked the engine codes again, and P0200 had returned. I went back again and explained what I had experienced. They then told me that, in order to address the P0200 issue, they would first have to start by checking for vacuum leaks. This is where I became frustrated. P0200 is an injector circuit malfunction code, so I didn't understand why I was being told that I needed to start with vacuum leaks in order to address that specific code. I had already paid $500 for the initial service, and now I was dealing with a new engine code and a new shaking issue that the car had never had in the five years I've owned it. After declining any further service, I picked up my car from the shop. I then noticed a scratch along with a missing piece of rubber trim on my front bumper. I had not noticed either issue before bringing my car to the shop. The shop claimed they did not hit anything with the car, but they are also ordering me a replacement rubber piece. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. As a first-time customer, I came in expecting to have my original issue addressed, paid $500 for the service, and left with a new engine code, a new shaking issue, and damage/missing trim that I had not noticed before bringing the car in. Based on my experience, I won't be returning. I would recommend that anyone considering this shop be aware of what happened to me and carefully inspect their vehicle before leaving the shop.
