Worst experience ever! Went to Kimmie for a modern Shag hair cut (took a picture for reference) she butchered my hair and told me I needed a keratin treatment. After she finished, I told her my hair looked nothing like the picture, and I really hated it. She told me to live with it for a week, charged me $557.00 and sent me on my way even though I was completely dissatisfied and upset. One day later I told her she needed to fix it, went back, she made it worse. I went to another salon in an attempt to fix it and paid another $175 to get it fixed. The stylist blended the layers and evened out the uneven sides but told me unfortunately I would need to let it grow out which would take 4-6 months. My hair has been up since the cut on 7/2. I relayed all of the information to her and asked her to refund me at which point she just simply ignored me. Her name is "Kimmie Chi" I researched her in an attempt to find her cosmetology license however cannot find anything under her name. Pictures worth a thousand words, 1st 2 images were the original cut, looks like she put a bowl on my head and just cut 1 layer on top and left long hair underneath. I wish I took a before and after so you could see what a great job Rumany did with my highlights. She is very experienced with color, it looks great when I put it up or back and not any weird lines. I went to her for the first time last week based on her location, reviews and prices. It's ridiculous how expensive it is to get your hair done these days, especially in the South Bay. I ended up getting a haircut too because I desperately needed it. She did a great job listening to my likes/ dislikes and gave me what I was looking for. I will definitely be coming back. As I was browsing on Instagram one day, I happened to stumble upon a picture that was about 3D microblading. I was intrigued. I looked it up, saw the results..I HAD to do it. Searched on Yelp of nearby salons that did the technique, and Rumany's (pronounced Rome-ah-knee) page came up first with all 5 stars. I did many days of just going back on her yelp page and debating if I should really pull through, and I finally made the appointment. The day came and I was SUPER nervous. I had my eyebrows tattooed before, but microblading?? Not to mention, she instructed me to take some tylenol upon arrival. The process is not short, but Rumany makes sure that you're getting EXACTLY what you want. It was a lot of back and forth about what style, shape, and thickness I wanted. I was hesitant, but I trusted her. She put some numbing cream on me, and 10 minutes later, she began her art. I honestly felt NO pain..nothing. I just heard the sounds, and I literally fell asleep..like 5x LOL. I'm a wimp with pain..so that should give you a better idea. The most painful part is probably when she let's the ink set in after she's done with the microblading. When she was finished, she gave me a mirror to check it out...and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVED IT! Rumany did an amazing job! I was smiling from ear to ear and couldn't stop looking at them. The healing process isn't the greatest..for me at least. It took maybe about a week, but the peeling and all of that was something I hated. But hey, if it looks good in the end, I'm ALL for it! I came back for my touch up a month later, and it was the same process. That time it was a bit more painful, but manageable. I researched semi-permanent makeup (eyebrows and eyeliner) for a while. I called around and after talking with Rumany I decided to go with her because she really helped me to feel at ease. On the phone she explained in details what to expect during and after and the process. On the day of she didn't rush, we went through each step and she explained everything to me. As she worked on my eyebrows all I could feel was pressure, it wasn't painful at all! I could have fallen asleep, but I was too excited! After my eyebrows she worked on my eyes, I could feel more on my eyes, but it wasn't painful, it was just uncomfortable in certain areas. When Rumany finished my eyebrows and eyeliner looked amazing!!! She is so sweet and amazing-not only did she make me feel comfortable, she stayed after her closing time to work on me! This is a LONG overdue review - I'd first found Rumany on Groupon for a Keratin Treatment. At the time, I planned to go to Europe a few weeks later and didn't want to carry with me my hair dryer and straightener. I figured getting the treatment would cut my hair drying time in half in addition to getting ready each day. I had an appointment on a Saturday and luckily for me, I was her only customer the entire day so she was able to spend a lot of time perfecting the treatment. The second I walked in, she made me feel welcomed. As she was doing the treatment, she told me the steps of what she was doing. I had a traumatic experience with a previous hair dresser where my hair was cut from waist length to shoulder length after only asking for a small trim. However, Rumany cut my hair just like I asked and the end result along with the keratin treatment was AMAZING! While she told the treatments normally last 5 months at most, mine lasted closer to 10 months. To put into more words as to how amazing she made my hair - while I was in Europe a few weeks later, our Air BnB didn't have a hair dryer so I used a standing fan to dry my hair. Not only did my hair dry straight but it didn't frizz at all. I was amazed and in love with what she did. Unfortunately I moved away from the area temporarily and had to go to another place to get my treatment done (yet again just before another trip) - however, the stylist I went to did a horrible job. My hair frizzes still and does not dry straight. Luckily for me, I am back in the South Bay and will be visiting Rumany soon to get another hair cut (and hopefully fix the second keratin treatment I got). I can honestly say that I will never trust anyone to do my hair except Rumany. She does an exceptional job and your hair is (literally) in great hands! read more

I just had 3D micro blading brow tattoo done today by Rumany and I love them! I have alopecia and lost all my brow hair, lashes and on my head (I wear wigs now) and I had my brows tattooed the traditional way with a tattoo gun and just a solid block of color back when I was in high school. I went to another place and had them touched up a little over a year ago and they have faded too. I found Rumany on Instagram and saw she does the 3D micro blading technique to make it look like you have hair. All her photos and videos look amazing so I booked a free consult first to see if my old tattoos were faded enough to have micro blading done over or I needed to remove them but they were thin enough and faded enough where I didn't need to remove them first. After that I made my appointment. The process was pretty much painless. I'd say a 1-3/10 my left brow is a little stubborn and certain areas take a little longer to numb but it was totally bearable and I barely felt anything. Most areas I felt nothing at all. I love my fuller brows and they look like they have actual hair, haven't had hair on my brows since 1996 haha. Can't wait until they heal and I go in for my touch up next month! .
