Don't usually write reviews but had a pretty awful experience here. Came on a Ssaturday and both Yelp and the Storefront showed they were supposed to be open, but the doors were locked and no one answered. Tried calling a few times over the course of 2 hours and no one picked up. Since I really needed some insoles I came back later in the day, the "Open light" was still flashing but the door remained locked. Was able to see someone inside who unlocked the door, she didnt know anything about running, and advised the store did not sell insoles. Not sure why a run speciality store would hire staff who keeps the door locked during business hours, have no knowledge about running, and don't carry insoles. Wanted to support the local Walnut business but they really need to work on customer service. read more

I've been coming to RR since the first day but it's getting harder and harder to take classes. There was a 7:45 class up until last week and now those classes are gone and replaced with a 8:30 class which is too late for me to attend. I wish the class schedule stays the same to allow members to take the classes that fit their schedule. read more

I love Run Republic! I am a new runner and I have been on the hunt for experienced runners who can guide me and I found them at Run Republic. I was able to get answers to all my running questions and I also picked up a few unique running merchandise while I was there. I have already told a few friends about the store and am excited to visit the store when I can. Ordered several athlete powder drink mixes and edible gels from Run Republic. It was my first purchase with this store. When I opened my package as I had it delivered to my home, I discovered that all the drink mixes and gels were already expired or near expiration. I contacted Coach Joe via email to explain what I received. I informed him that I was not asking for anything in return nor a refund. I simply informed him of this so that it did not happen to someone else. I would say minutes later, I received an email reflecting a full refund of my payment back to the source of payment I used. Coach Joe is a CLASS ACT. He did not have to do that, but he did what was right. I have no issues shopping with them in the future. It's hard to find places that will do the right thing. I was completely not expecting Run Republic to do what they did. Run Republic "kinda restored my faith in humanity" because you seldom see people do "the right thing". Often times people are simply looking after themselves. Run Republic is not one of them. If you're looking for an honest establishment, you have found the right place! She dad a gait analysis and was able to fit me with the best shoes for my feet and arches. Then I when i left she recommended me with these sunglasses called Goodr that I cant keep off my face. they're better than my Oakley sunglasses. I love Run Republic! This gym is a bootcamp + athletic store. They're classes are amazing and everyone who works here are super nice. I love their boot camp sessions because they have a good selection of classes targeting different body parts daily. Their coaches are also very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This is a followup review to my previous one, when i started training with Giselle Alba at RR. I just finished my 11th training session and i am thoroughly satisfied with the progress. The result would have been much better, had i been more consistent with the exercises and followed the nutritional guidelines. Giselle's knowledge, attentiveness, and dedication to maintaining proper forms motivate me to work harder from session to session. She takes her time to explain every moment and what we want to accomplish. i feel more energetic, stronger and my overall physicality has improved. More feedback to come when i finish all 24 training sessions. And by the way, Run Republic is a great local shoe store as well. They have a nice selection of running shoes and insoles. My favorite is the Cur Rex insoles. Made a tremendous difference for me. read more

Joe. Nothing I have said is a lie. This is exactly what a bad business is about. I have proof of it. NO ONE told me it would take a month during the two weeks. I clearly remember that. You are making this situation worst because the first thing you all did is try to contact me through instagram and block after saying Hi. No one no one told me a month. I called back twice to double check. A couple days is not a month, anytime now is not a month. Joe is showing his true colors. Businesses and workers make mistakes. Y'all have done nothing to apologize for the situation. Your staff told me I would get reimbursed in 7 days. Im honest as I have been my entire life. Money was on my account the same day which I appreciated it. You calling a costumer a liar is bad business period. Fix the situation don't go into the defensive because I could here and call you all types of names and false accusations about you just to clear my name. Own up to growing as a owner and person because its shows your true colors. I had every right to be upset but I did not demand no shoes. What I asked for was my money back and thats all I did. I did not raise my voice. Your worker went back to look for the shows when I clearly asked for my money back. Pull out your cameras. I should have recorded the entire incident. read more

The class instructor, Nico Jáuregui, is very thorough and helpful to all the participants. He always takes his time to explain and demonstrate every exercise so that everybody understands. He is also very knowledgeable in strength training and in running. I would recommend joining Run Republic if you want a great workout. Not just Nico, but the other instructors are awesome as well. Called Run Republic a few more times and Berry picked up. Honestly Berry is probably my favorite person there. I communicated my problem to him and he understood what I was going through. He informed me that only Laura is able to process the information for me, but he was willing to take my name and number down so she could contact me. After 2 days of awaiting a phone call, I decided to go in to just get to the bottom of it. I got there at 9:35 AM and Laura was working at the front desk. I asked her if she got my message from Berry, of which she told me yes she did but she was too busy to get back to me just yet. I told her my issue, and she informed me that only billing department was able to handle my situation. I asked her if she needed my phone number to call me back, she immediately took out a book to jot my information down. Upon FINALLY seeing my message that was left with Berry, she told me oh is this you? Uhm, I thought you got my message already?! But I was too tired to deal with it, so I nodded and asked her how long it'll take to get back to me. She said she will get back to me in 2 days. Fast forward to two days after, I received a phone call from her stating that the billing has reversed the charge and I will see it in 10 days. Upon receiving the news, I thanked her and wished her a wonderful day. After 2 weeks, I decided to contact my credit card provider to see if the charges have been reversed. To my dismay, they have not received any notice from Run Republic. I eventually resorted to having my credit card provider dispute the charge. read more

It felt so great t return to run after a hiatus due to covid. I was underestimating the importance of exercising and the role it plays on our mental health. Only took 1 class and knew right away it was not a very dedicated gym. The classes were just an instructor preparing stations and not really a class. I knew I wasn't going to continue with the classes and was told to cancel my membership 2 days prior to the next billing cycle. I called and texted 5 days in advance to cancel during business hours but no one ever responded or picked up. After leaving a number of messages, they finally get back to me notifying me to call them. I did call but they did not pick up AGAIN. I texted them that I made the effort to cancel my membership within the timeframe they had told me in a timely manner and that I shouldn't be charged. They then texted back requesting that I physically come in to sign a cancellation form which I was not made aware of upon starting my trial. I was only told to call/text them for cancellation. I checked my statements and there it was $97 charged.... they have a very "SCAM" like tactic to prevent customers from cancelling and they make it difficult for you to do so. BEWARE!!!! read more
