Went out for a trip to the east coast with my friends and this was the closest pub next to us. Amazing atmosphere, very welcoming staff and the environment was friendly. Food was good and we all tried darts for the first time which was really fun! We also lucked out and it happened to be trivia night which made it so much more fun. Great neighborhood spot. Everyone was friendly. The service was great. They have four televisions for me to watch weekend football, the news, and more. They even have the directv package which means Seahawks on Sunday's ( east coast games). NOO need to go into the city just come here. Glad I found this bar after the season before the playoffs and super bowl, but maybe I'll be coming here for the super bowl. I love my Seahawks and great bars. They have pool tables, darts, and the best part is they have my favorite beer; Mad Elf/Blue Moon/ even allagash. They have several beers on tap and defiantly made my Friday evening! After New Years not a lot of people, but it's always a different crowd someone told me. I meet Andy who was very friendly, ways checked up on me, even when he knew I was at my limit. It is about time for a review update. For those of you who have been following me on here, it is safe to assume that I am a huge fan of this place. I had the pleasure of meeting all the bartenders over the past two years and each and every one of them are absolutely wonderful. During the winter time, this is a head up, the bartender Lisa can make a great Hot Toddy that will warm you right up. The owner Sean---the best--words can not describe how nice he is. Large flat screen TVs---my sporting event haven---clean bar---serves bar food. On Thursday nights, it's all about Karaoke from 10pm until close. Soooooo much fun! The host Rose rocks. If you want to sing, show up early because it fills up quick. Also I must add, last year I had a surprise party for my boyfriend in the back--they have a private room if you need it---no extra charge you just need a certain amount of people to attend---Sean was more than happy to accommodate any and all off my needs and everyone who went had a blast! Spent a good chunk of my 20's there. Sean (the proprietor) is absolutely willing to harbor miscreants, so long as doing so lines his pockets. The second he deems you unprofitable, you are persona non grata. I knew better than to take this development personally. Unfortunately, he keeps a number of regulars dependent on his approval (it's a very weird scene), and you will eventually be turned away if you don't play in to his tyler-perry-esc freak show. Since there is a lack of bars in the area, mainly after hours, this is my go-to when wanting to be close to home. The place is your typical pub with your locals and such. I've recently started hanging out here again in the afternoons to watch the football games I missed on Sunday because they have a DirectTV package. Great place to watch a game be it football or soccer (read: REAL football!). Since the bar opens up ridiculously early, that's convenient for me, being a 3rd shifter and all. I used to be a regular before I moved and may very well become one again now that I'm back in the area. This bar is very inviting whether you're an early bird, happy hour/after-work drinks type of person or choose to come in late night. There's always some type of function happening there be it pool or dart league or karaoke and even an open mic night on Sundays. Moreover, being an Irish Pub, it's St. Patty's Day celebrations are second to none with traditional Irish corn beef and hash being served, Irish Dancers, a bagpiper and a never-ending free flow of Guinness from the taps, not to mention a wide assortment of other beers and micro-brews as well. I'm not sure how I ended up here but it was a pleasant surprise. My boyfriend recently moved to the area so we went out couple weeks ago to explore the neighborhood and look for a place to have a drink. THe bartender was friendly and the drinks were big! What else do we need? We had couple of drinks and a very tasty chicken tenders! Not the best place in the world, a little too dark. This place surprised me. I came here a while back when my cousin first moved to Gutenberg and it seemed like typical local pub that might give you a buyback if you buy enough rounds. Last night I went and all of sudden they set up for an open mic, more geared towards musicians, which turned out to be awesome! Who knew... The only downside is the bartender was constantly outside with customers smoking a cig, not the most attentive service but it's the trade off with such a chill bar. read more

This place has very unprofessional security to say the least. My experience with the security guard made me feel unsafe and was overall completely unreliable. One of the people in my group was intoxicated and approached the security guard to ask about why we were being carded if we had been there for hours. As my friend was leaving the conversation, the security guard yelled "F***YOU" and of course my drunk friend defended himself. I was in the middle of the both of them which in turn made me feel unsafe because the security guard was actively attempting to throw down to fight my drunk friend while sober and on the clock. Security guards are supposed to prevent fights, not start them. We did not cause any trouble in the bar and this can be proven on camera. The rest of the employees were extremely nice and helpful, the problem is the security guard, which is why our group of 6 will not be spending any more time or money on returning. I am fairly disappointed with the service as soon as the security guard started his shift. It was a good time other than that. He was very unreasonable and rude. It upset my group and I, we intended to have a celebration for a close friend's 21st birthday. We started off by playing pool and having a great time. My drunk friend decided to leave the bar for a quick cigarette and was carded as soon as he came back in. We all had to leave because the security guard started to disrespect us. We all were horrified by everything that happened afterwards, which is why we decided to write this same exact review. read more

Been coming here for 5 years, and it's been nothing short of awesome. A pleasing selections of beers, and the inclusion of craft beers is welcoming indeed.
