They took the time to thoroughly explain the issues to our son, providing clear, detailed insights and a very fair estimate for the work needed. What stood out most was their honesty and integrity--there was absolutely no pressure to move forward with repairs. Instead, they focused on educating him and offering the best professional recommendations. Going above and beyond, Tony and his team even covered the cost of the diagnostic to support our son. When we called to insist on paying, Tony kindly declined, emphasizing that our son's safety and the reliability of the vehicle mattered more than anything else. In a world where that kind of compassion can be rare, this experience truly meant a lot to our family. Not only did they help us understand our vehicle better, but they also taught our son a valuable life lesson about integrity and kindness. We wholeheartedly recommend Tony and his team for any vehicle needs. If you're in Sedro-Woolley, Skagit Valley, or the surrounding areas, this is a local business you can trust--they genuinely care about their customers.

Stay far away from SK Motorsport -- and specifically Joe -- as well as MB Motors LLC in Bellingham…read more I paid $223.66 for a pre-purchase inspection on a BMW X5 M I was purchasing from MB Motors LLC. Because I'm located in California, I had the X5 M BMW delivered to me. Within the first two minutes of driving it, I encountered multiple serious mechanical issues -- none of which were reported in the PPI. These included a check engine light with a Cylinder 3 misfire code, a parking brake malfunction, and a drivetrain malfunction. All of this surfaced during a two-minute drive from where the car was dropped off to my home. When I respectfully explained the situation to Joe at SK Motorsport including sending him pictures and video of said issues, he informed me that scanning for check engine lights would cost $225.00 -- literally $1.34 more than I had already paid for the entire inspection. None of this was disclosed to me beforehand. It's clear to me that SK Motorsport has a financial interest in keeping MB Motors LLC happy so they can continue receiving PPI referrals from the dealership. As a result, they perform incomplete, half-hearted inspections and deliberately omit significant mechanical issues to avoid jeopardizing that relationship -- at the direct expense of the buyer. I will be sharing photos and video documenting these issues. You'll see in one of the screenshots below Joe also charged me $223.66 when he states the PPI is $205.00. Wasn't a big deal to me but another example that's shows this shop has zero integrity. Do yourself a favor and find an independent shop with no ties to the dealership before making a purchase like this. I'll attach pictures of the PPI, Pictures and videos of the issues with car right after receiving delivery as well as Joes response to the situation.

I am disabled and live on a fixed income so even though I really like my truck, this just wasn't reasonable to consider for me. I was passing PSA a couple weeks ago and on a whim stopped in to see if they said the same thing. After I explained what had happened, Dave gave me some alternatives and told me how to fix a couple things myself and saved me a lot of money I couldn't afford to pay out. He is doing the major repair on my truck now at a very large savings to me over all of the mechanics that were "positive" they were giving me the best price available and I am so confident in him I don't even need to wait for my truck to tell you how awesome a job he is doing! I have seen some of his work and talked to others who have had repairs done and have only heard good things, but even better than that is the fact that this shop has great mechanics that love what they do, take pride in their work and care about their customers. It's so refreshing to find people like Dave and a shop like Puget Sound Automotive!

The local auto parts store recommended Puget Sound Automotive and I went straight over. They were able to fit me in without an appointment - didn't even fuss about it - and correctly diagnose the problem. On top of that they were very sympathetic and treated me like a valued customer, even thought they had never met me before. Car problems can be stressful, but knowing you'll get fair and compassionate treatment helps a lot! Thanks guys, I'll be definitely be back.

She recently brought her car in for an oil change and they brought up a few other items that she should take care of, one of them being her brakes. The CSR gave her a form that listed she needed pads, rotors, and calipers to the tune of +/- $1,800. Thankfully my son was with his grandma and the suggestion of calipers struck him as odd. I am a mechanic so they had me take a look at the information provided. The Burlington Automotives mechanic that did the inspection on her car did call out her brake pads(and a few other small service items), but did not call out rotors or calipers. I did a brake job on her car and, indeed, it only needed pads with the rotors being perfectly smooth and within spec. The calipers were also in great shape with the dust seals still attached, no cracks or anything like that. We went to talk with Louis, the Store Manager, and he first said that pads and rotors are often changed together and thought it was weird the mechanic didn't call out the rotors. I stated it was because the rotors are fine. I asked about calipers and he went into a story about them potentially seizing if there is wear, again, not called out by the mechanic and the dust seals are in great shape. He then said that the CSR was "new" which is a cop out. If the person is "new", they should have oversight and that still doesn't explain how the mechanic got it right and the CSR got it wrong. When I asked what thier policy is for the hand off of information, he said the CSR should take exactly what the mechanic says BUT rotors and pads go together because It can cause uneven wear, we also dont turn rotors, we just go new. It is a real shame because this sort of things gives all mechanics a bad name. To be clear, the actual mechanic's report was on point and I think he was a fine mechanic. The CSR and Store Manager, though, should be ashamed of themselves At the end of the day, they tried to screw an old lady out of a bunch of money. Louis barely apologized, trying to make every excuse he could to get out of admitting they wronged her. They didn't have her best interest in mind.... do they have yours?

As someone who is totally clueless about cars, they were honest about what was essential versus non essential to repair so I could stay within budget and they answered all of my many questions thoughtfully, thoroughly, and with kindness. Protech mechanics made sure they didn't miss anything through their detailed inspection and diagnostics. They did not try to pull one over on me and upsell like many mechanic shops do. The cost was completely reasonable given the cost of parts and time for repairs. Additionally, they were not just going through the motions of their job, they really went the extra mile (pun intended lol) picking me up so I didn't have to walk to the shop to make my payment and get my vehicle. They go above and beyond for their customers. Everything that needed repaired with my car was repaired, I got to ride with the mechanic to ensure it was fixed and ask any last questions, and overall could not be more satisfied with this experience.
