I'm so glad I did. I had a blast. The day I came for the event, I met one of the sweetest staff members who made me feel so welcome, her name was Kelsey. Today, I met another of the employees and the owner, Maddie, both of whom could not have been more sweet. This is a welcome addition to the hilltop shopping area and is located near Taste. I was told it's been here for around a year or so. They have a lively Instagram where they update new additions to the shop often so you can see what's recently arrived. It's beautifully decorated inside with a range of unique and well priced ladies clothing and accessories like sunglasses and jewelry. There was a nice-sized sale section with items where there was only one left marked down. I highly recommend you support this shop. I've now met three of the employees and each one is such a sweetheart, and the dresses and clothing inside are high-quality and on trend. It was sometime in March. I'd bought a hot dog and a Dr. Pepper from the 7-Eleven on 17th Street. I ate and drank as I walked down the sidewalk and right in front of Half Moon - something happened. I have a theory about why some hot dogs agree with your stomach and some don't, but I won't go into it. It mainly deals with physics and pork farm sanitation. Anyway, this hot dog was NOT agreeing with me. I quickly finished it, but immediately regretted it. My stomach rumbled with a bewildered groan and I knew I had to get to a bathroom soon. I started to get dizzy and my body let out a loud bubbling sound. I did the "clenched cheek jog" right into Half Moon. The person behind the counter must have knew that something was wrong with me, because he pointed right to the bathroom. I tried to say "Thanks", but all that came out was a wet burp. I was in there for a good long time. I think they played a complete Grateful Dead concert recording. Thank goodness for the loud, numerous guitar solos. Upon emerging, I suggested that they should burn some incense in the bathroom. The clerk grabbed about 30 sticks and lit all of them. Somebody, I guess the manager or a customer, suggested I lie on the couch for a while and relax. I did and no sooner than 5 minutes into relaxing - I had to rush back into the bathroom! I stayed for the rest of the day, going from couch to bathroom. Back and forth and back and forth. The staff and customers were all so friendly when I explained what happened. Many shared similar experiences. We all agreed that 7-Eleven should not be in the hot dog business! They were closing, so I had to go. I will definitely be back this summer to buy some sort of bongo drum.

I was really disappointed and decided to call the HQ in VA Beach. I was put in touch with Jen the director of their surfboard department and my experience was completely turned around. Jen was professional, listened to my plight and went above and beyond to make things right. She put me in touch with Chris the manager in the obx shop and he carried the torch to the finish line. While speaking to Jen I discovered that they try to use American made products and materials as often as possible. That they really care about their employees and have a deep bench of experienced people that have been with them for many years. WRV is a large company and after the email shuffle I was sure that I wasn't important enough for my problems to be addressed. Jen completely proved me wrong and made me feel that not only was I important as a customer but everyone that works for them and the community around our beaches and in the lineup are number one when it comes to their business. WRV has made a believer out of me when it comes to great people and a solid business model. I will be a lifelong customer after this experience.

This is a small women's clothing boutique with beautiful, fashionable upscale clothing. The lady working inside was very friendly and welcoming. They had beautiful jeans, blouses, dresses shoes and accessories with a little jewelry in a glass case. There were business suits and blazers with skirts and nearly all types of items for your occasion. Several of the ladies inside were clearly regulars and that was nice to see. Note: this is an upscale store where a dress or blouse runs in $170-250 range per item. So, it's not for the faint of heart but had beautiful pieces to make a statement.
