I've been attending FIIT60 for over a year now, and it has honestly changed my life. I was never…read moreparticularly athletic, and after giving birth a few years ago my back pain really ramped up. A PT suggested I do strength training (nothing was really wrong, I was just weak), but I was worried about hurting my back further by doing things wrong. So I looked for a place with instruction and coaching, and found FIIT60. Mike has been such an incredible help! The first few months I needed a LOT of guidance and suggestions, but he was always there to correct my form an explain things clearly so I wouldn't hurt myself. Starting as a complete beginner was really daunting, but over time things became easier and I not only did I feel stronger, but my back hurt less, and I had more energy in general. I started attending more classes and after nearly a year I felt completely different from before. I'm still improving and learning because Mike knows how to increase the difficulty and make modifications for people of different skill levels. I've got long terms goals I want to hit, and I feel like I'm moving toward them! The mood in the classes is great too, in addition to the health benefits (which are many!), it's just a nice expereince and I look forward to going to class. Everyone there is really supportive and friendly, and Mike maintains an upbeat and positive environment. It's a very family friendly place too, you will spot the occasional kid chilling in the corner or even a baby in their stroller. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you're a beginner like I am then you're in good hands. And if you have more expereince, then there's plenty of room to grow here.

The workouts are always different with a mix of lifting, cardio, and gymnastics. I love the friends I've made, and it's such a wonderful gym family! I also love Sarah's noon classes (my go to class). There are a lot of options for class times and an olympic lifting class on Sundays from 10-11:30am, so even if I can't make a weekday class, I can still work out on the weekend. On Saturdays, we usually do a longer partner work out.

The set-up here is unique and very effective. We are assigned sets of work-outs to do, each of us choosing our comfort level of dumbbells, elastics or medicine balls among other high-end equipment. Coach Ashley positions herself so that she can see each participant clearly. The room is narrow, so we are somewhat in a line. Each work-out is timed and each participant is observed and corrected if the exercise is not done correctly. We are old. Ashley encourages, but does not push. The space is sparkling clean and well-ventilated. The work-out is intense and exhausting, but we are pleased with the results. You will be too.

I used to lowkey dread going because of how tough the workouts are, but realized that I need to change my mindset and keep it consistent. I eventually grown to enjoy it. It's one of those places that pushes you out of your comfort zone in a good way. It seems like a lot of the other girls in class were also new to the studio as well. The workout itself was perfectly paced, not too challenging and great for beginners or intermediates. I definitely recommend if you're new to these type of workouts. I do wish it was a bit more challenging but I still got a great sweat in. I will say the hours for classes vary so it's hard to fit into your schedule because of the limited times they have. Otherwise I loved my experience and would try again but don't think I'll be adding to my regular routine.

I'm especially excited to try their Pilates classes and the Tonal machines -- they're actually the only gym in the area that has them, which is such a cool perk. Shazia was amazing. She's hilarious, incredibly kind, and so encouraging throughout the entire class. She somehow made a tough workout fly by because the energy was just so positive and fun. I was also fasting during the workout (Ramadan!), so it definitely wasn't easy, but I left feeling so good and accomplished. I also really appreciate that it's a women's-only class, which makes it such a comfortable environment -- especially for me as someone who wears hijab. Overall such a great vibe, great instructor, and great facility. Would one million percent recommend!

I have followed them both from when they were trainers at another (now bankrupt) gym and even worked with them during COVID virtually. Shazia and I can be very humorous together and it's always a great time as I'm whining and complaining that I'm paying her to make me do heavy and exhausting exercises. Don't let that deter you though. Shazia loves to mix things up with her exercises and I'm always impressed by her vast knowledge of things to do to still target the same muscle groups. If you have an injury, she's quick on her feet to adjust any exercise or pivot entirely from her original game plan to accommodate. I had to stop working with her when I was sentenced to bed rest and I noticed how much of my mobility and strength had increased. She will challenge me and work progressively up in weights without overburdening me. Contrary to belief, I DON'T have to leave sore after every training workout to know it was a good one. She has an impeccably keen eye for form. She tells me if my hips are not aligned when I barely notice or that my feet aren't positioned correctly to do the exercise efficiently. She's also a stickler for making sure equipment is wiped after every contact so you know things are clean when you touch it. This place is SUPER women friendly (though not limited to only women). Because it's much smaller studio, you don't have to worry about too many other people being in the same space. I'm always leaving feeling great and knowing that she cares about my progress.
